Succession boxes
Hi. I see you recently edited Give In to Me and added a succession box for New Zealand, and your user page states you have an aim to add these to different articles. You'll generally find most users will remove these, as they are considered deprecated for music charts (and have been for years). I'd say the succession box was already on this article and previously removed. "See also" sections linking to the chart's number-one list of that year are preferred; this is the reason why newer singles do not contain succession boxes, and older songs and albums that went to number-one that are good article quality or above in most cases do not feature them. Just a note so you don't waste your time adding them while some users will remove them. Ss112 10:36, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
Missing RPM Top Singles songs 1965 and 1966
Hello. Thanks for making Pop Singer (John Cougar Mellencamp song). I was wondering if you had access to RPM issues from 1965 and 1966 as there are weeks in both articles without the number one single: 26 April 1965, 31 May 1965 and 3 January 1966. Unfortunately Library and Archives Canada are missing these charts on their website. --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 23:30, 3 April 2018 (UTC)

Are you also the user Big universe?
Hi. I saw earlier today that you used "(NS)" in two edit summaries, one on Finally (CeCe Peniston song) here. The only other user I've seen using this in edit summaries is Big universe. Are you also this editor? Because if so, I don't understand why you're using two accounts, and you should declare any alternative accounts you use on each account's user page. Thanks. Ss112 09:40, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
- If not, I don't understand what "NS" stands for. Ss112 09:41, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Ss112: No, I'm am not the user Big universe, and I often abbreviate on my edit summaries. (NS) means "number sign" (#), and I saw this Big universe user using it so I decided to do so myself. I assure you I have no alternative account and I do not yet have the scope of knowledge to make one. I'll change "(NS) Formatting" to "# Formatting" or just "Formatting" if it bugs you.
- @Ss112: Upon encountering some other edits by Big universe, I'm starting to doubt "NS" means "number sign", but it means something, otherwise it wouldn't be used. Either way, I'm going to omit it from my summaries from now on.
Dreams (The Cranberries song)
Hi, just in regards to this edit you made, the Spanish singles chart archived on spanishcharts.com later changed when they overhauled their site, so there's still quite a few examples of Spanish peaks no longer supported by the single chart template link around on Wikipedia. Ss112 10:15, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Ss112: My philosophy is that if it doesn't show the peak, don't publish it, just to be safe. You can re-add the Spanish chart if you want, or find another source that proves it. Whatever you see fit.
P.S. Thanks for keeping up with my recent edits; I appreciate the feedback. Nowmusicfan2816 (talk) 14:09, 26 April 2018 (UTC)- I don't think I added the Spanish peak, I'm just telling you what the deal with it is (it used to show the peak, it no longer does due to the site changing its singles chart to be in line with the official PROMUSICAE chart rather than its own top 50 chart). I personally wouldn't be linking to a website that doesn't show the peak. Ss112 13:00, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Ss112:I wasn't assuming you added the chart either. I was just saying you could have put the chart back up if you wanted to, but I guess not. I don't keep a close eye on Spain's charts, so I probably won't check up on this for a while. If ever the peak does show up, you can add it. Nowmusicfan2816 (talk) 14:09, 26 April 2018 (UTC)

If You Don't Know Me by Now chart successions
I recently edited this article and put in the "chart successions" (and some re-wording), but I foolishly failed to notice you had removed this information prior, because of the debate on whether they should be featured in articles or not. Although I personally think they add more to the article's information, I assume you don't think they should be included. I'm wondering if I (or you) should remove it again. Jccgclrc (talk) 12:07, 7 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Jccgclrc: That's what I thought they did too at first, but after a few users told me that succession boxes were deprecated, I stopped editing them for the most part. Then I found out almost everyone thinks succession boxes in music articles are deprecated, so that's why I removed all the ones I could. It's not about your personal preference, but about Wikipedia's Manual of Style regarding record charts, which has been recently updated. Chances are someone else will remove the boxes if you don't, so you should undo your edit. Nowmusicfan2816 (talk) 12:37, 7 June 2018 (UTC)

Polish Chart
Hi, please stop adding LP3 charts to the articles. It is a WP:SINGLEVENDOR and should never be placed in tables of charts. LP3 is a single radiostation in Poland. Thanks. -- Max24 (talk) 10:01, 10 May 2019 (UTC)
- @Max24: I will stop adding the chart, but several users on the WP:Record Charts talk page don't refuse this chart; see the archive page for more info. I suggest, if you feel strongly about this, starting another discussion regarding LP3's legitimacy. If it is added as a BADCHART/website to avoid or otherwise, I will personally go through all the articles to which I added the chart and remove it. Until then, I'm not doing anything else about it. BPI certifications
Hey, when adding BPI certifications to articles (e.g., "Other Side of Love"), please can you also add to the artist's main discography page (in this instance, Sean Paul discography). It saves other users, such as me, having to check that both of these have been done each time the latest BPI certifications are released. Happy to discuss further if needed, thanks - AlligatorSky (talk) 10:17, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
- @AlligatorSky: I don't generally edit discography articles since there's too much information; I only edit them if I need to correct a position, add a link, or fix an error. Meanwhile, when I checked the link you added, the BPI site gave me a 404. I'm not too keen on checking all the links and refnames to see if they're working correctly; it's too tedious for me. I'm more of a single-song editor. Besides, if I feel I'm given more work than I need, I lose my motivation to edit, and checking the discography pages seems like too much. Maybe you could check my contribs page to see which articles I've updated and check the updated BPI list at the same time. I always type something like "+(Charts and) Certifications; +UK; updated UK cert; etc." in my summaries when I do. As for updating the discography pages...not really my strong point. If it's a problem we can continue to discuss it. Nowmusicfan2816 (talk) 13:32, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
Hi there! I just created a page for the soundtrack of the 1997 Disney film Hercules, would you kindly add the certifications? DanWarpp (talk) 01:13, 20 July 2019 (UTC)
- @DanWarpp: According to WP:ALBUM/CERT, you should only create a certifications table only if the album has been awarded multiple certifications. The only one I could find was a US gold certification, so this does not warrant the creation of a table. Also, please keep in mind I specialize in songs, not albums; I am a member of WikiProject Songs. I've added chart and certification info to no more than three album articles, so I'm not used to it. In the future, if you create an article about a song, I'd be happy to look for certifications. Nowmusicfan2816 (talk) 03:04, 20 July 2019 (UTC)
- Hi again! I just created an article for Sneaker Pimps' song "Post-Modern Sleaze", I'd appreciate if you could add the sales and certifications. Thanks :D DanWarpp (talk) 21:12, 21 July 2019 (UTC)
- @DanWarpp: I added all the charts I could find. BTW, I notice you are a new user, so if you'd like to add charts yourself, I have a section on my user page with several links leading to chart sites, and you should also pay a visit Template:Single chart, Template:Album chart and Wikipedia:Record charts. Nowmusicfan2816 (talk) 22:25, 21 July 2019 (UTC)

Hi again! Can you please add the charts to this song? I tried but I couldn't get them formated right. Sorry for bothering you but I'd appreciate if did that, thanks :) DanWarpp (talk) 17:39, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
- @DanWarpp: I've added the charts to the article, as well as the Canadian rock/alternative position for "Been It" since I considered making an article for that song a while ago. Nowmusicfan2816 (talk) 18:08, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
Thanks! one more thing...why does the talk page of the Hercules soundtrack article redirect to the film's talk page? DanWarpp (talk) 22:42, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
- @DanWarpp: I didn't add the redirect, so I wouldn't know. You should find the user who did on the the talk page's View History and ask them. Nowmusicfan2816 (talk) 23:18, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
Iceland charts
Hi, you are doing a great job of adding the official Iceland charts. But do you by any chance know which Iceland charts these are linked here: [1] and here: [2] ? Thanks. QuintusPetillius (talk) 16:49, 8 October 2019 (UTC)
- No worries, I have used Google to translate the info.QuintusPetillius (talk) 17:41, 8 October 2019 (UTC)
- @QuintusPetillius: That's good. I've pretty much gone through every issue containing the Topp 40 by this point and added about 80% of the English-language songs that charted in Iceland. I'll be sure to check this site from now on if I edit an article without the Icelandic chart. Nowmusicfan2816 (talk) 17:59, 8 October 2019 (UTC)

Italian charts
Hello! I saw that you posted the chart positions of some Britney Spears’ singles! By any chance do you have more links of the source you posted? I’m trying to retrieve those singles chart runs. Thanks for your help! Kind Regards Lorenzoact (talk) 07:13, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
- @Lorenzoact: This is the source you can use: [3]. Find the "99" section and start searching. I've added the Musica e dischi positions of Spears' first three singles, but afterwards is when FIMI started publishing singles charts here [4], so I stopped after "(You Drive Me) Crazy". You can also search the issues for reviews or other info about Spears' singles if you want. Just remember to cite. Nowmusicfan2816 come to my window 13:21, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
