The article Quillan Roberts has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Contested PROD. Concern was Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league. PROD was contested at WP:UND on the grounds that he has signed but not played for Toronto FC, has received coverage, and played a pre-season friendly against Liverpool, and based on the age of the article. The age of an article has no bearing whatsoever on notability. The coverage he has received appears to all be routine sports journalism, mostly match reports and player bios. WP:NSPORT excludes both friendly matches and players who have not played in competitive matches.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. 1978 FIFA World Cup, goal times and sources.[edit]

Thanks for your changes. The source you provided for goals was http://www.bbc.com/sport/live/football/27633803. That's not a bad source, but it requires some interpretation. The source indicates chronological time with kick-off starting at 15:08. The Netherlands score at 15:42. It's not clear at what time in the match that is. Is that the 33rd minute, the 34th or the 35th? It depends where the kick-off was (15:08:00 through 15:08:59) and when the goal was scored (15:42:00 through 15:42:59). While the information provided by the report, http://www.fifa.com/tournaments/archive/worldcup/argentina1978/matches/round=278/match=2395/index.html, is match-time so we know the goal was at "Rob RENSENBRINK (NED) 34' Penalty goal". I wasn't trying to censor your addition, but be certain it was as accurate as possible. Walter Görlitz (talk) 21:50, 31 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article Luan Guilherme de Jesus Vieira has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. j⚛e deckertalk 05:47, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Rugby League nationalities[edit]

Hi there, unfortunately the changes you have made to player nationalities have had to be reverted. The rls template is only to contain a players current allegiance, or if none that can be sourced, and they have not played for another international side then it is to be their country of birth. This consistency does not diminish or elevate one over another, it simply focuses on the rugby league nation. A players heritage and/or country of birth can be detailed in great length inside the background section of a player article. I can understand that reversions can be disappointing, but there is a consistency in place that goes back a great many years.Fleets (talk) 20:51, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Bruno Pilatos moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Bruno Pilatos, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. January 2024[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into David Fofana. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. signed, Rosguill talk 18:47, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
