Hi - just a personal follow-up to the above automated note. The article had no content whatsoever, and just a link to an Excel spreadsheet, which had no obvious link to the article title, as a source - something like that can't be allowed to exist in article space. Personally, when I'm working on an article, I keep it in draft space until it's ready to publish - it's your call on whether you go down that route, but please be aware that anything in article space is subject to review, and articles with no content will always be speedily deleted. I hope that makes sense - drop me a note on my talk page if you want to discuss this. Cheers GirthSummit (blether) 18:59, 27 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A problem you're going to keep having with the creation of an article like G. K. Vishnu, is that you have not done anything to demonstrate the person's notability. Just because someone has a job doesn't mean that they are notable. There is nothing inherently special about a cinematographer. To demonstrate the subject's notability, you need to be familiar with our General Notability Guideline. Also, it's not a good idea to write an article in live space. Starting your article at Draft:G. K. Vishnu would be a much better way for you to work toward demonstrating notability. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:02, 5 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
This plea is absurd, because you have done nothing to argue for why the page should be kept. I've seen you do this several times, including at Talk:Thalapathy 64. If you don't care enough about the articles you create to make a cogent argument, that's your problem, but nobody's going to be fooled by these half-assed comments, and your competency to edit at Wikipedia is now a major issue. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for persistently adding unsourced or poorly sourced content. Here you add the name "Prem", which is not supported by the source you added, and also you erroneously link to some other page. And here you add a malformed reference for two additions, Soundarya Bala Nandakumar and Nagendra Prasad. Since the URL you submitted doesn't work, your changes are not considered constructive. I recommend you quickly familiarise yourself on how to paste URLs and submit proper references to Wikipedia. See Referencing for Beginners if you have trouble, but you also need to be sure you understand how to properly copy an entire URL. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
