Please do not add nonsense about Weymouth to the article. --♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 14:40, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Hero (Mariah Carey song and The X Factor Finalist 2008 ) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. VasuVR (talk, contribs) 02:53, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Moving pages

[edit]

Hi, Paigntonuk. It seems you're having a bit of trouble moving a page, Weymouth, Dorset, to Weymouth. First, there's already a disambiguation page at Weymouth, so if the article about the town in Dorset is to be moved, the disambiguation page will have to be moved. Because the move might be considered controversial, you should list it at the page for requested moves, so other editors can discuss it, and see if the town is the primary meaning for Weymouth.

Lastly, in the future, page moves should be performed by using the "move" button at the top of the page, no by copy-paste. The reason for this is because the terms of the GDFL (the license under which all of Wikipedia is licensed) require that all authors be given credit; this is accomplished through the edit history. By separating the two, the GDFL is voided, which legally means no one can reproduce the content. I hope that makes sense. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me, either here, or on my talk page. Regards, Parsecboy (talk) 01:46, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Paigntonuk. I unblocked you, since you apparently weren't trying to vandalize. Please accept my apologies for the misunderstanding. J.delanoygabsadds 01:50, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of London FM Stations

[edit]

A tag has been placed on London FM Stations, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Heart logo and radio stations

[edit]

Hello. Please stop adding image:Heart-network-logo.png‎ to lots of unrelated articles. Thanks. -- zzuuzz (talk) 20:43, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And it would be just great if you could not add any other unrelated logos to unrelated articles. Thanks. -- zzuuzz (talk) 20:45, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please avoid substantial edits to Heart radio stations without discussing them on the talk page. Thanks, --♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 21:40, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please note that WP:CONSENSUS is an important part of Wikipedia. Moving or renaming articles usually requires a consensus in order to prevent revert wars. Please discuss any proposed moves or renames on the relevant talk pages.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 22:03, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

2CR FM

[edit]

If there is going to be a change in name to the station, you should wait until the change has happened, and provide reliable sources so that this can be verified. I've rolled back your edits to 2CR FM for now. Fences and windows (talk) 00:15, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

A tag has been placed on Brenton-Lee Jones requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

Proposed deletion of California Pop Rock Music

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article California Pop Rock Music, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Seemingly non-notable genre of music, no reliable sources cited

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. TheLetterM (talk) 15:51, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Brenton Radio, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brenton Radio. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Gordonrox24 | Talk 13:33, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
