Environmental Protection Userbox
Hi Snowolf,
Thanks for using the userbox that I created (the one about supporting environmental protection). I'm glad that there're people in the world who care about the environment just as much as I do. Please encourage your friends to put up this userbox if they have accounts in Wikipedia. Currently I am doing double major (Biology and Environment Science) at University of Toronto. If you have any questions about environmental protection, please don't hesitate to contact me by wiki.

Welcome to the Wiki!
Hello, and Welcome to the Wikipedia, Snowolf! Thanks for the contributions over on the David Bergamini article. Here are a few perfunctory tips to hasten your acculturation into the Wikipedia experience:
- Take a look at the New contributors' help page, the Wikipedia Tutorial and the Manual of Style, and If you still need any help, you can always post your question at the Help Desk.
- When you have time, please peruse The five pillars of Wikipedia and Assume good faith, but please keep in mind the unique style you brought to the Wiki!
- Always be mindful of striving for NPOV, be respectful of others' POV, and remember your perspective on the meaning of neutrality is invaluable!
- Explore, be bold in editing, and, above all else, have fun!
And some odds and ends: Cite your sources, Civility, Conflict resolution, How to edit a page, How to write a great article, Pages needing attention, Peer review, Policy Library, Verifiability, Village pump, and Wikiquette; also, you can sign your name on any page by typing four tildes: ~~~~. Best of luck, Snowolf, and most importantly, have fun! Ombudsman 20:14, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
PUATraining deletion
Could you please explain to me as to why my article on PUATraining was deleted? I did not portray the company in an advertising vein by adding 'reviews' as other seduction schools have done so on their own pages.
—Preceding unsigned comment added by SunnyBSingh (talk • contribs)
I answered you on your talk page. If there are other seduction school who had added such things, please let me know and I'll tag them as well as I did to PUATraining. As clearly written in my userpage, I currently patrol new pages, so I tagged yours because it was created while I was monitoring new pages. One more thing... please sign your comments, by using 4 ~. Best Regards by Snowolf (talk) on 18:31, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 18:50, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
Un-necessary comment
Sorry for the comment on Serial Killer thrillers. I am logged in at my college and a friend has edited that page while i was away from my work station. Once again, sorry!

Your revert of my edits at Swinging
Could you explain why you reverted my edits? If you'd looked at the talk page, you'd see that there has been some debate about the section that I changed, not to mention an incomplete reference that I tidied up. My edit was intended to improve the article per the discussion on male bisexuality in the swinging scene, which was biased and unsourced. If nothing else, I'd appreciate you reverting to my last edit which tidied the reference to the Independent article.Inkwell 17:54, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
It seem to be a mistake. Very sorry. By the way I already reverted to your version by Snowolf (talk) on 17:57, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the anti-vandal patrols
Just wanted to say thanks for the prompt reversal of vandalism on Maritime archaeology. Often several days elapse between my visits to Wikipedia, but when I do I invariably find that any pages on my watchlist that have been vandalised have immediately been reverted by vigilant people like yourself. You people do a great job of protecting Wikipedia and are really appreciated. Cheers. Viv Hamilton 18:10, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi Snowolf, happy 2007 to you. I was wondering why you reinstated something inaccurate and removed something correct? re. Jerome, 2nd Count de Salis? cf: On 4 April 1809 George III, by Royal License, granted and gave Salis's descendants, of both sexes, those who were Subjects of Our Realm, the right to fully avail themselves of the title of Count of the Holy Roman Empire. The right to use the name of Fane before that of de Salis was granted, by Royal License and Authority, on 11 December 1835. What's wrong with that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rodolph (talk • contribs)
- Hi Rodolph, please let me explain, but first I must remind you that to talk to one user, you have to use the talk page, this and that you have to sign your comments.
- It's really simple to explain, as clearly stated in my user page, I'm a recent changes patroller, which means that I check recent changes for spam. I do it by using an automatized filter, and sometimes, I make mistakes while patrolling, 'cause quantity some times doesn't means quality ;-).

Snowolf could you plaese check the image on the Springfield Park Elementary Schoolpage's image to see that it is correctly copyright tagged —Preceding unsigned comment added by Inspiron600m (talk • contribs)
- I can't help you, because I don't know wikipedia's rules for images. Ask here and you will probably find the help that you are searching ;-)
- By the way, this image it is under copyright, which means that you can't public it on wikipedia. Anyway, if you want, you can write to the copyright holed (the Springfiled Park Elementary School) and provide wikipedia administrator with a screenshot of the email, a scan of the paper authorization and so on that clearly states that the copyright owner authorizes the use under the GFDL. I'm not practical with this procedure, but I think that here you can find more details. By the way, I'm sorry but I must tag the image as copyright pending.
- Anyway, for both images, I still know nothing about fair use. Maybe fair use allows you to use them, but I really don't know!
- I have also to ask you to sign your comments by adding 4 ~ after your comment ;-) by Snowolf (talk) on 20:44, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
I am glad you agree with me about the Bravenet page.

AFD
Hi. I would have to say that I don't like your little thumbs up/down images. They call excessive attention to your comments, which are just as but no more important than other editors', and they distract attention from the substance of your opinion and reduce it to a "vote", which AFD is not supposed to be. I would prefer for these reasons that you didn't use this approach in AFD discussions. Otherwise I have no quarrel with the opinions expressed (at least, not in aggregate). --Dhartung | Talk 07:32, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, stop using those things. They are annoying. Recury 15:48, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- Uhm... hi Dhartung and hi Recury.
- I didn't mean to call special attention on my comments or to reduce AfD to a "vote".
- The image surely doesn't try to reduce AfD to a "vote", but just shows immediately user's opinion. About the attention: everyone can use the templates and surely it isn't more visible that colorful signature, but it's useful also. Anyway, it's not my idea, small images of this kind are used by some users on featured picture discussions and also on Commons.

Article inclusion
Referring to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Printed_circuit_board Search page for: WinQcad
I don't understand why you ask my article to be deleted all the time. It is on WinQcad, EDA software used by about 15,000 companies including many big corporations and universities. It is reviewed at www.download.com (search pcb).
The article is nothing more than a list of features, like all other articles there. There is not a single sentence that can be regarded as "blatant advertising". No superlatives, just a list of featrues describing the program that can be downloaded for evaluation.

VandalFighting
If you would like I could give you some custom javascript files that allow you to warn vandals (which you should do after you revert) more easily. The files add a tab to diffs that, when clicked, takes you to the vandals talk page. Then you can use a drop-down menu to automatically insert warnings. You should give warnings from {{test}} to {{test4}} in order (1, 2, 3, 4), then report the vandal to WP:AIV. It is not quite as efficient as VandalProof, but certainly a good feature. I frequently use them myself. Welcome to Wikipedia, and happy editing! Prodego talk 19:52, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

symbols
May I urge you reconsider your use of symbols in the AfD pages. It seems to me that it lends a visually dominant aspect to your comments, and I'm sure you didn't intend to have that effect. And consider what the discussions would look like if others did similarly. Nothing personal. DGG 04:52, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Baby names meanings - CSD
I've reviewed your request for speedy delete. I don't think it's really "patent nonsense". Just right now, minimal content and editorship. Choosing a baby name is significant (or auspicious) in several cultures and there is often tradition around it, and a future article would probably work if developed. I can see why you nominated it though. I'd suggest the following as possibilities:
- Page move it with a redirect: the title for "name" articles on Wikipedia seems to be "Given names" more than "Baby names".
- Add an introduction summarizing the point above, to give the article some context.
- if you still have concerns, WP:AFD it, since it's not immediately obvious that it's never capable of being a good article.
- But try first, to remedy it a bit: tag it as "stub", add some "see also" pages (Given name, Most popular given names etc), write a brief 3 line intro, add categories, etc.
Hope this helps. FT2 (Talk | email) 11:29, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
