Welcome[edit]

Hello, Noebse, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Wikipedia Boot Camp, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!

LGBT Categories[edit]

Hi, Noebse!

I noticed you recently added the Category:LGBT people from Germany to Sabine Braun, Martina Voss, and Imke Duplitzer‎. For Duplitzer, the article actually says she's a lesbian and there's a reliable source to back it up. For the other two, I've removed the category since there's no reference and the article doesn't even mention their sexuality. Please let me know if you have any questions. -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 17:34, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What are the sources behind the person? I checked whatever books are available on the 1944 conspiracy and he's not there. Nothing on Google (with all spelling options). ?? NVO (talk) 23:39, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Edelhardt Rödelkoffer[edit]

A tag has been placed on Edelhardt Rödelkoffer requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. andy (talk) 23:43, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Tokio bordell[edit]

A tag has been placed on Tokio bordell requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. HaeB (talk) 22:01, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bells[edit]

Bell-ringing of the protstant town church Saint Mary at Homberg/Efze needed to be moved if only because of the mis-spelling of protestant. I decided to move it to User:Noebse/sandbox because there is no precedent for articles about peals of bells. I recommend you to:

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Noebse! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 964 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Nicole Struse - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

AfD nomination of Lori Pfeiffer[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Lori Pfeiffer. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lori Pfeiffer. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:06, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Translating pages[edit]

Hi Noebse, and thanks for adding Jack Langedijk. I'd like to point out though that we need to reference the translation from other language Wikipedias to maintain the GFDL license of the source text. This can either be done by placing {{Translation/ref}} in the External links section (not in References!), or by putting {{Translated page}} on the talk page of the English article. Attacks in the article Germans in Cape Verde[edit]

Warning
Warning

Please do not make personal attacks as you did at Germans in Cape Verde. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images, especially those in violation of our biographies of living persons policy, will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you. June 2010[edit]

This is the only warning you will receive. Your recent vandalism, as you did to Germans in Cape Verde, will not be tolerated. Although vandalizing articles on occasions that are days or weeks apart from each other sometimes prevents editors from being blocked, your continued vandalism constitutes a long term pattern of abuse. The next time you vandalize a page, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia without further notice. Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 23:57, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

So what? Can't I post a sourced article here any more. It's not a wiki, it's adminpedia. --00:47, 23 June 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Diether Krebs Unvergessen.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Diether Krebs Unvergessen.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 04:12, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. A tag has been placed on Knackarsch, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

A disambiguation page with no incoming links. The first link is of questionable relevance in an English-language encyclopedia. The second link does not redirect to a Wikipedia article.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. The article Lucas Hayward has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The only source appears to be self-sourced, and so obscure that alexa doesn't have enough data to evaluate it [1]

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hey, don’t add links to attack websites on a BLP as you did at Winston Sterzel[2]. Thats a violation a half dozen times over. I can only assume you made a mistake and didn’t even visit the content of the website before adding it (of course if you had visited the site and you did know about its comments we would be at ANI right now but I will of course AGF). I don’t think I’ve ever seen a clearer case of WP:COI. Please don’t edit another BLP until you understand our WP:BLP policy. Horse Eye's Back (talk) 16:43, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
