[edit]How to print the little external link pages that you click the word "Show" and then a drop down page of info is displayed.
[edit]What is the procedure for printing these drop down show option?
Thanks, — Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.170.80.25 (talk) 15:57, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
- 1) This would be a better Q for the Computer Ref Desk.
- 2) If nothing else works, and you are on a Windows computer, hit the Print Screen keyboard button (top row, right side), then open up MS Paint, and do a paste. This will paste the entire screen, but you can then use the frame and crop options to remove the excess, before printing or saving. StuRat (talk) 17:28, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
- I think you are talking about the collapsed templates that are often used to include a load of links to related things but not take up the space when you don't want to see them. There may be a better answer, but if you pick the 'V' at the top left, that will take you to the template page (where the template is defined), and I think that will print. --ColinFine (talk) 22:33, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
NYC motorcycle road rage incident
[edit]Does Wikipedia have an article on the September 29 New York City motorcycle road rage incident? Was there an article which was deleted as being a mere news item? After 2 weeks it continues to get nationwide coverage as more info emerges, such as the alleged participation among the unruly crowd of bikers by off-duty police reportedly " two detectives, one sergeant and three police officers" with one detective arrested for actually attacking the van. It seems to have a broader notability than a random brawl or fender bender: 14,100 results in continuing coverage. Edison (talk) 21:39, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
- Good question. It will be in the news for a long time, and has been on an upward trend since it happened. Help Desk might give a better answer, as they may know secret ways to search here that are not obvious at "advanced search". μηδείς (talk) 21:56, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
- Someone just started it today, under the fairly wordy title New York City SUV Motorcycle Road Rage Incident. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 00:31, 10 October 2013 (UTC)
- I have tripled the size of the article, and moved it to Alexien Lien beating. I'd appreciate any help with the article. μηδείς (talk) 03:52, 10 October 2013 (UTC)
- I wonder if the crippled biker actually said "diffuse" as opposed to "defuse". ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 04:04, 10 October 2013 (UTC)
- Can you give a link to that? I am tempted to laugh, but I shouldn't. I have lived within 20-40 blocks of 178th street for the last 20+ years, so I know the local dialect. μηδείς (talk) 04:18, 10 October 2013 (UTC)
- It's actually quoted in the Allred article, and is lifted directly from the source. At the very least, it should probably say '[sic]'. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 13:05, 10 October 2013 (UTC)
- You can hear her saying the words at about 1:30 in the video here. It sounds a bit like "diffuse" to me, but the words can be more or less homophones in everyday speech so I'd give her the benefit of the doubt (and I've changed the Gloria Allred article accordingly). - FYI The incident is getting coverage in down here in Oz. Sad that cops were involved. Interesting we don't have a Category:Road rage. If only they had said at the start "Fugedaboudit". 05:07, 10 October 2013 (UTC)
- My first thought on seeing that incident covered on Inside Edition was, "Where were the police?" Answer: They were part of the motorcycle gang. Thanks a lot, New York's Finest. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 19:26, 10 October 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks to all. One more question: What is the pronunciation of "Wojciech Braszczok?" Edison (talk) 20:14, 10 October 2013 (UTC)

- I don't know how that person pronounces his own name, but a Pole would call him "voy-ts-yekh brahsh-chok". -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 20:44, 10 October 2013 (UTC)
- (Or Wojzjech Braschtschock, as some of us prefer our transliterations. μηδείς (talk) 21:34, 10 October 2013 (UTC))
- Yes, with stress on the initial syllables (as they are also penultimates). I doubt we'll get a reliable source on this, though. μηδείς (talk) 21:30, 10 October 2013 (UTC)
- What Jack says sounds pretty close to the way they said it on the news tonight. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 00:28, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
