User talk:Oertherdb
Apologies if this is an inappropriate request for admin assistance. I am writing to request assistance on possible vandalism of BLP article Daniel Oerther (i.e., see unsourced/poorly sourced edits since 31 March by recently created/anonymous account(s)). As I am the subject of the article (i.e., COI), I had thought the appropriate approach was to place a helpme tag on Talk:Daniel Oerther asking other editors to consider reverting and/or placing a semi-protected status on Daniel Oerther. After reading further the links shared by Phil Bridge on Talk:Daniel Oerther, it seems that a more appropriate approach is to place an adminhelp tag on my user talk page here with a description of the concern. Again, if this is also a wrong approach, I'm open to reading more to better understand how I might address this concern. Thanks, in advance, for assistance. - I've had a quick look and reverted the latest addition. If it's accurate, it will likely be included in some form sooner or later, but it will need better sourcing and an encyclopaedic tone. That should solve the immediate problem. For anything longer-term, you might be best asking for help at WP:BLPN. Best, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 14:06, 13 April 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Alumni Thematic International Exchange Seminars. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. — 🎆 Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 00:20, 1 January 2020 (UTC) Thanks. That's a very helpful point. I wasn't fully aware of the "rules", and I'll make an effort to go back and fix past entries and include this approach as part of future work. Very helpful! Alumni Thematic International Exchange Seminars moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Alumni Thematic International Exchange Seminars, does not have enough independent sources and citations as written to remain published. (Medium is the only 3rdparty source, and it isn't really reliable enough to show notability ) . I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
