Can you give that exact quote of the source that claims that Old Church Slavonic was created in Thessaloniki? == Edits at Thessaloniki risk getting into ethnic disputes ==

Hello Bakersdozen77. I notice that you've been contributing since 2008 but have not yet been notified of the provisions of the WP:ARBMAC decision. The Arbitration Committee has allowed admins to issue warnings or sanctions to editors who are seen to engage in ethnically-based battleground editing. The provisions of WP:AC/DS apply to this area. The Committee stated:<blockquote>Wikipedia is a project to create a neutral encyclopedia. Use of the site for other purposes—including, but not limited to, advocacy, propaganda, furtherance of outside conflicts, and political or ideological struggle—is prohibited.</blockquote>Please see to it that the discussion at Talk:Thessaloniki#Racist edits??? does not get out of hand. It appears to me that you're the editor who first made the charge of racist editing on that page. The reason that we even *have* an decision called Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Macedonia (also known as ARBMAC) is that the topic of Macedonia is so divisive. Try to use your diplomatic skills to the utmost and you may be able to stay out of trouble in this area. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 03:43, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

Toronto photo

Hi Bakersdozen77. I have reverted the change of photo on the Toronto infobox. According to the WP:BRD, after attempting a change on an article and having it reverted, you should not revert back but rather bring it to the Talk:Toronto discussion page. I have opened a new section there now to discuss which photo is best for the infobox. Cheers! DoubleBlue (Talk) 23:46, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Umo-t-s.png

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Umo-t-s.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

 • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
 • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MBisanz talk 23:11, 10 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Great Job and Thanks

Hey, great job and thanks for starting the Macedonian Church Wikipedia pages. Very well written! Realtycoon (talk) 20:03, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Macedonian Churches

I noticed you've done a lot of hard work on Macedonian churches in Canada. Before you get too far in you should consider that these articles need to establish notability. Cathedrals are inherently notable. An everyday parish church is not usually notable, however, unless there is something notewory about it's architecture or history that reliable sources have written about. Keep in mind that Wikipedia is not a directory, and if these churches are not notable they will be deleted. --Kevlar (talkcontribs) 03:06, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

COA of MPC

Hello. I have been searching for the new COA of MPC-OA for certain time and I have just seen that you have uploaded the new one. Can you give a direct link to MPC's webpage where the COA is published? Thanks --MacedonianBoy (talk) 19:18, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I can remove the background, but converting it to real svg takes some time since it must be redrawn. Thanks. --MacedonianBoy (talk) 19:51, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed the background, but I must upload the picture in PNG format. If I upload it, you need to put delete tag to the JPEG one so we have one picture.--MacedonianBoy (talk) 19:56, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I know that I can upload newer version, but the formats are different. So here is the picture. Regards--MacedonianBoy (talk) 20:01, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Grb-mpc-oa.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Grb-mpc-oa.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

 • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
 • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
 • If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.
 • To opt out of these bot messages, add to your talk page.
 • If you believe the bot has made an error, please turn it off here and leave a message on my owner's talk page.

Thank you. DASHBot (talk) 00:32, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Skopje panorama 2010.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:46, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Dimo Todorovski has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the prod blp tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Nikola Gruevski

Hi BakersDozen, I am just commmenting your recent edits to Nikola Gruevski's page. Is there any evidence that he also identifies as a Ethnic Macedonians of Greece like his father does?, or does he have this kind of personal identity. Just enquiring, many thanks. Thessaloniki bombings

Hello. The only reason I find them to be POV-pushing, is because the issue itself is sensitive and having not one but two pictures on it could be a bit provocative. I have added a paragraph on the various revolutionary activities in Thessaloniki at the time (also included the activities of Greek guerillas), but I believe the image of the sinking of the Ottoman battleship is more appropriate as it is part of the Balkan Wars. You are free to add to the section by the way, I admit I was not well informed at all about it and did a quick search on google books :) --Philly boy92 (talk) 11:58, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Slavic speakers of Greek Macedonia, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Edessa (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
