Welcome![edit]

Hello, Jaylanimkpt, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Meenal, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! §FreeRangeFrogcroak 23:45, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Meenal has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 23:45, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 27[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Arjunan Kadhali, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Susan George (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Deletion discussion about Thani Oruvan[edit]

Hello, Jaylanimkpt,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Thani Oruvan should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Thani Oruvan .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, Wgolf (talk) 15:34, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Deletion discussion about Thani Oruvan[edit][edit]

Hi,

Reference URL for the page was added there.

They why you need to Delete this article.

Please don't move Untitled Pandiraj project until you provide a reliably published source with a reputation for fact checking, accuracy and editorial oversight that specifically states the name has been finalized. The current sources all repeatedly state that there is no definite name, only name(s) that are under consideration. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 12:01, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summary[edit]

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. --220 of Borg 05:02, 13 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Nayantara. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Warning for addition of unsourced material and material with a source that does NOT support the claim that it is filming, but explicitly says that it *will be filmed*. A tag has been placed on User:Jaylanimkpt requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. February 2016[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Nayanthara into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:18, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't just try to push your way through this without reading anything. Read WP:CWW and follow the directions. Hint: You're going to need to do something on the talk page since you didn't clearly attribute in your first edit summary when you added the copied content. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:27, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

August 2016[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Cyphoidbomb. I noticed that you made a change to an article, List of highest-grossing Indian films, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Diff: [1] As another editor noted, the site you submitted is not a mainstream publication with an established reputation for fact-checking. Also, you really should read all the discussions on that article's talk page. The gross values are heavily inflated. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 08:33, 14 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
