Please help me with...I want to create a biography page for myself, Scott Teal, but I can't seem to change the user name for the page from Crowbarpress to my name. I have everything else completed.

Please see WP:AUTOBIOG. Wikipedia is not a place to write about yourself and you should generally refrain from doing so. Please also go to WP:CHUS and choose a new username as your current one violates policy. Praxidicae (talk) 20:25, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

In particular, the username is the name of a company and may be seen to represent an organization, not a person. A username such as "Scott at Crowbar Press" would be acceptable. Writing a Wikipedia article is no easy task, and writing about oneself is strongly discouraged due to the inherent conflict of interest. You would need to provide reliable third-party sources such as newspapers or reputable magazines that discuss you in some detail, and you'd need to summarize neutrally what those sources have to say about you. A Google News search found some passing mentions, but nothing that looked likely to help establish notability (as Wikipedia measures it). If sources that cover you in some detail exist, I'd strongly advise you not to write an article yourself but to request that an uninvolved volunteer editor write it; the place to do so is WP:Requested articles. Find the relevant sub-page, add your name in alphabetical order, add the sources so that the volunteers dealing with such requests have something to go by.
