Article assessments

[edit]

Thanks for assessing 1980 Markina attack and 1980 Zarautz attack. However I'm mystified as to why you've tagged them as start class, the criteria for which says: "The article has a usable amount of good content but is weak in many areas, usually in referencing. Quality of the prose may be distinctly unencyclopedic, and MoS compliance non-existent;" In this case, the articles are as well referenced as they can be, the prose is certainly not unencylopedic and they both meet WP:MOS, including lead sections, infobox and paragraphs. Maybe you can have a look again? Valenciano (talk) 20:58, 7 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I don't think they are long enough to be considered C-class. The 'Reactions' section could be expanded based on the references given to the article. By the way, references in non-English languages must include the language they are written in. Some Spain-related articles that are C-class: Averroes, Battle of Los Alporchones, Alhambra... They're just random articles I have chose from this list. Also, you can see the example that Wikipedia gives, Architecture of Sweden.  Nafield  (talk • contribs) 00:51, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that. Still not sure that length is such a major factor in all of this (the criteria doesn't say so) but I'll leave it for the time being. Valenciano (talk) 19:09, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Nóos case, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Falsification and José Luis Ballester (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm Faizan Al-Badri. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made with this edit to Talk:Eastern Catalan, because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, Faizan(talk) 14:32, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I don't think it's necessary to have a assessment WikiProject template in a page that now doesn't exist. I mean, that page was redirected to another one (talk page is only an archive), it's the new one the one that has to include the assessment. It only inflates the number of articles related to a WikiProject. It's better to have the actual number of (for example) Spain-related articles, isn't it?  Nafield  (talk • contribs) 14:43, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sure! Faizan(talk) 14:46, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Talk:Diada de Sant Jordi with this edit, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Please do not remove all content from pages without explanation, as you did with this edit to Talk:Emanuele Filiberto, Duke d' Aosta. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. I dream of horses @ 14:33, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You have my apologies. It's all right to reinstate your edits.I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 14:46, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Luis Merlo has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 18:57, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Nafield, I copyedited that one for you and added a couple of refs to show notability. If you need any other articles copyedited, just leave a note on my talkpage. Keep up the good work! Valenciano (talk) 19:53, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I try to do my best when writing in English :) By the way, are you Spanish? Just to know it.  Nafield  (talk • contribs) 20:03, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No I'm Irish but lived quite a few years in Valencia, though I'm now in Kazakhstan. :) Most of the stuff I write on here is Spanish/Basque related though. Valenciano (talk) 20:28, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That's far, ha! :) BTW, I responded to this DYK nomination of mine that you reviewed.  Nafield  (talk • contribs) 20:45, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

DYK nomination of Suicides for eviction in Spain

[edit]

Hello! Your submission of Suicides for eviction in Spain at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! —♦♦ AMBER(ЯʘCK) 08:31, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have renamed the article to Suicide in Spain. To learn how to improve that article, look at other examples, like Suicide in the United States and Suicide in Japan. --George Ho (talk) 17:14, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
