Thank you for your additions to David Gilmour, Baron Gilmour of Craigmillar. I'm always delighted that others know more, here, than I do. - Peter Ellis - Talk 11:08, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Defaultsort

Hi, maybe I've misunderstood what you wrote, but it seems like you're suggesting it's ideal not to use defaultsort. The link you suggested (Wikipedia:Categorization#Setting_a_default_sort_key) states exactly the opposite:

"Explicitly stating a default sort key is preferable to having no default sort key, as this leaves a record of the decision that the title is the sort key. Leaving it blank means that later editors cannot tell which articles have been checked for default sort and which have not."

Or maybe you were just supporting my use of the template? - TheMightyQuill (talk) 03:28, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Ahhh.. I see. Sorry for the confusion. I actually have been using a colon instead of a pipe with defaultsort; Although I didn't realize there was a significant difference between a template and "a magic word", I followed the instructions on that template page to use a colon. Still, it's worth making sure, so thanks for doing so. - TheMightyQuill (talk) 03:51, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Bloodhounds of Broadway (1989 film), and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.geocities.com/allmadonna/bloodhounds.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 04:56, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Nope. I just happened along and corrected the markup; I didn't have anything to do with creating either article, and I don't know anything about their respective subjects. —Paul A (talk) 11:27, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

Hello. WP:MOSNUM and WP:MOSDATE were recently changed, and we no longer link dates. Thanks. -- Ssilvers (talk) 05:58, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

Dear Paul, if you'd like more information on the change to the practice on date autoformatting, and our existing guidelines that recommend against the linking of date fragments and common terms such as "US" and "Australia", please ask me. Tony (talk) 13:02, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

request for third opinion

Hi, I and my fellow editors are facing a deadlock on a issue of removing/toning down a section on 'allegation of cruelty' as subsection under 'criticism' section in Operation Blue Star article, concerns include WP:NPOV, the summary of dispute can be found at [1], please let us know your views/opinion at the talk page of the article so that 'alleged' bias may be looked into and a consensual solution may be found. Thanks LegalEagle (talk) 07:38, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
