Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Sardesaai Hema. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Hema Sardesai‎, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies.

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Please carefully read the conflict of interest page, it has some important advice and guidance for you. You've declared that you are the subject of the page, and really need to follow the advice on the COI page. I've reverted the last series of edits as they were unsourced and excessively promotional in nature. This is an encyclopedia, it's not a trade magazine/website or your personal website. Please respect that. To be very blunt, you should not edit your article. You should comment on the article talk page, but that's about it. Ravensfire (talk) 22:57, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion[edit]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident with which you may be involved. The thread is Hema Sardesai. Thank you. This is a courtesy notification that I opened a discussion about your COI editing to bring in some others to help and offer guidance. It's a little belated, but you went from minimal activity to lots of self-promotion. The links above should help you identify why your edits have been reverted and unless you start following Wikipedia policies, will continue to be reverted. In particular, the pages on the need for verification and reliable sources are critical for you to read. Ravensfire (talk) 05:05, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Pay attention to this![edit]

You NEED to read the policies listed above as you aren't following them and you will end up blocked if you continue editing as you are. In particular, read the WP:COI page and the Reliable Source page. Wikipedia is not the right place to try and promote yourself and editors here take unkindly to blatant attempts and self-promotion like you are doing. Stop. Ravensfire (talk) 01:05, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously, PLEASE READ AND DISCUSS[edit]

You REALLY need to read the information that's been left for here about concerns about your edits. Wikipedia is a collaborative editing experience, and part of that requires communication. That's not been happening from your end. The next step is probably to put this in front of admins and ask them to deal with this situation. That can involved preventing you from further editing and protecting the article from new and IP editors making changes. Ravensfire (talk) 03:14, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

April 2020[edit]

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because the username, Sardesaai Hema, matches the name of a well-known, living person, Hema Sardesai.

If you are the person represented by this username, please note that the practice of blocking such usernames is to protect you from being impersonated, not to discourage you from editing Wikipedia. You may choose to edit under a new username (see information below), but keep in mind that you are welcome to continue to edit under this username. If you choose to do so, we ask the following:

  1. Please be willing and able to prove your identity to Wikipedia.
  2. Please send an email to info-en@wikimedia.org. Be aware that the volunteer response team that handles email is indeed operated entirely by volunteers, and the reply may not be immediate.

If you are not the person represented by this username, you are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this notice, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. TheSandDoctor Talk 06:16, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
