Editing on Tim Burton[edit]

Thanks for explaining the removal, perhaps it is unnecessary information to know how to pronounce "Burton" as it is indeed a common name. Just keep in mind WP:3RR for the next time you revert an edit. Good luck working on the Encyclopedia! Hecseur (talk) 15:25, 23 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Pronunciation. The page indicates that pronunciation should be used sparingly. Because it is not purely vandalism, however, editors will be unlikely to revert the insertion of pronunciation by users who are most likely acting in good faith. Such restraint is a Wikipedia guideline. So you need not make comments about Wikipedia based on the overzealous use of pronunciations by users who are not following the guidelines but are not committing vandalism. Thank you. Beatles category[edit]

Stop placing Beatles songs into categories that do not and will not exsist. - FlightTime (open channel) 03:10, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You don't think it's a common sense idea to have The Beatles songs specified by the member who sang them? These are categories that should have existed all along. But people like to screw me and delete my work.--68.192.236.111 (talk) 03:39, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't say it was a bad idea, but changes like that need to be discussed first, that's how things around done around here and the best place to open a discussion about what you want to do and why is here Wikipedia talk:WikiProject The Beatles. - FlightTime (open channel) 03:46, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Seperately, I'm going to try to find out where proposed categories can be discussed. I'm dubious of "The Beatles songs sung by ...", but other people might be better able to evaluate. I've posted a question at Where to discuss proposed categories?. If they say somewhere else I'll repost it. A lot of WP policies/procedures have definite reasons, but it is hard to second-guess correctly, so we ask...
BTW: a Category:Cassidy_family was deleted back in 2007, along time ago. It's hard for me to know whether they would consider it justified now. (But just because someone was a step-father at one time?!) Shenme (talk) 05:05, 13 September 2018 (UTC) Is there another noteworthy Cassidy family out there? No, there is not, you people simply love to target me. Certainly enough of them to make the category more than justified.--68.192.236.111 (talk) 10:33, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Who's Zoomin' Who, without resolving the problem that the template refers to. This may be considered disruptive editing. Further edits of this type may result in your account being blocked from editing. Stub templates serve as an invitation to expand shorter articles and do not reflect on the merits or importance of the article itself. Aoi (青い) (talk) 21:16, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

National varieties of English[edit]

Information icon Hello. In a recent edit to the page Diana Krall, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. - FlightTime (open channel) 21:18, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Navigation templates[edit]

Hi, tahnks for your edits. However, navigation templates are for navigating between articles, so a nav template should not be added to a page which is not linked in the template. There are also few cases where it is acceptable to add people to nav boxes for TV series and other media. I've reverted your addition of show templates to Real World contestants, etc, but it looks like you've done this in a lot more areas as well.— TAnthonyTalk 21:16, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Legal threat made here. --Jayron32 16:29, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You don't think your behavior meets the definition of harassment? Think about the backwards, inconsistent stand you're taking, Michael Brandt, Derek Haas, Eriq la Salle, Matt Olmstead & Dick Wolf the creative forces behind the Chicago (franchise), but Wikipedia chooses not to follow the common sense approach of putting the franchise's navbox on their individual pages, but would rather be a bunch of jerkoffs and violate logic and NOT put the box on their pages. Your position is entirely indefensible.--68.192.236.111 (talk) 17:37, 19 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
