Are we gonna add contextual information to all the selected image pages, or just this one? Dihydrogen Monoxide (H2O) 07:41, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Eek, dunno how I missed that. Probably better if we remove it from selected articles - keep the GA (and up) standard going there...especially since that image was requested in selected images at the FPOC. I'm on MSN, btw. Dihydrogen Monoxide (H2O) 05:51, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
One Rincon Hill peer review (2nd time)
Thanks for reviewing the One Rincon Hill article about two and a half months ago. Since then, I have cleanup and done a lot of referencing work on the article. I have also relisted One Rincon Hill at the peer review department. Perhaps you could review the article again? Thanks. Cheers. Hydrogen Iodide (HI!) 01:37, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

About the ref section, you might want to talk to NE2 about it, since I neither endorse addition or removal of that section. —O (说 • 喝) 01:14, 02 October 2007 (GMT)

List of Powderfinger awards - It's got such a wubbable star and everything. :) And thanks for the amazingly original barnstar - I doubt I'll ever see something like that again. Did you give lincalinca one? — Dihydrogen Monoxide (H2O) 07:23, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Think we're ready?
I think we are. For Powderfinger discography to go to WP:FLC. I know there are minor issues remaining, but for the most part, these can be resolved over the term of the article being up for flc. If you give the word, I'll nom us (or, you can if you want). Maybe ask diggy. --lincalinca 02:05, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you not submit to the glorious wonders of Sinebot? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.143.236.33 (talk) 08:27, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Because I choose not to, is that such a problem? I remember to sign all of my comments, and if I forget to sign one, SineBot will beat me to signing it. He'll probably beat me to signing your comment with {{unsigned}} right now. ~ Sebi [talk] 08:30, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

- Yeah, that's what interested me in him. I saw him post on your (tito's) page and skimmed at him contributions and they were all over the shop. No focal area at all, from what i could see. Almost like he's on drugs while editing. Not that we can discriminate, after all there's no rule about that. --lincalinca 23:25, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks
Hi Spebi, and thanks for the barnstar.....Hopefully I will be getting some more Australian cricketers off to GA and FA status....Don Tallon, Alan Davidson, Allan Border, Mark Waugh, Bill Lawry, Bob Simpson and Darren Lehmann the info is there but needs a cleanup....and those 8 cricketer GAs that need to be FAed ....I wish I could write proper English though..... Anyway, since you are listed down as being in the ACT I wonder if you could find sources for Canberra and History of the Australian Capital Territory. I did a survey of all the Aussie FAs yesterday and these two had a very low references per prose size ratio (underreferenced). Regards, Blnguyen (bananabucket) 02:43, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Sure, I'll start on those two in a moment. The New South Wales articles aren't too good either... New South Wales has some of the best colleges and universities (I think so, anyway) and a Education in New South Wales article doesn't even exist! :| ~ Sebi [talk] 02:50, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Yeah, there are a few not so good sport ones there as well... but why do we need a peer review out of interest? Blnguyen (bananabucket) 03:15, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the vote of confidence.
Hi S[p]ebi,
Thank you very much for your vote of confidence in support of my RfA. It closed a few hours ago, and based on the outcome, I now see a few extra tabs at the top of the page :)
In any event, I would like to express my appreciation for your participation, and would do my best to maintain your trust while serving the community. Given that I never interacted with you prior to the RfA, I am grateful for your effort to assume good faith on my behalf.
If you need help with a desired administrative action, please feel free to contact me and I will do my best to assist. Cheers, --Aarktica 00:26, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Good work with the portal :)
I had a look tonight, looks pretty good! I've added it to the WikiProject Council listing for NSW. Orderinchaos 13:03, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Ah, this is just the wikiproject directory. It links it officially with the WP:NSW project, but I don't think a huge number of people go there. It can be listed on the portals directory when it's more complete. I would offer to help, but until the end of Dec I'm going to be quite busy - I will be in a few random parts of NSW from 22 Nov to 2 Dec though so will be probably taking quite a few photos that may be of use. Proposal notices
First of all, the count was about 40 (about 80 edits because of an omitted piece of information). Secondly, FYI, I had posted at 5 logical locations for this topic:
- Featured content talk page
- Main page talk page
- Featured list candidates talk page
- Featured lists talk page
- Village pump (proposals)
After about 5 or 6 hours with no responses I decided to just go down the featured list log and notify recent (Sept and Oct) nominators of featured list candidates and closers of featured list discussions because they would be interested in the topic. WRT, WP:CANVASS this clearly passes 3 of th 4 criteria and likely passes the 4th. I.e, it is transparent, neutral and non-partisan. The only question is whether it is excessive cross-posting. In this issue the question is who are involved editors. I could have sent messages to all persons who have participated in FLC discussions. However, the people who are most involved in FL content are those who nominate the articles and those who close the debates. I am considering doing June, July and August this afternoon with this in mind. I am not sure what the community portal is and don't believe proposals are properly listed at goings-on.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 15:05, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I wasn't accusing you of canvassing, but rather, just noting that posting the same message to a lot of users' talk pages isn't the best way to get people in the know about your proposal. Just a post on those pages you listed above and the community portal and I'm sure that would have been enough to get the word around enough. ~ Sebi [talk] 21:00, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

how to warn/ edit-war
Hallo, you've removed my notification [1] with edit comment removing 172.163, received insufficient warnings, list not empty. For future occasions, I would like to learn why my warning on User_talk:172.163.27.244 was insufficient.
Another point is that the same person with similar 172. IPs seems to edit-war on Philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche, see [2]. Perhaps it would be usefull to semi-protect the article.
Greetings, --Schwalker 11:13, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Okay, you reported 172.163.27.244 (talk · contribs) on the page (diff) for "insulting me on their talk-page after a warning". I'm not sure which IP you are talking about here, but looking through this IP's contributions, I see no edits to any talk pages. Initially, when I removed your report, I had not checked that user's contributions, and just looked at the talk page and saw no warnings for the supposed insults. My apologies if this incident has caused you any incovenience. On a side note, articles that are currently being edit-warred over are not semi-protected, but rather are full protected (see Wikipedia:Protection policy) ~ Sebi [talk] 11:28, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Elaborating on this; when I used the term "received no warnings" in my edit summary, I was not referring to the IP address' supposed homophobic comments, but rather, for the insults you said that a similar IP had placed on your talk page. ~ Sebi [talk] 11:30, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks for your answers.
- Well, the warning was not on my talk-page but on the talk page of User_talk:172.163.27.244. I see only now that a different but similar IP 172.163.22.73 had made the Stalinist(...) remark on User_talk:172.163.27.244, and subsequently removed the automatic signature: [3]. The IP 172.163.22.73 also was edit-warring on Philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche with a similar homophobic remark. Now still another IP is reverting there. It is not my decission to make, but I guess that per semi-protection this person could be hindered from continuing to edit there. --Schwalker 11:53, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Okay, I think I understand now, but a single attack on a talk page does not warrant a block. If protection is necessary in content disputes no matter who is involved, full protection will be used, and not semi-protection. ~ Sebi [talk] 12:04, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
