Simon Nessman (born November 5, 1989) is a Canadian model from Courtenay, British Columbia.
Early Life
Nessman was born in Courtenay, British Columbia. The youngest of three children. In late 2006 Nessman was first discoverd as a model after a friend of his sister sent in pictures of him to a local agency in Canada. At the time 18 year old Nessman was still attending high school at Georges P Vanier Secondary and didn't pursue his modeling career until graduating. Stating that graduating wasn't up for debate.
Nessman eventually moved to New York City to begin his modeling career, staying in the city for the next five years. Nessman was an avid player in his schools basketball and rugby teams. With a talent in basketball, Nessman received offers from both The University of The Fraser Valley and Quest University. [2]
As of late 2013, Nessman returned to school in Canada to pursue his college basketball career attending Quest University In Squamish [3]
Career
Nessman is best known as the current face of Giorgio Armani. In addition, he has featured in ad campaigns for Versace, D&G, Givenchy, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Lanvin, Yves Saint Laurent, Barneys, Gap and John Galliano. He was featured in the 2012 music video of Madonna's new song, Girl Gone Wild, as directed by fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
He has walked in shows for Salvatore Ferragamo, Roberto Cavalli, Tommy Hilfiger, Emporio Armani, Viktor & Rolf, Lacoste, DSquared², Narciso Rodriguez and Michael Kors and appeared in Vogue, Details, Numéro, V Man and L'Officiel Hommes.
Stars in A/X Armani Exchange Spring 2011 advertising campaign alongside Clara Alonso, Alejandra Alonso, Marlon Teixeira, and Francisco Lachowski.[4]

In 2011, Nessman was the second most successful male model in the world behind Sean O'Pry on models.com list of the Top 50 international male models.[7] In 2013, Forbes named Nessman Number 3 on there The World's Highest-Paid Male Models list coming in behind David Gandy Number 2, and Sean O'Pry Number 1. [8] In 2014, Nessman was nominated for a Model Of The Year award. [9] As of 2015, Nessman tops the list of Sexiest Men, Top Icons Men, and The Money Guys on Models.com [10]
Personal
He is of half Austrian and half Scottish descent.[citation needed] Nessman dated photographer Gillian Mansonhing-Staples from 2008 to late 2011[11]. Nessman has been in a relashionship with actress Imogen Odette since February of 2012[12]. He divides his time between New York City and British Columbia. Nessman has listed surfing as a passion of his. [13]
