SoxBot IRC stalking

Hey X! We could use some of SoxBot's love at #pediapress. We had a similar bot in the past doing some linking work, but it was recently taken down. So I though about your bot, which I first saw in ##juliancolton. I tried to see if there was a way to set it up on my own, but I couldn't find it, so here I am. The desired behaviour would be:

  • Wikilinker[1]
  • Stalk users
  • Stalk pages
  • Give notices whenever a page in the book namespace (Book:Foobar) is created, but not for subsequent edits made to that page.
  1. ^ [[Foo]] should link to the english Wikipedia as usual, but if possible, [[.en Foo]] should link to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foo, while [[.de Foo]] should link to http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foo, while [[.fr Foo]] to http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foo, etc... And if that's not possible, we'll live.

created pages counter

your tool ([1]) seems to summarize created redirects and created non-redirects, if theres not at least one created page (or redirect) between them. could you possibly fix that (or am i getting something wrong?) ? regards, --Itsnotuitsme (talk) 19:43, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

A little help please

You need to save it. Once you have done that, if you go to the counter, you should see the monthly figures. (For my OptIn, I just have // Opt in to X!s new edit counter as a comment). Try saving it, and come back here if you have problems. -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 10:29, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Adminstats/Adminbars requests

Is it possible to add a timestamp onto the Adminstats:

which would give something like: Updated 04:38, 3 May 2010 (UTC) by SoxBot

For Adminbars, is it possible for you to add it as a task to SoxBot - it uses the same figures generated for Adminstats anyway - it's only the first and last lines that are different (these are the current versions of {{Adminstats/Phantomsteve}} and {{Adminbars/Phantomsteve}} - pink shows differences, green shows the same lines):

Bot goof up

This edit is clearly inaccurate. Presumably related to the new WikiCup round starting: either the page is formatted slightly differently or the bot's code was confused by the new, smaller contestant list. --ThaddeusB (talk) 13:23, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

little bug in edit counter

In your edit counter, I looked up my username edits, and I clicked in the "username" link at the top of the result page. The link is broken because it sends me to "User:Enric+Naval" instead of "User:Enric_Naval". ("+" instead of "_") --Enric Naval (talk) 22:02, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

MPUploadBot

For some reason, MPUploadBot is not saving the information/license/{{C-uploaded}} correctly on several files, the most recent of which I believe is File:Lamprotornis hildebrandti -Tanzania-8-2c.jpg. Not sure if this can be averted? • ɔ ʃ → 04:08, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

Wikipedia:WikiCup/History/2010

The bot is counting one DYK, one GA and one FL for everyone. At first I thought it was because of spaces on the submissions' pages, but I removed them and the problem hasn't been resolved. Help? J Milburn (talk) 09:25, 5 May 2010 (UTC)

Why did you delete Run Doris Run?

X! is on a break from Wikipedia for a little bit, so I will respond! The article Run Doris Run was not deleted by X!, but by Fang Aili at 00:07, 28 April 2006 as the article was about a band but did not give any indication of why they were important or significant. No article Run Doris Run? has ever been created. I did a bit of searching, and cannot find significant coverage at reliable, independent sources about the band - all I could find were either minor coverage (such as their name listed along with other band names playing at places, but no details about the band itself) or press releases (which are not independent). If you have some reliable and independent sources which show that the band meet the criteria for inclusion, please contact me on my talk page (just click on 'talk' in my signature), and I can give further advice about creating this article. -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 14:35, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

edit counter uses a Russian interface on me

I access the editcounter at "/ec" and it sends me to "/pc", which is apparently in Russian or something. I use Firefox 3.5.9, and the preferred languages are set to "ca", "en" and "en-us" (in that order).
