@Ad Orientem: Sorry, but I just want to confirm with you that it's okay that I moved the block notice and appeal messages from my main talk page to my archive. If not, I'll put them back on the main page. Thanks. Sierpnia 16:15, 3 April 2018 (UTC)

If I update my signature here on Wikipedia, will it show up on all Wikimedia projects, or do I set a separate signature for each project?
- It's a separate signature for each project. Different language editions of Wikipedia (and every other project) are considered separate projects. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 06:43, 3 April 2018 (UTC)
Some Questions About Archiving Talk Pages
This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
I was wanting to make an archive of the previous messages I mistakenly deleted off my talk page yesterday, and had a couple of questions about it.
1. How do I start the archive page?
2. Is it possible to recover the messages I already erased so I can add them to the archive page?
3. Is it okay if I move the block notice and associated appeal messages to the archive page so they're not staring me in the face whenever I visit my talk page?
Thank you for any help! Sierpnia 13:27, 3 April 2018 (UTC)
- I suggest reading through WP:ARCHIVE, but to answer your questions (in order):
- Create User talk:Sierpnia/Archive 1. I suggest putting {{tan}} at the top.
- Sure, just check out the history of this page and you'll see the removals. When you look at (for example) this diff, you can edit the "older" version of the page, which will allow you to copy/paste it to your /Archive 1.
- You are unblocked now, so you're welcome to add or remove whatever you want to your talk page.
- If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 14:23, 3 April 2018 (UTC)
This needs to be restored...
Per my message here you need to keep these notices visible on your talk page for six months. This was a condition of your being unblocked. This is not an attempt to put some kind of scarlet letter on you, but you were recently blocked for seriously disruptive behavior. After six months you may archive them. Thank you. -Ad Orientem (talk) 20:25, 3 April 2018 (UTC)
I was told to restore this to my main talk page.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Wikipedia:Teahouse, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 16:24, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
- Sorry. I didn't realize fixing grammar errors in discussions was bad. I'll stay away from that. Sierpnia 16:27, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
This is not a real warning
Hello, I'm Sierpnia. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Sierpnia/TWA have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help Desk. This is a test ofthe Twinkle system Sierpnia 01:37, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
^ That warning was supposed to go in my sandbox, not on my talk page! It was me testing the Twinkle system I just installed. Sierpnia 01:40, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
Note About My Presence Here
Just putting this note here so people will hopefully understand that I am not just here to vandalize.
Here are some projects I plan to get involved in.
I would like to help out with this project because I love board games and know quite a bit about them that I could add to Wikidata.
I plan to join the Counter-Vandalism Unit on Wikipedia when I have enough edits on Wikipedia, so I can help remove vandalism instead of adding to it.
Also, I hereby place the following conditions on myself for all the projects in this network.
- if there is even one more incident of vandalism from me on any project, I am gone for good. Perhaps knowing that this is my last chance will keep me from acting on any temptations I may have to be disruptive.
- So I am not tempted to evade any blocks on my account, I will only use this account, Sierpnia.
That is all. I hope it's okay that I'm putting this here, and I also hope to become a positive contributor here.
Sierpnia 02:04, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you. I think you got off on the wrong foot here but I am cautiously optimistic that you will be a net positive to the project. We have a few reformed vandals around. I think one is even an admin. -Ad Orientem (talk) 02:10, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
- That is good to hear. I hope to join that crowd and show that I can be trusted here. Sierpnia 02:15, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
