SuggestBot picks the articles you might be interested in based on the articles you've edited and using a number of different techniques: following links from them to other articles, matching articles based on their content, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedia users. It tries to recommend only articles that others have marked as needing work, such as stub articles that need to be made longer, clean-up articles that need writing help, and so on. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.

If you choose to participate we encourage you to leave feedback on these suggestions, which you can most easily do here by editing your user talk page. We'll stop by later to read them.

Warner/ Chappell Production Music

[edit]

Warner/Chappell Music, Inc. is an American music publishing company, and a division of the Warner Music Group. In 2007, the company acquired Non-Stop Music. Additionally, in 2010 it acquired 615 Music, a Nashville-based production music company. It is unknown when they acquired Groove Worx.

Introduction

[edit]

On April 4th, 2012, Warner/Chappell Music announced the merger of its production music companies 615 music, Non Stop Music, and Groove Worxcreating the Warner/Chappell Production Music demonstration and purchasers website, as well as the home of a massive multi-divisional music library carrying 73 varieties. While W/C would have its own site combining the three companies, each company would continue to maintain its own production site as well.

Groove Worx

[edit]

Groove Worx (known as Groove Addicts until 2010) is a custom music house that produces music for various categories of media. Based in Marina Del Rey, CA, Groove Worx was founded in 1996 as a custom music house for television commercials and radio stations, producing custom jingle packages for domestic and international clients. Over the next two years Groove Worx quickly expanded into other areas of media by building a 30,000 track strong production library, and producing custom news music for television stations such as KNBC.

In 2004, Groove Worx began creating custom cues for hit television shows such as Extreme Makeover, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and Deal or No Deal. Groove Worx also embedded itself into the realm of feature film advertising with the release of the Full Tilt, Volume 1 music collection, which became an instantaneous hit. Full Tilt, Volume 1 was followed up by Full Tilt, Volumes 2 and 3 and Full Tilt Trailer Tools 1 & 2, additional collections of trailer music compositions.

In October 2006, Groove Worx collaborated with composer/drummer Stewart Copeland of the Police to create Eardrum, a collection of film trailer music that was exclusively created for Groove Worx. In 2007 Groove Worx released Full Tilt, Volume 3, the most ambitious project to date and will be working on a follow up to Eardrum, as well as work with new composers to further round out their film trailer collections.

Full Tilt Rising has since been released. Yet another album by the name of Glory,Oath and Blood quickly followed. Groove Worx recently produced the background track for the movies Robin Hood, Avatar, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, Prince of Persia, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Inception and The Wolfman.Full Tilt Convergence is the latest album released by Groove Worx. It features several hybrid rock tracks.

615 Music

[edit]

615 Music is a broadcast production music company based in Nashville, Tennessee. 615 Music composes television news music packages and custom image campaigns for many television networks around the world. 615 Music also operates out of Los Angeles. The name 615 Music comes from Nashville's Area Code (615), which is where the company is based.

The company composed the last three image campaigns for NBC's Today morning news/entertainment program: "Live for Today" (2005–2006), "It's a New Day" (2006–2007), and "Why I Love Today" (2008). The "Live for Today" theme was nominated for an Emmy. 615 Music also has a production music library.

The company, along with other composers of news music such as Gari Communications, have seen a surge in business since the third quarter of 2006. This is because licensing companies had raised the prices of licensing. In 2007, 615 Music signed a deal with Belo Corporation making them the exclusive provider of news music for the station group.[1]

The company's music has also been licensed for use in movie trailers. Their track "Goth" was used in the domestic trailer for Live Free Or Die Hard.

615 Music also produced the new official theme song for the Atlanta Braves, "The Braves Play Here" by James Otto.[2]
