Wolfgang Mager (born 24 August 1952) is a German rower who competed for East Germany in the 1972 Summer Olympics and in the 1976 Summer Olympics.

He was born in Kamenz. In 1972, he and his partner, Siegfried Brietzke, won the gold medal in the coxless pair event. Four years later, he won his second gold medal as crew member of the East German boat in the coxless fours competition. At the 1980 Olympics, the East German boat won the gold medal again but Mager suffered a hand injury before the Games and was replaced by Jürgen Thiele.
