One account only please[edit]

I note that a user named Rosemarie Vind (talk · contribs) created the Mikkel Hess article, but then you, editing under this account, took up the task. I presume that you are the same person. Please note that Wikipedia requires users to edit under a single user name, except under some very special circumstances. Moving forward, you should choose one of the two accounts to edit under and only use the one account, and abandon the other account. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 11:12, 14 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Help me[edit]

Hi guys. Thank you very much for commenting. Please be advised, that I, as most of you assumed, are completely new here on Wiki, and as such are having some difficulties. Firstly, I can't figure out how to post comments on discussion board of the "articles for deletion page"? Secondly, as a few of you guessed, I forgot my password to the first account RosemarieVind, and hence had to create a new one in order to make edits. Finally, I would very much like it, if you took the time to go through the article and the references, and let me know specifically what factors concerning its wording or references, that violates the GNG. I can inform you that none of references are produced by Mikkel Hess himself or associates of him, and that besides from the Nordic Spotlight and dicogs references, all are from notable magazines or newspapers. Thanks in advance! (RoseVind13 (talk) 08:58, 15 August 2014 (UTC))[reply]

Hi, RoseVind13 – So the other user name won't be a concern, it has been redirected to this user name. That way, you can use either name and will come to this page. Welcome to Wikipedia, and I think you will find that to edit pages like the AfD page, it is usually pretty easy to learn by example. First study the page, then click on edit and study the "code" on the edit screen. Then type code onto that screen in a similar manner as others have typed. Find the "Show preview" button and click it to see how your typing came out. Scroll to the bottom of that page to either alter or save your edit. I shall leave your article to those with more understanding of those things. Joys! – Paine Ellsworth CLIMAX! 13:12, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The deletion discussion is here; you can edit it via the "edit" tab at the top of the page, right next to "read". The discussion is not a vote, but it's customary for editors to once mark their opinion with a boldened shorthand: *'''Keep''' or *'''Delete''' are the most common opinions. You can comment more than once, but additional comments should not get such a "keep" or "delete" prefix - compare DuncanHill's comment, for example. Also, you shouldn't just present an opinion but argue based on policies and guidelines. The general notability guideline (GNG) says a topic is notable if it has been the subject of significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. The general tenor seems to be that the problem is the "significant coverage" part: For example, the Hollywood Reporter clearly is a reliable, independent source, but all it says about Hess is a single sentence that provides next to no information about Hess himself. The Danish Wikipedia, by the way, is not considered a reliable source (neither is the English one) because it's user-submitted content without any editorial oversight. This is not an issue of wording, but of the amount of coverage Hess has received. I haven't taken the time to double-check the Danish references myself, but Nyttend seems to have done so and discusses the problems with the sources in more detail at the deletion discussion. Dear Paine and Huon, Thank you so much for your replies. They are greatly appreciated and have made my way around wikipedia easier. (RoseVind13 (talk) 10:18, 19 August 2014 (UTC))[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mikkel Hess, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
