You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Balloons tower defence requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.), but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 08:01, 22 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Sea Quest book has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unremarkable book

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Information icon Hello, I'm Jimfbleak. I noticed that you recently removed a nomination for deletion without improving the content or explaining why. It's pointless anyway, if i hadn't noticed, a bot would have automatically replaced the notice. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:00, 22 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, SeaQ. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Sea Quest (book), you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 15:43, 22 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

New to Wikipedia?

[edit]

Hi! I have a feeling that you're probably a younger reader (about 6-10 years old?) that decided to come onto Wikipedia to add information on what is obviously a favorite series of yours. The big problem here is that all books, whether they're a series or a single book, have to pass WP:NBOOK, a guideline for judging notability per Wikipedia's standards. Now before you get upset, please understand that this doesn't judge how good a series is. There are multiple, multiple books out there that I personally love with a passion, but cannot add to Wikipedia because they do not pass notability guidelines. Unfortunately the deck is stacked against the Sea Quest series since children's chapter books don't get a lot of attention unless they're something that really catches the public's eye, such as the Magic Treehouse series. That this is a spin-off of the Beast Quest series makes it even harder, since spinoffs rarely get attention as far as children's books go.

Now as far as establishing notability goes, you need to know that it is not the same thing as proving that something exists or is correct. Nobody is doubting that the books exist or that the information you put down is correct. What we need are things to show that it has gotten attention from the media, such as news articles talking about the books, television news programs about the books, or book reviews that have been written by people/sources that Wikipedia considers to be reliable. If the Pittsburgh Gazette were to write a review about the series, that's considered to be what we call a "reliable source". However, a review posted to Amazon or Goodreads is not because those can be written by anyone and aren't edited or overseen by a set staff. If you have any questions over what is or isn't usable, please feel free to ask me on my page.

This looks like it is going to be redirected, but don't worry too much. It might end up that in the future the series will get enough coverage to merit its own entry. Then again, it might not. We can't predict that it will and we can't say that because the main series is notable that this series is automatically notable. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:24, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Cbert

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Cbert requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Errors

[edit]

I have reverted your alterations at List of Beast Quest novels because they were wrong. Example: you altered the publication date of Pirate's Curse from 2012 to 2013 but the book was first published in May 2012. Publication dates may vary by country and there may be subsequent editions published at later dates, but the list uses first publication date only. Keri (talk) 10:13, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
