License tagging for Image:ECover of History-Fiction or Science? Chronology 1,2,3 .jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:ECover of History-Fiction or Science? Chronology 1,2,3 .jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:06, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Dr Prof Anatoly Fomenko.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Dr Prof Anatoly Fomenko.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Addhoc 16:02, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Cover of History-Fiction or Science? Chronology 1,2,3 .jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cover of History-Fiction or Science? Chronology 1,2,3 .jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 01:26, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New Chronology (Fomenko)[edit]

Hi Poggio Bracciolini. Just to say that I've removed some material that from the criticism section of the New Chronology (Fomenko) article. It included some material that you recently added, but I was primarily aiming to remove the critical material that you were commenting on. This critical material was overlong and seemed to revolve around a single source, whose reliability was questionable (may just be A.N. Other blog). Anyway, I thought I'd better let you know as my deletion removed some text that you had added. I've also removed other criticism/discussion of Fomenko that were covered further down in the article more comprehensively. Finally, I've added some "unreferenced" tags to portions of the criticism section that contain no sources. Cheers, --Plumbago 17:08, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Advertising Links[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, one or more of the external links you added to the page New Chronology (Fomenko) do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Hi. You were asked to cite correctly, including page numbers, to pertinent passages you are referencing. Maybe use the article talk page to discuss your edit further. Thanks. El_C 15:28, 18 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

We have videos on citing sources at Wikipedia:Meetup/UMassAmherst/Intro to Wikipedia. This really isn't optional. Doug Weller talk 15:54, 18 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
And we can use Amazon for publishing details but not quotes. Please revert. Thanks. There's a real learning curve here sometimes. Doug Weller talk 20:10, 18 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Poggio Bracciolini/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/141656380/history-fiction-or-science-historiology-vs-histori. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Spamming the same message[edit]

on multiple editors' talk pages (and in at least one case, their user page!). You have said the same thing to User talk:Primefac, User:KGirlTrucker81, and User talk:Amortias now. I understand you may be feeling frustratated at the moment, but having asked one administrator a question, that administrator will certainly reply to you. There is no rush; remember, they are all volunteers, and unfortunately 'real life' sometime gets in the way of an immediate answer :) have a coffee. — O Fortuna! Poggio, when you say same content is on wordpress, indiagogo, amazon.com, that means the content is under copyright. If you were the one who originally wrote the text (and can verify) you can release the text for use (see WP:DONATETEXT). As a note regarding the actual content of your sandbox draft, remember that Wikipedia is not a promotional space or soapbox, and that everything needs to be written in a neutral point of view. Conflict of interest?[edit]

I note that you've never been asked if you have any relationship to Fomenko or his New Chronology. Do you? Doug Weller talk 10:41, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You haven't answer my question. You need to read WP:COI. I've removed your blog, it fails WP:EL and of course you shouldn't be adding your own blog to an article. Doug Weller talk 13:24, 31 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
