Feldhues Group moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Feldhues Group, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 15:56, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

May 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello. Some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to Lido Shuffle, have conflicted with our neutral point of view and/or verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. Doctorhawkes (talk) 05:34, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

June 2023[edit]

Information icon

Hello AbsentPat. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Devin Millar, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:AbsentPat. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=AbsentPat|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Sam Kuru (talk) 23:24, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm struggling to find sources of this guy, but I found him and was surprised he didn't have a page yet. It already does looks like someone else tried to make this but though from the looks if it it seems like he changed in popularity compared to the last time a page of him was attempted. But for your information, no I am not paid. AbsentPat (talk) 23:29, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You're almost exclusively adding paid/fake/seo sources. Please stop. If you're not able to evaluate reliable sources, then it would be a very good idea to avoid WP:BLPs. Sam Kuru (talk) 23:33, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Well sometimes it can be hard to tell considering how close most of them look to actual magazines and news sources. AbsentPat (talk) 23:37, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am going to try to pay more attention to these. Looking back it really looks someone ordered a lot of PR for themselves. Thank you for the tip. AbsentPat (talk) 23:39, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your edit to the disambiguation page Hello (disambiguation). However, please note that disambiguation pages are not articles; rather, they are meant to help readers find a specific article quickly and easily. From the disambiguation dos and don'ts, you should:

  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry
    • Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
  • Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links or references

Machine-translated articles[edit]

Please stop creating machine-translated articles (and untranslated articles in case of dewiki) in other language versions. You have already been blocked in the Danish Wikipedia and the German Wikipedia for that reason.

It is expected that translators are competent in the languages they are creating articles in. It does not matter if it a translation or not. Bare machine translations without working out the kinks is generally not allowed. You are generating work for the regular editors in other wikis who now have to check your articles, see if some are salvageable or delete them. Count Count (talk) 04:56, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jaba Daba (Caveman) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article does not exist or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Ways to improve Natural Born Hippies[edit]

Hello, AbsentPat,

Thank you for creating Natural Born Hippies.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Looks like a good start, could use some copy-editing for grammar, but overall no major issues.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|IceBergYYC}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Machine translations[edit]

Please, stop creating machine translated articles in so many languages. This just provide more workload for editors. Your account was requested to be globally locked, but I decided to give you another chance. Please, cooperate. —Teles «Talk to me˱M @ C S˲» 02:31, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for November 22[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Devin Millar, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page EDM. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Your draft article, Draft:Erika (singer)[edit]

Hello, AbsentPat. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Erika".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. plicit 08:06, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Meet Arnold moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Meet Arnold. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. GMH Melbourne (talk) 11:02, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
