GA process
Thank you for your comments. Indeed, the reason why I am seeking a second opinion is so that all of the work will not be lost and that we promote the article to GA once these two small points are resolved. Racepacket (talk) 05:42, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

DYK for Maryland Route 24
On 5 March 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Maryland Route 24, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Maryland Route 24 parallels Deer Creek through Rocks State Park? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

US 113
You might want to audit through the article as I found a picky, but widespread, error in the article that's repeated through the whole thing. A "U.S. highway" is any highway in the U.S. whereas a "U.S. Highway" is a part of the United States Numbered Highway System. Ditto the difference in capitalization between U.S. route and U.S. Route. Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:13, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
Where does I-370 end?
I defer to your expertise. I understand that the end of I-370 is outside the Gaithersburg, Maryland city limits. I would say that it is in the unincorporated area of Shady Grove, Maryland, which is the area south of the Gaithersburg city limits. If you agree, can we change it to Shady Grove, Maryland for accuracy? Racepacket (talk) 03:29, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
I think you are trying to split hairs here.
- The area surrounding Metro station is popularly known as Shady Grove, since that is the name of the station. However, the Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) does not recognize a place simply called Shady Grove. Shady Grove does not appear on USGS maps.
- The station has a Derwood mailing address. GNIS recognizes a populated place and a census-designated place called Derwood; the CDP looks like it was very recently designated. On USGS topo maps, Derwood is marked where Redland Road crosses the railroad just south of the Metro station.
- The station and the MD 200 interchange are in the census-designated place of Redland. GNIS recognizes a populated place and a census-designated place called Redland. On USGS maps, Redland is marked at the intersection of Redland Road and MD 115 a few miles away.
Based on the sources, I would use Derwood as a location for the Metro station and MD 200 interchange. If you do make the change, make sure you update the junction list table as well as the header. VC 13:21, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
I have placed your nomination on hold. Thanks, Racepacket (talk) 03:27, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

DYK for Maryland Route 194
On 26 April 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Maryland Route 194, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the Woodsboro and Frederick Turnpike, which is now part of Maryland Route 194, was the last private toll road in Maryland when it was purchased by the state in 1921? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Hey, I'm reviewing an article you put on GAN. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 00:27, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
- Hey, the article is still on GAN. I'd hate to fail it over lack of sourcing for 270 and 370 ;) --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 20:13, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
Pre-RFC straw poll
There is a brief straw poll to see if conducting a RFC on the question of coordinates in road articles is worthwhile at WT:RJL. Your input would be appreciated. --Rschen7754 08:20, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
State route history
When you redirected Virginia State Route 73 to List of primary state highways in Virginia shorter than one mile you killed the history. Please don't do this. --NE2 02:47, 4 September 2011 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification
Hi, this message is to let you know about disambiguation links you've recently created. A link to a disambiguation page is almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.
- Virginia State Route 156 (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver)
- was linked to Richmond District
Any suggestions for improving this automated tool are welcome. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 13:22, 16 November 2011 (UTC)

GAN for Maryland Route 363
Hi! I reviewed another one of your articles at GAN, Maryland Route 363, and placed it on hold pending resolution of a couple of issues. You can find the review here. –Grondemar 18:04, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- Since there hasn't been any response to your request to fix the map for several days and we are nearing the end of the month (and the December 2011 GAN backlog elimination drive), I am leaning toward closing the review. Let me know your thoughts. If the review is closed out without passing the article, just drop me a talk page note when the map is finally fixed and we can quickly push the article through a new GAN review. –Grondemar 21:30, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
- Images of any form are not required for GA. --Rschen7754 03:11, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- How about I comment out the image until a correct image is produced? Then there will be no image problem in relation to the GA criteria because there will be no images. VC 03:46, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- OK, if the image is commented-out until it is fixed, I would be willing to pass the GAN now. In fact, I'll take care of it myself... –Grondemar 05:26, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
