What did you do
[edit]What did you do to the AFC U22 Championship? Druryfire (talk) 11:59, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
- I checked this page a couple of hours ago, but it was already moved to this page which didn't have any content in it. So I managed to fill the main section as you can currently see, but I couldn't fill the qualification page as the content was nowhere to find. Schnapper (talk) 12:20, 24 June 2012 (UTC)

2012 CECAFA Cup
[edit]Hi. I just wanted to inform you that the way you're formatting the 2012 CECAFA Cup group stage tables in unproductive. Putting borders on the tables would be more confusing to understand and more complicated to explain. Many other group tables on Wikipedia are color-coded in the background instead of having borders, e.g. 2012–13 UEFA Champions League, 2012 CAF Champions League, 2012–13 CONCACAF Champions League, 2012 Copa Libertadores, 2012 AFC Champions League, UEFA Euro 2012, 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, the list could go on forever. Davykamanzi → talk · contribs 16:30, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
- For your information, color-coded background are only reserved for teams that have already qualified or been eliminated, while the borders are used everywhere. This is the standard Wikipedia uses for all the pages you mentioned (and the list can go forever). And your way is really more confusing. For example, in Group B, neither team is qualified or eliminated, yet Somalia (0 pt) is in red and Burundi (6 pts) in green: Some people will easily think that this is the case. So I'll keep using the standards for the CECAFA Cup rankings. --Schnapper (talk) 16:46, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
- Ah, I see. Sorry for disturbing you. Davykamanzi → talk · contribs 17:15, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
- You're welcome. I was wrong however, Burundi is actually already qualified as one of the best 2 runners-up at least. --Schnapper (talk) 17:18, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
- By the way, Somalia's definitely eliminated from the tournament. They have no points and a goal difference of -5. Davykamanzi → talk · contribs 18:56, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
- Nope, they aren't. If they and Burundi win, Somalia will be equal on points with Tanzania and Sudan. In this case, the direct matches will count. If Burundi defeat Sudan and Somalia win by one goal, they will be 3rd, 2nd if they win by more goals.--Schnapper (talk) 19:13, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, South Sudan aren't out either; if they beat Uganda by more than three goals and Ethiopia lose to Kenya (or Kenya lose by more than two goals), they can climb to third place. Davykamanzi → talk · contribs 07:36, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
- False. South Sudan lost to both Kenya and Ethiopia. Therefore they can't reach 3rd place because of head-to-head results.--Schnapper (talk) 08:15, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
- Look. South Sudan can only go ouy if Ethiopia and Kenya draw. If Ethiopia or Kenya lose and South Sudan beat Uganda by a bigger goal margin than the Kenya-Ethiopia game, they'll get to third place, e.g. Ethiopia have a goal difference of 0 with 3 points. If they lose 2-0 to Kenya and South Sudan beat Uganda 3-0, Ethiopia will go down to -2 and South Sudan up to 3 points with a GD of 0. Davykamanzi → talk · contribs 12:56, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
- Global goal difference does not prevail, head-to-head results do. See the tie-breaking rules. --Schnapper (talk) 13:04, 30 November 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Your recent editing history at 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification – CAF Second Round shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Stigni (talk) 15:07, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
- For your information, I'm not undoing any another editor's work. I'm not the one to blame here. Schnapper (talk) 15:13, 6 June 2013 (UTC)

2013–14 UEFA Europa League
[edit]Hi. I saw you incorrectly removed eliminated color for Dinamo Zagreb on 2013–14 UEFA Europa League. You can for example see that they are eliminated here. Update parameter in tables
[edit]Hi, may I ask why you totally ignored the comment in this edit? Timestamp must be updated, this time it said no match had been played after your edit. I will assume good faith at this time, but it has happened before and I dont want it to happen again or it might even be considered disruptive if it happens on a regular basis. QED237 (talk) 22:31, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
- I'm human and therefore may forget to update the timestamp since this is a new thing. And when somebody forgets it, since this can only be an oversight, can you please just update the timestamp instead of undoing the edit (less time-wasting and less frustrating)? Schnapper (talk) 08:24, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
- Seems like you need a second reminder after forgetting it at Template:2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – AFC Second Round Group D. As soon as you update any kind of stats, timestamp should be updated. Qed237 (talk) 12:39, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
