User talk:Rangakuvara
(Rangakuvara (talk) 10:54, 1 September 2019 (UTC)) Sir, I have reiterated that since I'm not very much qualified. Only a diploma holder in textiles, from Bengaluru. I'm not able to understand the elaborate rules etc on your site. Please tell me in simple terms, and allow me to contribute a few more articles in kannada my mother tongue and English. One should pardon the mistake of a person, and allow him to be a useful person to the mankind. Even the prisnors are given fair chance. I have purchased a Nikon camera model D3400 and wanted to contribute some nice pics. I am interested to take part in the photographic competition. Nothing is possible. I'm very much disgusted. With request, and kind regards, (Rangakuvara (talk) 07:37, 23 November 2016 (UTC)) Sir, as you are aware, I'm 72 years old man(turning 73,on 24th,Jan,2017) find it difficult to read; my eyesight is becoming poor. I'm still active because, I would like to use this medium to project some of the local talents, of our blessed land of ours-India. I'm not able to read and understand the intricate, and elaborate rules and regulations of wikimedia/wikipedia as well. Regarding the photo of Mr.B.N.Srikrishna, I had to struggle to get the same for nearly one full month. He is a Mumbaite like me, and a very busy man. I could not get him on the phone. I tried in his residence and talked to Mr.Purnima srikrishna. Although his photos are plenty, mostly non of them are shared by the public media. After so many emails, His secretary sent me one photo, which was not jpg.so could not open it. Finally I opened and reduced the size of it, and uploaded on Wikimedia commons. Finally I placed it on his existing article in English. I created an article in kannada, and fixed the pic. But to my surprise, it was deleted by your editors. I'm not able to understand the simple logic. I respect your privacy and copy right rules and regulations. But in this simple case an old man of 72 years want to create the genuine article and fix a connected pic, it became a nightmare. Rules are made by men/women to the benefit of humanity. Mr. B.N.Srikrisha himself sent me his pic by e-mail. where is the necessity of permission ? I think this can be simplified. His article did not have his pic for so many years until I took up updating his article. Any way I'm always hurt to think my small contribution is/was wasted. I feel sorry to cite this instance. forgive. Let the Lord dicide, the future course of action.
(Rangakuvara (talk) 06:15, 4 October 2015 (UTC)) When the BMC of Mumbai changed the name to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, still the museum was referred in the Wikipedia as The Prince of wales museum. I was the first one to change to the present name namely :Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya,Mumbai. But the editorial staff mentioned in Talk column that the earlier name is to be put, and deleted my editing.
(Rangakuvara (talk) 13:44, 2 October 2015 (UTC)) It seems that on 10th, August, 2015, deletion of the picture of the statue of King George Vth,(Then he was holding the post of prince of Wales) took place from the pages of English Wikipedia, by one of the members of your editorial board. In English wikipedia, there was no photo of King George the Vth's statue picture. The picture of the statue is so relevant. I was the first one to take this important picture and upload both in English and Kannada wikipedia. I had to spend so much of my precious time, and efforts in organising to collect this picture. Because the name on which the famous Museum is built was King George the 5th of England. He had come to Mumbai during 1905 for laying the foundation stone of the building, and later during 1911, on his way to attend 'THE FAMOUS DELHI DURBAR'. When I went to the museum, the said statue was covered with Tarpaulin. No one was ready to open the Tarpaulin and no one, including the foreign visitors were able to take the picture of this statue. I went and met one of the Senior officers and explained about the importance of fixing the picture. After 45 minutes of convincing, he agreed to give the permission. That is how, I took the pic and fixed it in English and Kannada Wikipedia articles as well. This is the background. But one of your editors have removed it. 'It is not justified at all'. I would like to inform this to the founder of Wikipedia, Mr. Jimmy Wales. Let us see whether he agrees with this kind of action.
(Rangakuvara (talk) 07:17, 31 August 2015 (UTC)) William Lawrence was a world renowned Botanist, and probably he is of special kind. Every researcher who pursues his or her career in Cotton research invariably must owe this great scientist.
(Rangakuvara (talk) 04:09, 11 April 2015 (UTC)) Periodic update is needed. Even certain relevant pictures were not added. I visited this place last week and took a few important pics and incorporated today. (Rangakuvara (talk) 03:42, 13 February 2014 (UTC)) I'm writing in kannada wikipedia in a name called Radhatanaya. Written more than 1000 articles. On 17th, November, 2013 there was a 10th year kannada wikipedia meet at Bengaluru. I was given a memento and a T-shirt.
(Rangakuvara (talk) 12:29, 12 February 2014 (UTC)) I have a written a book entitled 'My spin lab' in 2005, where I have highlighted all the Directors, and other officer, and our operatives, of Technological lab of 1924, to 2004 till I got retired. I have a nice photo of Dr. Turner and the picture of of our Technological laboratory of 1923. I would like to place them on this article. How to do it ?
(Rangakuvara (talk) 02:18, 3 August 2013 (UTC)) The Wikipedia is a very vibrant source of knowledge which can be utilized by any one, in any part of the globe, at any point of time. It should be periodically updated. It is ridiculous that the Title of the Museum has not been changed even after several years after changing the name to Chatrapati shivaji maharaj....
(Rangakuvara (talk) 04:39, 28 July 2013 (UTC)) I have taken a special pic of Prince of wales(Future King George the Vth)and posted in the article. The statue was covered with Tarpaulin when I visited the Museum. I took the permission from one Mr. Shetty and went with the watchman, removed the cover, and took nice pictures.
(Rangakuvara (talk) 11:43, 5 July 2013 (UTC)) This programme was attended by me and my wife. Lata pada and Vani ganapathy, Sitara devi, were among several celebrity-disciples of Shri.Rajarajeshwari Natya mandir, Mumbai.
(Rangakuvara (talk) 09:03, 8 April 2013 (UTC))
Some how I am not able to understand the policy of your Photo fixing. I feel the rules are made to simply the drudgery and on the contrary it is very troublesome and in spite of working in the organization for decades, I feel my knowledge is of no use for the readers. You can delete or whatever you can do. Thanks.
(Rangakuvara (talk) 18:31, 29 June 2012 (UTC)) I made a mistake in copying the picture of the Swaminarayan mandir, to the kannada Wikipedia. But to my surprise the pic was red in colour. Actually the white marble is being used. Please correct the same. Now I'm staying at Toronto, Canada.
(Rangakuvara (talk) 17:41, 24 March 2011 (UTC))
I was not aware of licenses for the pics That I have posted. For some My photos are posted. Any way you can delete them if you consider objectionable. Thanks. Rangakuvara
(Rangakuvara (talk) 12:12, 9 April 2011 (UTC)) I am very much there but doing editing in kannada wikipedia mostly. Rangakuvra.

Ravindranath tagore article is good. Perhaps one has to correct certain words, such as Santiniketan, etc; Santiniketan is not correct when one understands the meaning of it. This is a sanskrit word. Shanti is peace; and niketan is abode. Santhi is a word used in Tamil language. The reason being, they have very limited alphabets like English. They do not have G letter. For example, Gopala krishna, they say Kopala krishana, Gopi was a lady in a village, who was a devotee of Lord Krishna. Kopi means one who is angry. For Maryada purushottam Ram, they call Ramathan, which is very common in Tamilnadu. But The word should be Ramanathan, not Ramanadan. Besides, Santhi, Siva, Sankara, Sobha etc; look very embarrassing. The Sanskrit words should be pronounced as Sanskrit. Not as Tamil. I think whole article needs this kind of correction.

Speedy deletion nomination of U.B.Rao & Sons
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on U.B.Rao & Sons, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. -- Patchy1 09:58, 29 November 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus, as you did to Prince of Wales Museum. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains under way. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you. There was already a move discussion on this page, and the result was to keep the page named "Prince of Wales Museum." Since it's controversial, you should have started a new discussion before moving the page. Paris1127 (talk) 03:51, 3 August 2013 (UTC)
