File permission problem with File:Razorcake Issue 77 Cover.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Razorcake Issue 77 Cover.jpg, which you've attributed to Razorcake. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:03, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

January 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Razorcake may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • latimes.com/2001/jun/03/magazine/tm-5872 "Bulletin From The Mosh Pit"] latimes.com 3 June 2001]</ref>
  • *The Hex Dispensers]– ''Sister Series'' 7” (paired with Young Offenders)

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 22:31, 3 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for January 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Razorcake, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Repo Man (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:12, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree files: 5 Razorcake magazine covers[edit]

Several files that you uploaded or altered have been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because their copyright statuses are unclear or disputed. If these files' copyright statuses cannot be verified, they may be deleted. You may find more information on the files' description pages. You are welcome to add comments to their entries at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files/2014 April 26 if you object to these listing for any reason. The best outcome is to use the OTRS process to document that you are either the copyright owner or the copyright owner's legal representative.

The files in question are:

I have also marked the two videos you uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons as needing permission. If you do not provide evidence that the copyright owner released them under a Commons-compatible license or evidence that you are the copyright owner or his legal representative, they will likely be deleted in a week. See your Commons talk page for more information. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 21:17, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sean Carswell[edit]

There's no problem about recreating the article. As long as you include multiple independent references from reliable sources (ie. sources other than Sean's own website or his publisher's website) to demonstrate notability, you are free to do that any time. Wikilinking[edit]

When wikilinking a phrase, wikilink the whole thing or don't wikilink at all. You recently changed the phrase "Thomas Pynchon scholar" into "Thomas Pynchon scholar". If there was an article about the Thomas Pynchon scholar program or the Thomas Pynchon scholarship, you could wikilink to that, but do not wikilink to Thomas Pynchon. The exception would be if the scholarship or scholar program were actually discussed in the article about the person. In that case, you could wikilink to the section that discussed it. For example, IF there was a section called "Scholarship program" in the article about Mr. Pynchon, you could wikilink to Thomas Pynchon#Scholarship program. For the sake of clarity, you may wish to "pipe" the link, like so: [[Thomas Pynchon#Scholarship program|Thomas Pynchon scholar]]. This will display as Thomas Pynchon scholar and will go directly to the "Scholarship program" section of the page if that section exists. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 04:21, 1 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Sean Carswell (September 29)[edit]

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. Here's why:
The author's books are in only 4 or 5 libraries each, according to WorldCat, Please do not submit this again, until there are much better sources to show notability''

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Sean Carswell, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:31, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
