Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Jazz (word) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Thank you for your help formatting and editing the Royal Economic Society info. I think I have fixed all the links and formatted the page to Wikipedia guidelines. Can you advise if I have everything in place?

User:Technoquat

Hey there! Based on your editing history and awards and such, I'm assuming that you are not a sock of Technoquat. That being said, your username is extremely similar and I was wondering if you would be opposed to adding a userbox or banner of some type saying that you are indeed not that user and if they the visitor is looking for something related to that user they should check Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Technoquat for appropriate information? I would be willing to help you create such a thing if you are interested at all. If not, that isn't a problem either, just wanted to offer my help. :) Technical 13 (talk) 14:32, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bell Challenge

Hello Technopat,

I am not registered as an editor, but I am sure about the fact that my changes on the Bell Challenge were more than constructive. On the following link you can see that up to the last edition of the Bell Challenge in 2012, the court type was NOT hard court but a carpet court. In order to see this, have a look at the pdf-draws of the last tournaments of this WTA link.

http://www.wtatennis.com/tournaments/tournamentId/590/title/bell-challenge

Why is this fact important? Hard courts are significantly slower than carpet courts. On a carpet court, the ball does bounce not as high as on hard court and the game resembles more that of a grass court. Long into the 2000s, many indoor events on both the ATP and WTA were held on carpet courts. However, the ATP has changed all carpet court indoor tournaments into hard court ones and in 2007, the last edition of the Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo (WTA) were held on carpet. This means that since 2008, the Bell Challenge is the last professional tournament to be held on carpet court.

Therefore, please undo the delete of my changes. Moreover, I am not pleased with the court types of some WTA events in the past on Wikipedia on both their tournament sites and the calendars. For example, the Tokyo event which was traditionally held a week after the Australian Open was up to 2007 a carpet court event. The calendars of the WTA sometimes indicate it wrongly as a hard court event.

Hi Technopat, I really appreciate your quick reaction about my find. Degrassi (season 13)

Just because an IP removes information, that doesn't make them vandals. 117Avenue (talk) 01:57, 17 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • (Replying here at editor's request) Thank you 117Avenue, but I can assure you that I'm perfectly well aware of that. In the case in point, an IP deleted over 3,600 bytes at Degrassi (season 13) without leaving any kind of edit summary. However, from the note you've left me above, you seem to be under the misapprehension that I considered the editor a vandal, when in fact the notice I left on his/her talkpage (which you have removed) is as follows:

Hello, I'm Technopat. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Degrassi (season 13) because it did not appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page.

No accusation whatsoever of vandalism. If the IP in question considered my reversion a mistake, nothing could be simpler than to let me know here. --Technopat (talk) 09:26, 17 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Your edit summary was "Reverted edit(s) by 69.125.232.169 identified as test/vandalism". Sure, removing a large piece of referenced text looks like vandalism, but if you would have taken a look at the history, a user had just added a massive amount of unreferenced information. Please put more effort into determining what a test/vandalism edit is. Thanks, 117Avenue (talk) 03:36, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The edit summary is a default message left by STiki. Admittedly, it can be modified according to taste, but hardly necessary. The important message for the editor in question is the one that contains the invitation to leave a message on my talk page, an invitation you unfortunately deleted. Can we leave this now, please, and move on? Our efforts are better employed on more relevant edits.--Technopat (talk) 09:54, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Irene Zisblatt

You removed my addition to the Irene Zisblatt page about the veracity of her testimony being called into question. I didn't cite it, that is true. I have a very compelling feeling, however, that were I too, it would be removed anyway, because the subject matter is the Holocaust and its inclusion would appear to be evidence of "Holocaust Denial", which, within the current climate of political correctness in the West, would mean, regardless of the veracity of my own assertions, it would still be struck from the record.

Then let me put it this way: Irene Zisblatt's testimony is destructive to the memory of the Holocaust. Her testimony is so outrageously fraudulent in fact - research it for yourself - that the antisemites have exploited it endlessly to prove that the Holocaust is a myth. Now, it is in that spirit that I wish to be considered when I amend the Wikipedia entry to include those words. What say you Technopat? Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mdupla1 (talkcontribs) date

Regarding your recent edit: I didn't add that bit of information to the article, but I know that Frank and Ivy Stranahan were, perhaps, the first residents of Las Olas Boulevard. Their trading post, the Stranahan House (on Las Olas) is a significant part of Fort Lauderdale history. The Stranahans are quite notable. Gulbenk (talk) 03:48, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
