Adrian Dix edit

[edit]

Thanks for catching this and yea, it's a very POV account for sure, though based on actual facts......whoever it is got it wrong, it wasn't an "Okanagan cottage" (which conjures up visions of a little house with a garden) it was a cabin on Shuswap Lake, which isn't in the Okanagan. The full Casinogate article hasn't been written, but kinda needs to be but will be a POV minefield.......and a lot of the other side of the story won't be in the mainstream media, such as that Pilarinos' casino bid had a rival in the same part of Burnaby that was a private gambling club for retired RCMP, with Liberal insider Peter Montague ("we specialize in smear campaigns" during the Gustafson Lake crisis) a partner; and the mysteries of how it was that BCTV showed up before the RCMP got to Clark's front porch and how Gordon Campbell's campaign office is supposed to have been behind the whole thing; "Liberal" accounts of the event always omit the fact that Clark's charges were thrown out, and while they get on Dix's case about this memo, document-fudging and document-destruction are known to be a Campbellite specialty........but you did good, this bit about the memo is one of the main "talking points" against Dix......as if Christy Clark hasn't done anything equally or more suspect herself, or other BC Liberals.......I just monitor these articles, I'm too POV to write them much, and have a kinda COI as I'm a known anti-neocon news forum commentor.....Skookum1 (talk) 01:37, 7 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps an NPOV rewrite would be possible, if necessary? Revolution1221 (talk · email · contributions) 01:57, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ueleni Fono, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Flanker (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion declined: C.D. Maxaquene (basketball)

[edit]

Hello Revolution1221. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of C.D. Maxaquene (basketball), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not a recently created redirect - consider WP:RfD. Thank you. ~ Amory (utc) 21:11, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am a freshmen in wikipedia. I don't know how to delete an article. So, please delete this pages: Hc Ertis-Pavlodar and Gornyak Rudnyi, because they are already exist: Ertis Pavlodar and Gornyak Rudny. Thanks!

I cannot delete an article, I am not an admin. AfD it. Revolution1221 (talk · email · contributions) 20:20, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not your best edit, [[1]]. I assume you were trying to revert the vandalism but Secret (talk | contribs) beat you to it and you ended up reverting him and re-adding the vandalism. Cheers M8, King of Nothing (talk) 18:51, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, my bad. It should have resulted in an edit conflict, but there must've been an error in the system that caused me to revert the wrong edit. Revolution1221 (talk · email · contributions) 01:57, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to TAFI

[edit]

Namaste, and a very hearty Welcome to the TAFI (active) members!

It was quite a pleasant surprise to see a newer member handling the various procedure towards scheduling, and on behalf of the rest of us, I would like to thank you for participating!

I hope you'll stay at TAFI for a long time, and also help around in other areas of the project. Which reminds me, have you tried editing our articles? It would be nice if you do. Also, we would also love to hear your opinions on the many things we're discussing at the talk page.

Cheers and Enjoy! TheOriginalSoni (talk) 22:50, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! Honestly, I mostly don't expand articles. Mostly, I tag for cleanup or deletion, or actually clean up. Lately, I've been working on disambiguation pages and very short stubs, but I'll probably just stick to tagging for now. Revolution1221 (talk · email · contributions) 01:57, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You should give it a try, sooner or later! I think you can make a good content creator, if you start doing it. I suggest Listeria [the TAFI] to be a great article to try, if you do consider doing it. [Its a stub - Its TAFI - It can be expanded well (It has good sources)] TheOriginalSoni (talk) 02:37, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps, I'm starting to expand the shortest of stubs. Revolution1221 (talk · email · contributions) 23:53, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thomas Dalton and Lucy Lew

[edit]

Hi! I saw your comment about the redirect page for "Thomas Dalton and Lucy Lew" not meeting the db-R2 reason. Since it's kind of silly to have a redirect able with nothing that links to it - and a very unlikely search term, what would be the appropriate action to remove this page?

Thanks!--CaroleHenson (talk) 02:44, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it qualifies for any CSDs. I advise nominating it for deletion at Redirects for Deletion. Revolution1221 (talk · email · contributions) 02:46, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Perfect! Thanks!--CaroleHenson (talk) 02:51, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Gene Yoon I blanked for copy paste. GENE YOON (move request pending) has 1 line of lead and 2 refs now, he's notable. Is the rest copy vio? In ictu oculi (talk) 03:08, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Didn't you say it had to be blanked to avoid copyvio? Revolution1221 (talk · email · contributions) 03:09, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
My fault, not using correct terminology. I meant copyright, my understanding is that copy paste duplication of an article creates copyright problems. I've checked the original GENE YOON article itself does not appear to be copy vio. In ictu oculi (talk) 03:24, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, that's the problem. Revolution1221 (talk · email · contributions) 23:53, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation

[edit]

Thanks for the help disambiguating the coal towns - a region all too often overlooked entirely.- Gilliam (talk) 12:30, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No problem! I usually patrol short pages (I know I am mainly a NPP, but I've taken a little break). Revolution1221 (talk · email · contributions) 23:53, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Re hantavirus

[edit]

Hanta virus is a genus of viruses. Azagny virus is a species of virus. Here is the description: http://www.virologyj.com/content/8/1/373 The redirect suggests that Azagny virus is the same as the genus which is incorrect. A viral species should have its own page as should a viral genus. DrMicro

Ah. I've created stubs for all the blanked redirect viruses. Take a stab at expanding them if you'd like. Revolution1221 (talk · email · contributions) 22:56, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
