Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you have been adding your signature to some of your edits to articles, such as the edit you made to [[Ek Deewaana Tha]]. This is a common mistake to make and has probably already been corrected. Please do not sign your edits to article content, as the article's edit history serves the function of attributing contributions, so you only need to use your signature to make discussions more readable, such as on article talk pages or project pages such as the Village Pump. If you would like further information about distinguishing types of pages, please see What is an article? Again, thank you for contributing, and enjoy your Wikipedia experience! Thank you. A confusion

[edit]

Can I add photos to the articles? If yes, please tell me how as some articles don't have pictures so I'm also not able to get a full idea and it'll be easy for the other readers to download the pictures from our articles only.. I'll be glad if you'll tell me how to add pictures..!

Hello, Shruvita Sharma. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Nehaa Mehta, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Nehaa Mehta to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks,

Don't Know How To..

[edit]

I don't know how to add references.. Shruvita Sharma (talk) 07:43, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Shruvita Sharma: Read WP:REFSTART to know how to cite references. Also, in future, if you want to ask for help, ask for help on your talk page by clicking on this link. Without this, no one will be able to know about your messages posted on your talk page. Alternatively, you can ask for assistance at the Help Desk or ask me on my talk page. As told by User:Kudpung, you can ask assistance from him on his talk page regarding your submissions. I would like to suggest you to complete Wikipedia:The Wikipedia Adventure before you make any edits. It will help you understand how things are done here. Feel free to reach me. Your contributed article, Nehaa Mehta

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Nehaa Mehta. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Neha Mehta. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Neha Mehta. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Vivek Ray (talk) 16:59, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Inserting Photos

[edit]

Please help me with...

I'm not able to understand the procedure of adding photos to articles by reading the helping article. If I can be helped, please tell the step by step instructions for inserting photos to articles (if possible). Shruvita Sharma —Preceding undated comment added 16:01, 27 May 2018 (UTC)

Helped Hi Shruvita. Images have to be uploaded. Go to Wikipedia:Uploading images, and give it a good read, especially notice that you have to establish the copyright status. When you have uploaded an image, see Help:Pictures for how to use it in an article. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to ask me on my talk page, although you are guaranteed quicker feedback at the Wikipedia:Teahouse. Happy editing, Sam Sailor 16:31, 27 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Rajendra Gangani's performance with Sarita Srivastav at Rashtriya Kathak Sansthan.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:05, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A question

[edit]

Hi, you have re-created the article of Neha Mehtaa though it seems to be already present as Neha Mehta. Are they two different person? If yes, can you please provide some references? Thanks Vivek Ray (talk) 17:36, 17 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Both are two different people and I've also provided a reference, you may check.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Neha Mehtaa requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Notice

The file File:User Shruti Sharma 42.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

orphaned image, no encyclopedic use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
