Yintan.

Hello, EuroCarGT. You have new messages at Pdebee's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

(Small typo).

Dear EuroCarGT, I have viewed your User page for the first time this morning and it looks really good; I had to smile when I noticed that you like userboxes as much as I do!

In passing, I noticed a small typo in your "About me" section: "I support WikiMedia and what *there* doing to help the world get information." As you know, it should be "... *they're* ...". I thought I'd bring this to your attention, as I would certainly want to know, if our roles had been the other way round.

Take care and keep up the good work!

With kind regards; Patrick. ツ Pdebee. (talk) 10:28, 8 November 2013 (UTC)

Thanks Patrick! ///EuroCarGT 22:08, 8 November 2013 (UTC)

About the Pushtigban or Pustipan

Pushtigban or Pustiban means life guard, so it would be inappropriate to repeat it in two kind of language. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Megada (talkcontribs) 16:37, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

Meg Griffin

You reverted the change I made to the Meg Griffin page. I changed her first name to Megatron, presumably you thought this to be vandalism; the most recent episode (which aired tonight) contained a scene in which Peter changed her name on her birth certificate shortly after her birth. Whether this is canon or not is debatable, but until they indicate otherwise I would assume it to be correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.88.150.67 (talk) 02:47, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

I just change Wipeout

Too make it interesting. I just wanted Wipeout to came out in 1998 not 2008. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.175.92.79 (talk) 02:42, 13 November 2013 (UTC) Sorry please give me another chance.

Thanks

Thank you so much for reverting the vandalism on my userpage. Honestly, I could not have caught it myself. Epicgenius(give him tiradecheck out damage) 13:51, 13 November 2013 (UTC)

Glad to help! That's why I use Huggle it's cross-space meaning it detects vandalism on every mainspace (Article. Talk, User. User talk, Template, Template talk and etc.). ///EuroCarGT 13:54, 13 November 2013 (UTC)

A Barnstar for You!

The AFC Backlog Buster Barnstar

Congratulations, EuroCarGT! You're receiving the Invisible Barnstar because you reviewed 54 articles during the recent AFC Backlog elimination drive! Thank you for you contributions to Wikipedia at-large and helping to keep the backlog down. We hope you continue reviewing submissions and stay in touch at the talk page. Your Terms page

I really liked your Terms page and the conditions outlined in it. Could I duplicate much of its content onto a user subpage of mine, then add a couple of tweaks to that subpage? I just want people to see that subpage on my user space before they revert or post on my talk page. Of course, I will provide attribution to you. If you don't want me to, just let me know. Thanks! Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Moto G, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Android (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Huggle 3

Hey EuroCarGT! I am Petrb, one of core developers of Huggle, the antivandalism tool, which you are beta testing (according to https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Huggle/Members#Beta_testers). I am happy to announce that Huggle 3 is ready for some testing. You can read more about it at WP:Huggle/Huggle3_Beta. Please keep in mind that this is a development version and it is not ready for regular use. That means you must:

  • Watch your contribs - when anything happens you didn't want, fix it and report a bug
  • Frequently checkout source code and build latest version, we change it a lot

If you find any problem with a feature that is supposed to work perfectly, please let us know. Some features are not ready yet, it is listed in known problems on Huggle3 beta page, you don't need to report these - we know it! So, that's it. Have fun testing and please let us know about any problems, either using bugzilla @ http://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/ or #huggle connect. Please respond to my talk page, I am not going to watch your talk page. Thank you Petrb (talk) 10:57, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

Header.

Nice work there, my one is in the making too! Plus like in Anna Frodesiak page you should give the attribution link. Soham Banerjee 07:40, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

Thank you! ///EuroCarGT 16:08, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
Plus the use of Cyan in such a light background I mean your talk page reduces visibility so I suggest you turn it to a darker shade.   Sohambanerjee1998   18:56, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
The user talk page is currently a work in progress, you got any suggestions for the colour scheme? Thanks! ///EuroCarGT 18:58, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
Oh yes I do! I know you have a Honda Accord which in general has a colour scheme of steel so something in that range would be nice, plus a darker shade keeping in mind the colour of your sig. Their are some cliches though, like the old boucywikilogo, the talk page banner above, numerous archive search options. It would look a lot better if it slick/clean enough.   Sohambanerjee1998   19:03, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
So a steel-theme it is! Got any codes that I should use. Feel free to edit the page if you want, I don't mind! Just make sure it's constructive, and if you make a mistake just undo it! ///EuroCarGT 19:07, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
Yes I will as I have some nice decorations in my mind. But only after 28th of this month after my exams are over. See you then.   Sohambanerjee1998   02:31, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
Alrighty then! Good luck on your exams! ///EuroCarGT 02:33, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
You'll find an example - here. Tell me how it looks.   Sohambanerjee1998   02:50, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

Looks good, makes the theming look smooth and the text goes along with it! ///EuroCarGT 02:56, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

Another surprise will come soon. Today is my first exam, woke up at 6, studies till 8, now 8:30. What are your other fav colours, tell me as I will code in HTML.   Sohambanerjee1998   02:59, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
Any types of blue, grey, green and orange. ///EuroCarGT 03:04, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
Okay, I see. I guarantee that yours will be the most fabulous talk page in wiki history.   Sohambanerjee1998   03:06, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
Here's another screenshot - http://postimg.org/image/3lv2pd03n/. This coded in full HTMl.   Sohambanerjee1998   03:08, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
In the meantime why don't you spice up your sig as well?   Sohambanerjee1998   03:10, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
Progressing very well, just don't make the page too fancy, keep it simple yet elegant. And the signature doesn't need work currently. ///EuroCarGT 03:12, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
Yes I'll keep it in consideration while designing. Take for eg. - Titodutta's talk page. Its too coded in HTML.   Sohambanerjee1998   03:16, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
I will design it in my sandbox and then copy it in your talk so as to avoid (edit conflict) due to incoming replies.   Sohambanerjee1998   03:18, 11 November 2013 (UTC)r

Looking forwards to it! It's my bedtime now, so yeah! ///EuroCarGT 03:33, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

Its unfortunate that we live in diff time zones were apart by 11 hours!   Sohambanerjee1998   11:34, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
I have a question though, I see you have two talk searches - one by Cluebot III and the other I don't know. I assume that Cluebot is active and the other ones manually I think. Which month does it denotes? I suggest merging the two keeping only Cluebot III.   Sohambanerjee1998   11:50, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
User:Sohambanerjee1998/EuroCarGT user talk design. I have stripped the current contents to a bare minimum.   Sohambanerjee1998   12:59, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
I switched to ClueBot III 2 months ago as MizaBot wasn't functioning well, so merging the 2 will be a good idea. I've also seen the draft page and it's looking like a great start! Again, looking forwards to it! ///EuroCarGT 21:00, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
 Done.   Sohambanerjee1998   03:10, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
Yes, I see the few tweaks, those I left to you.   Sohambanerjee1998   03:19, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the barnstar, the example I gave you were not rendering properly in IE, Safari and Mozilla firefox (my brothers computer) and if user talk pages don't render properly one day an Admin might just turn up with a note. So I used this layered technique instead. I hope you liked it, plus I will find a way out. Hey can I design your User page too?   Sohambanerjee1998   11:40, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
Not at this moment, I currently the userpage is fine for now. Thanks! ///EuroCarGT 13:35, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
I have added the gradient, I think you use Firefox, is it turning up?   Sohambanerjee1998   17:38, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
Hey mate is the gradient turning up?   Sohambanerjee1998   05:44, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
Hey Euro is the gradient turning up?   Sohambanerjee1998   15:07, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
Great! It's not too dark but not too light! Sorry for responding late, I'm busy currently. ///EuroCarGT 03:06, 20 November 2013 (UTC)

Nice, I usually wait but I posted only to make sure that Cluebot does not archive it thinking the thread has become inactive.   Sohambanerjee1998   05:24, 20 November 2013 (UTC)

Do you want any other schemes or any other colours?   Sohambanerjee1998   11:36, 20 November 2013 (UTC)

The jumping wikipedia globe gif

If you want it in front of the normal globe, you have to change the z-index to a higher number. Put it at 999 (or any other very high number). Unless you want it underneath. Anyhow, I didn't know you are from Toronto! Have you ever gone to a meetup? Ross Hill (talk) 02:37, 25 Nov 2013 (UTC)

Oh and I live in Toronto in case your wondering why I care . Ross Hill (talk) 02:39, 25 Nov 2013 (UTC) 02:39, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
Thanks but I don't see no z-axis or index. Also great to see another Torontonian! Never been to a meet-up before. ///EuroCarGT 02:43, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
So in your syntax for the floating globe right now it's:
<div style="position: fixed; left:30px; top:0; display:block;">
[[File:New-Bouncywikilogo.gif|122px|link=|alt=EuroCarGT]]
</div>
To make it above the other element in the page (the wikipedia globe) you need to increase the "z-index" to above that of the normal globe. Since I don't know what the normal globe's z-index is, I'd just make the z-index ridiculously high like 999. Your new syntax should look like this:
<div style="position: fixed; left:30px; top:0; display:block; z-index:999">
[[File:New-Bouncywikilogo.gif|122px|link=|alt=EuroCarGT]]
</div>
I hope this helps! By the way, If you don't want to gif to scroll with the page, you need to change it from "position: fixed" to "position: absolute". But if you do you will need to adjust the distance in px from "left" and "top". Ross Hill (talk) 02:55, 25 Nov 2013 (UTC)
I haven't been to a meetup either actually , but I hope to once I have more time for that kind of thing. Ross Hill (talk) 02:55, 25 Nov 2013 (UTC)
Alrighty thank, now I know! The last Wikipedia meet-up was 2007. Geezzz. ///EuroCarGT 03:00, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
Or was it 2011? But yeah still a ways back. I could have sworn there was a meetup being planned for last year. Sadly WP:Meetup/Toronto seems very inactive. Anyhow, off for the night. Adios, Ross Hill (talk) 03:19, 25 Nov 2013 (UTC)

GAN December 2013 Backlog Drive

Hello! A GAN Backlog Drive will begin in less than 4 days!

In past Backlog Drives, the goal was to reduce the backlog of Good article nominations. In the upcoming drive, another goal will be added - raising as much money as we can for the Wikimedia Foundation. How will this work? Well, its pretty simple. Any user interested in donating can submit a pledge at the Backlog Drive page (linked above). The pledge should mention the amount of money the user is willing to donate per review. For example, if a user pledges 5 cents per review and 100 nominations are reviewed, the total donation amount is $5.00.

At the time this message was sent out, two users have submitted pledges for a total of 8 cents per review. All pledges, no matter how much money, are greatly appreciated. Also, in no way is this saying you must make a pledge.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or leave a message on the Backlog Drive talk page. And remember, there are less than 4 days before the drive starts!--EdwardsBot (talk) 03:15, 27 November 2013 (UTC)

Huggle 3 beta is out - and we need more feedback!

Hey EuroCarGT, how are you? I am Petrb, one of huggle developers, and you are currently subscribed as a beta tester of huggle on meta (meta:Huggle/Members. You may not have noticed, but this week I released first beta precompiled installers for ubuntu and microsoft windows! Wikipedia:Huggle/Huggle3_Beta has all the links you need. So if you can, please download it, test it and report all bugs that is really what we need now. Don't forgot that as it's just a beta it's unstable and there are some known issues. Be carefull!
