drop down menu

how is it that i can make one of these drop down menus for myself?--Sweetcorn (talk) 16:15, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

What do you want to have in the menu? Basically, you can create one by creating a page named Template:States of blah, where States of blah is the name of the template. If you look at the contents of Template:States of Sudan, you can get an idea of how it was created. Let me know if you want more help. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 16:18, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

Archiving

[edit]

I added automatic bot archiving of your talk page. A bot will come and move any threads older than 90 days to your archive. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 22:28, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It should come around about once per day. The archived threads are automatically moved to User talk:Sweetcorn/Archive 1. You can also access them through the link in the archive banner. It won't archive threads that aren't older than 90 days, and it will always leave at least 5 threads open. You can change the parameters in the hidden template at the top of this page. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 20:08, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Look for the 'User:MiszaBot/config' section. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 20:45, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I see you added an infobox. Thank you -- your efforts are appreciated. One thing I noticed is that the population_total parameter got set to "20.000" -- I think you meant "20,000". I've made the correction. Cheers,--Stepheng3 (talk) 03:01, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

i have putted an "infobox former country" in the article and inputted the region and country data in it but it doesn't show on the article can you fix it for me ?--Sweetcorn (talk) 17:24, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Those fields are only used to generate categories, and do not appear in the actual infobox. Let me know if you have more questions. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 17:36, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
ya and so how is it i can generate those categories so it shows them in the article ? could you do it for me?--Sweetcorn (talk) 17:39, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The categories are there, in particular, Category:Former countries in Africa, was added by the infobox. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 17:52, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
i get it so if you input data in the fields "region" and "country" in the infobox it doesn't show in the article it just automatically adds the article to those categories am i right or am i not ?--Sweetcorn (talk) 18:12, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's right. If you view the source for {{Infobox former country}}, you can see the "switch" statements, with the various cases for the categories. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 18:17, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Roman borders in north Africa

[edit]

Hi. Thanks for your message. I read that you ask a lot of questions about the borders of Mauretania Tingitana and Mauretania Caesariensis. But to answer these questions I think it is needed a full article....(;-D).....Anyway, about the connection road between Volubilis and Numerus Syrorum I invite you to read Michael Speidel ( http://www.persee.fr/web/revues/home/prescript/article/antaf_0066-4871_1977_num_11_1_993 ). It can give you some information and an idea of the difficulties to find information about these borders. Personally I think that under Septimius Severus (and successors) was done a tentative to expand the "Nova Praetentura" (a roman military via) from Oujda toward Volubilis, but the crisis of the third century blocked it. Full Roman control -between Melilla/Rusaddir and Siga- was only on the coast from Trajan to the Vandal invasion, probably. Ciao.--Cresthaven (talk) 20:34, 21 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
