Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Polllilur, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Phillip timmens, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Dawn Bard (talk) 16:48, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Phillip timmens requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Dawn Bard (talk) 16:48, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for contributing the new article Battle of Wuchale. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable, by being clearly attributed to reliable sources. Please help by adding more sources to the article you created, and/or by clarifying how the sources already given support the material (see here for how to do inline referencing). Many thanks! PS If you need any help, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Congratulations on making your first Wikipedia page! Unfortunately, you have created four articles that are either sourced to nonexistent external sites or nonexistent Wikipedia pages. In any circumstance, sourcing articles to other Wikipedia pages does not meet the threshold for reliability. Please go back to the articles that you have created and make sure to verify the article's content by providing a reliable and independent source, indicating where you read the information used to create each article. Remember, do not use Wikipedia as a source. If you need help, feel free to contact me. Cindy(talk to me) 18:01, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Articles

[edit]

I apologize for marking these articles as 'hoaxes'. I guess the 'faggeta' thing threw me off, plus I suppose that's also culturally insensitive. Anyway, I hope you take the time to expand these beyond a single line. If you need help, leave a message on my talk page. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 18:12, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. A page you recently created, Battle of Nefas Mewcha, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new pages, so it will be removed shortly (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests, and consider using the Article Wizard. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Your first article. You may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. It is very important that you stop mass creation of inappropriately sourced articles. Again, it is inappropriate to source Wikipedia articles using other Wikipedia articles for citations. Cindy(talk to me) 18:33, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing inappropriate pages, such as Ottoman–Persian War (1775–1779), is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. The page has been nominated for deletion, in accordance with Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". The article Ottoman–Persian War (1775–1779) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable conflict (actually, of dubious existence) with no sources; no need for article as bigger topic is already sufficiently covered.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. dci | TALK 02:24, 19 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
