Re:Courtney Cox IMDB

First, there is a difference between an external link and a reference. External links are chiefly for providing links to information that cannot be adequately summed up in an article. IMDb has quite a bit of information in the filmographies that we don't list because it's so much cruft. IMDb is a reliable source for roles that an actor has played because that information is provided by the production companies themselves. For instance, I have an IMDb page. It lists the films that I've worked on. Those titles were added to my biography by the director that I worked with. Meanwhile, biographical info is added by the general public much like here at WP. Anyone can send in info but they may not include a source or they may include a source which isn't reliable. And IMDb will include it. So, IMDb is an important link to add to the external links section but it can't always be used as a reference. Dismas|^(talk) 02:22, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Birmingham Hospital

I understand that from your username you are interested in promoting Birmingham on Wikipedia. However, attempting to diminish hospitals outside of Birmingham in order to puff up the one within Birmingham is going to be met with resistance unless you have sources that clearly and unambiguously verify what you're claiming. You're claiming that many of these hospitals are only designated as such by the State, where are the sources? The sources you provided show that the State recognizes them as such, not that they are the only entity to do so.
