This is being posted on your Talk page where you can receive messages from other Wikipedians and discuss issues and respond to questions. At the end of each message you will see a signature left by the editor posting. This is done by signing with four ~~~~ or by pressing or in the editing interface tool box, located just above the editing window (when editing). Do not sign edits that you make in the articles themselves as those messages will be deleted, but only when using the article talkpage, yours or another editor's talkpage. If you have any questions or face any initial hurdles, feel free to contact me on my talk page and I will do what I can to assist or give you guidance and contact information.

High school articles
[edit]Hi, Mishaindiana. I'm John from Idegon. Glad to see your interest in high school articles. It may be to your benefit to familiarize yourself with the guidelines for high school articles at WP:SCH/AG. One of the topics covered there are school songs. Mentioning the titles is fine, but we do not put in the lyrics. There are a couple of reasons for this but the main one is the potential for copyright issues. I am glad to see you have self reverted your reinsertion of the lyrics.
I assume from your username that you are originally from Indiana. Me, too. I hail from "Da Region" although I have been gone a long long time. Welcome to Wikipedia and happy editing. If I can ever be of help, feel free to contact me on my talk page. John from Idegon (talk) 21:34, 17 March 2014 (UTC)

Our IRC conversation
[edit]Hiya, I am going to assume it was you in IRC just a few minutes ago (if not, feel free to ignore the rest of this post). Your final comment before you left made me think that you had misunderstood my statement. Notability is not inherited, meaning that just because someone is listed on another Wikipedia page, does not mean that they themselves should have a page. Every page must be judged on its own merits, so please continue working on your draft! If you want more help, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 17:02, 28 September 2015 (UTC)
