Wikipedia guidelines require a citation for direct quotations. The entire addition should be sourced although that may come from the same source. Please review the linked pages on reliable sourcing.

Hi, I've reverted your edit to Hoover Dam as WP:LEADCITE states that statements in the lead section of an article need not be sourced if they simply repeat what is stated in the body of the article and also it is not necessary to mention Hoover Dam is in the United States as the existing first sentence says it is on the border between two US states. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
