Emerson College Edit-a-Thon

As part of Emerson's 3rd Annual Teach-in on Race, the Iwasaki Library will host a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon focusing on screenwriters of color.
Special guest, Professor Rae Shaw will speak at 2:30PM about her work in this area.

2:30-3:00 -- Professor Rae Shaw will speak about her project on African American Screen writers -- Refreshments

FAQ

I've never edited Wikipedia before, can I still participate?
--Yes! We will help you with basic editing skills or you can check out these online tutorials.

I can only come for part of the event, is that OK?
--Yes! We're happy to have you for whatever part of the day you can join us.

Do I need to bring a laptop or other device?
--No, but you can if you want to. The event is being held in the library classroom (W322) so we can host up to 21 editors at once.

The Iwasaki Library has many resources that will be useful for editing articles. We will have some print resources available in the classroom for you to consult. Also, you may find the following databases helpful:
