Backlog drive
[edit]Hello MrLinkinPark333,
WikiProject Orphanage is holding a month long Backlog Elimination Drive to de-orphan articles which have orphan tags!
The goal is to eliminate the backlog of orphan articles. There are currently 53287 articles which have orphan tags. The drive is running from April 12, 2014 to May 12, 2014.
Awards will be given out for all editors participating in the drive in the form of barnstars at the end of the drive. To add your name in the participants list click here.
So start de-orphaning articles! Click here to see the list of articles need de-orphaning.

May 2014 disambig contest: let's do it again!
[edit]Greetings fellow disambiguator! Remember back in February when we made history by clearing the board for the first time ever, for the monthly disambiguation contest? Let's do it again in May! I personally will be aiming to lead the board next month, but for anyone who thinks they can put in a better effort, I will give a $10 Amazon gift card to any editor who scores more disambiguation points in May. Also, I will be setting up a one-day contest later in the month, and will try to set up more prizes and other ways to make this a fun and productive month. Cheers! bd2412 T 18:49, 28 April 2014 (UTC)
A barnstar for you!

Speedy deletion declined: Talk:What Life Stole from Me
[edit]Hello MrLinkinPark333. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Talk:What Life Stole from Me, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Does not rely on a page that does not exist. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 18:13, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
- There was a broken redirect from this page and the other one you declined. Strange that it's gone. Thanks for the correction. --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 18:49, 26 July 2014 (UTC)

Interview for The Signpost
[edit]- This is being sent to you as a member of WikiProject Orphanage
The WikiProject Report would like to focus on WikiProject Orphanage for a Signpost article. This is an excellent opportunity to draw attention to your efforts and attract new members to the project. Would you be willing to participate in an interview? If so, here are the questions for the interview. Just add your response below each question and feel free to skip any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering. Multiple editors will have an opportunity to respond to the interview questions, so be sure to sign your answers. If you know anyone else who would like to participate in the interview, please share this with them. Thanks, Rcsprinter123 (confess) @ 18:30, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
Film categories
[edit]Hi. Thanks for your recent edit on this article. Please note that all films have three primary categories (Year, Country and Language) per WP:FILMCAT. So the category Category:Argentine films should not be removed, even though there is a category for Argentine drama films. The latter is a sub-cat of Argentine films by genre, and not films by country. Also each country category has the following text: "For convenience, all Argentine films are included in this category. This includes all Argentine films that can also be found in the subcategories." If you have any further questions, please visit the Film Project. Thanks. Orphaned non-free image File:ArtofMurderFBIConfidential.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:ArtofMurderFBIConfidential.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:57, 21 March 2015 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:ArtofMurderFBIConfidential.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:ArtofMurderFBIConfidential.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:57, 21 March 2015 (UTC)
