Revision as of 22:04, 24 July 2005

It is the custom to reward Wikipedia contributors for hard work and due diligence by awarding them barnstars. To give the award to someone, just place the image on their talk page, and say why you've given it. Don't hesitate: be bold!

The concept of the barnstar as a Wiki award was created by SunirShah on MeatballWiki. The concept has since been imported into Wikipedia, and has been awarded numerous times since its introduction in February 2004. Since that time, the concept of the barnstar has become ingrained into the Wikipedia culture.

The following are the barnstars and awards currently in use, in order of creation. If you have any ideas regarding additions to, changes to, or removals from the barnstars on this list, feel free to list it on Wikipedia:Barnstar and award proposals!
