You edited the image at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Tavern.jpg that was associated with the article Rubies of Eventide. The description of the image explicity says and said at the time you made the change that it was a "Screeenshot from the game "Rubies of Eventide". " and the photo you replaced it with does not meet these qualifications. Please do not change images already used in articles unless the new image also meets the image's qualifications. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TVR Enthusiast (talkcontribs) 21:27, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Richard Waldron, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.surfingincognito.com/index.php?q=aHR0cDovL2VuLndpa2lwZWRpYS5vcmcvd2lraS9Vc2VyOlJXSVI%3D. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. The article Vanessa Hillman has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable local singer. Appears to fail WP:MUSIC.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ttonyb (talk) 04:21, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Vanessa Hillman, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vanessa Hillman. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. ttonyb (talk) 04:52, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I've closed this discussion as "delete," but I placed a copy of the article in your user space at User:RWIR/sandbox/Vanessa Hillman so you don't lose your work. If addition sources are located that show notability, the article can be restored. Thanks. Xymmax So let it be written So let it be done 13:28, 27 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the message[edit]

Sorry, didn't mean to be rude but you didn't sign the message you left at my talk page, and it took me a bit to figure out who left it. Yes, I have tried to give somewhat equal weight to the descendants of both Deacon John of Hingham and Thomas of Hampton. They were both interesting characters, while apparently unrelated. Have noticed your work on the New Hampshire folks, and I hope that that continues to go well. MarmadukePercy (talk) 05:50, 11 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free files in your user space[edit]

Hey there RWIR, thank you for your contributions. I am a bot, alerting you that non-free files are not allowed in user or talk space. I removed some files I found on User:RWIR/Thomas Westbrook. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use files to your user-space drafts or your talk page.

Thank you, -- DASHBot (talk) 05:01, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Westbrook image[edit]

Hi, thanks for the message. I'm afraid I'm not the best person to ask about the image question. I tend to upload everything to Commons, and go from there. I haven't had a great deal of experience using 'non-free images' because the rationale for their use is tricky, and I tend to shy away from using them. You might ask someone else, though. I think you might have a hard time justifying use of the image on the article about the man, as odd as that sounds. But as I say, I'm no expert in these matters. Take care. MarmadukePercy (talk) 09:03, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Good images you've added. Also, I didn't realize you were in Vancouver. (Thought you might be in New Hampshire. ;-) ) Vancouver's a great place. Did your family leave the states as Loyalists, if you don't mind my asking? I had quite a number who did, and left for New Brunswick, but who eventually returned. Best, MarmadukePercy (talk) 07:51, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again. If I may make a suggestion, when you upload good images like File:Benning council chambers.JPG, you might want to upload them to Commons instead of to wikipedia. That way more folks have access to the image, and I've found it easier to work with images over there. At first it can be a little intimidating, but I think you'll find that there are some very helpful administrators over there. If you need any help on that, please let me know. Vancouver Wikipedia 10th Anniversary Meetup[edit]

Infobox[edit]

Hi again. Not all articles need infoboxes. In the case of John Leavitt, I think the piece is much better without one. Regards, MarmadukePercy (talk) 07:59, 27 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. I just think that that entry has such strong visuals that an infobox isn't needed and tends to clutter things up. Hope things are good with you. Best, 18:32, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

Pointless[edit]

Please read this re File:Waldron Street.jpg. And read this about reporting permission via OTRS. Also, unless the copyright holder unaccountably insists on fair-use, you should upload to the Commons. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:29, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
