== Rishabh Dubey ==

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Rishabh_Dubey

Hello GSS Sir! I am new to Wikipedia and represent author Rishabh Dubey. Though, my presence here is completely unbiased and neutral. The earlier article was created by an amateur editor, also part of Rishabh's team, and it went unnoticed and unchecked by us. The objective of having a wikipedia page for Rishabh now is not at all promotional or to advertise anything. It is just to create an informative medium for all enquiring about him. He has been featured as the youngest published novelist of India, and has struggled to cross all the barriers of Age and accessibility to create a name for himself in the digital as well as print world. You can go through the references again Sir.
As far as notability is concerned, there are various age-restricted said or unsaid barriers to awards. For example, Sahitya Bhushan is not conferred to people younger than 60 Years of Age as it is an unsaid norm to honour the veterans first. Nevertheless, like you, I consider wikipedia as an unbiased and neutral medium for information. The feat Rishabh has achieved at such a young age counts as notability itself.
I hereby also add a formal apology on behalf of the creator of the said article to Wikipedia. The creation of informative content should be monitored. Thereby, I have removed any sentence even edging on promotional or commendation value. Also, there weren't any undeclared payments in the said creation which was done without the knowledge of Rishabh or his management team. It came to our notice when we saw the changes in the Google Knowledge Panel, which were already being modified on request due to his recent book-launch. Nevertheless, by the time we saw a backlink to Wikipedia, the article was already shifted to drafts. On reading the draft, I immediately grasped the errors which caused a disruption of conformity to protocols on this domain. Please assess the changes made to the article and analyse it considering a young entrepreneur who is already fighting an age-specific criticism in his field on various fronts. There are multiple other references which I would keep updating myself after due review. If possible, it is a heartfelt request that you assess Rishabh and his work in your personal capacity. Thank You for your time.

Nitin Passi

Further update: Hi GSS, removed Proposed for Deletion tag, and edited to answer concerns about number of references. Added The Times, The Telegraph, The Mirror, The Financial Times, amongst others. Very interested to have a discussion about where the line lies on notability, but I think Passi falls on the side of notability -- if anything because he appears notable enough for The Sunday Times, Drapers, etc, to publish personal reporting. ScepticalChymist (talk) 13:12, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi GSS, I have reverted Nitin Passi, and put up a flag for notability to encourage discussion. Argument for notability is his contributions / profile within the UK fashion industry. Feel merit is accorded from the third guideline from WO:BIO, ie, "The person has made a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in his or her specific field." Given that he founded -- and continues to run -- probably the fast growing fashion company in the UK, I think it is didficult not to qualify on that criteria. He also have a substantial media presence. Added a notability tag to encourage debate / discussion. ScepticalChymist (talk) 11:40, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The Iyer Project

Hi GSS, I see that you have moved the page The Iyer Project into the draft section. I have submitted it for review and will wait for it. While you are right that I am involved with the band, however, I have specifically tried to keep the language neutral. The sources mentioned are authentic and credible. Let me know your views and let me know how it can be improved. Cheers (Moulisekaran (talk) 04:48, 5 February 2019 (UTC))[reply]

Dear Vinay Gowda,

The subject is notable and featured on Christian networks. He has been accredited by Creflo Dollar and preaches to the 38th largest megachurch in the country as of 2017. Please do not mess with articles on prominent Christian leaders. May I have the original work for self-review and I will redo this article with sources for credibility? This will be redone neutrally and in an encyclopedic way.

Deletion Discussion : Anil K Reji

Hey

The page Anil K Reji has been nominated for deletion. Kindly let me know what can be done to prevent the deletion.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anil_K_Reji

Valid sources and news articles have been included as references in the article. But it still has been nominated for deletion. Kindly assist me through the walkthrough process of preventing the deletion.

Thanks.

Repeated Reverting on article on "Samiksha Jaiswal".

Respected Sir/Madam,

Please tell why are you repeatedly reverting the article on Samiksha Jaiswal to #Redirect Zindagi Ki Mehek?

@Helpful14: As Barkeep49 mentioned in the edit summary that the subject not yet demonstrated to be notable per WP:NACTOR so please do not revert as it's WP:TOOSOON for this actress to have a separate article. Thank you. GSS (talk|c|em)

Edits made in Ram Awana Page

hi, Thank you for your reply. Whatever changes I made, have video references on youtube or some other sites. Can I not add such references? as Ram Awana is an actor internet is providing only video references. Please suggest what can I do. User:Gazal288 (talk) Thank you, Gazal288

Thank you for leaving a note about my username in possible conflict because it appears to represent a website - just googled it and found a blogger in Seattle... I'm in Washington, DC (the other Washington :-), but I get your point and I don't want to erroneously be associated with whoever that gent in Seattle is, so will ask for a name change request and be safe ---- Appreciate suggestion!

Hi GSS, I am not being directly or indirectly compensated for my edits. So far I have only contributed 2 entries, both on subjects of particular interest to me. In the case of the digital marketing canvas one (still in draft category) I have received other comments concerning style, references and context so I will be making further edits. Anyway, I thank you for pointing out wikipedia policies on the matter. Coquemp (talk) 23:25, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Vijay Kalvani

Hello, respected Sir/Ma'am

Mr. Vijay Kalvani has been named on Forbes celebrity list 2015 , he has been part of several television shows and also a couple of films.

I think Forbes is a pretty good reliable source.

Please let me know your take on that.

Thank you very much. Mortalrahu (talk) 17:13, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not according to the citation given. There's a Vijay Kalwani (notice the different spelling) listed as nominated, but anyone can be nominated. Arguably, a person who was one of the 100 chosen might be notable (but, probably that alone wouldn't be enough), but just nominated? No. I could be nominated and I don't even live in India, nor am I Indian or a celebrity. --Yamla (talk) 17:44, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

DMCC page edits

Hi GSS,

thanks for your comments on the DMCC page. I work with DMCC and they have an issue with their wiki page since November as they someone was asked to go in and update old information and inadvertently added copy that was then tagged as promo/advertising content.

Please can you advise what needs to be done to remove the tags while also having the latest information on the page?

I've been through and added the relevant citations, I've removed the promo copy and cleaned up to comply with policies.

FYI edits made by 94.200.47.110 are also mine.

Would it be possible to revert to this version and I can then suggest some edits? - https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dubai_Multi_Commodities_Centre&oldid=863194937 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Phoenixfrom1973 (talkcontribs) 07:00, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The tags must stay until it meets the standard of WP:NPOV and WP:V. GSS (talk|c|em) 07:14, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have edited the copy to align from NPOV and all relevant citations are included. If you feel that the text is still not NPOV compliant and further citations are needed, then can you please let me know which text and where citations are requirted and I will propose edits accordingly.

User:27.106.115.131 has also made edits aligned with NPOV, but you rolled those back. Paid contribution was disclosed as part of the edits.

— Preceding unsigned comment added by Phoenixfrom1973 (talkcontribs) 07:18, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
First of all, COI and paid editors are not allowed to edit affected articles directly, but they can propose changes on article talk pages instead. The article reads like a corporate profile than an encyclopedia entry and the source you added here wasn't reliable. The 3rd, 4th and 5th section lacks inline citations.

GSS (talk|c|em) 07:31, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Have added citations as requested and removed promotional sounding copy as directed. Have proposed these changes on the article talk page as you instructed. Please advise if any additional issues.

Many thanks. Robert

@Phoenixfrom1973: I know I personally learn best by example, so I tried to make some changes as an example edit. I'm not willing to spend more time sprucing up the article because I have no interest in the subject. However, I do have an interest in the quality of this encyclopedia. GSS is right to warn you about COI and paid editing; it's a thorny subject on a website that purportedly aggregates notable content from a neutral standpoint backed by reliable, third-party sources (again, as GSS pointed out earlier, see WP:NPOV and WP:V). Ramvir_(singer) and Tom Coleman (fitness model)

Hi GSS, first of all thank you for reviewing the articles I recently submitted. Unfortunately both of the articles I submitted has been moved to draft space. However I did not lose hope and will try to make the articles better and try to move it to main space. I would really appreciate if you please put some light on how I should improve these articles before I submit it to AFC. Thank you in advance Sumitpatelster (talk) 18:01, 9 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As per Wikipedia's 'golden rule' the subject of an article needs multiple independent, reliable sources that talk about the subject in-depth. So you need to provide some reliable sources that are independent of the subject and submit it for a review once you are done. Please don't move it back to mainspace yourself until you get a second opinion as to whether it is ready for article space. GSS (talk|c|em) 02:45, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you have asked me to add more references to the articles. I added a lot of references to Tom Coleman's page, still it has been decline by you without leaving any comment? Did you see those references? What else I can add or remove? Could you please suggest. Waiting for your reply. Sumitpatelster (talk) 04:31, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please Remove the Move Protection Block and then Move Draft:Dj Goz page back to Dj Goz in the Article Namespace

Hi GSS,

I created an article about this artist/producer known as "Dj Goz" that i saw perform a couple of years ago when i visited the university of Idaho. I then did some research to learn more about him, liked what he has done for other artists in Idaho and in Africa, and wanted to write an article about him to let the world know about him and his work.

I am not directly or indirectly being compensated by him or anyone on his behalf, i just want to share this article with the world.

Please remove the block and publish the oage in the Article namespace. I provided the references about him and citations that i have been able to gather so far, for notability, and i am sure other people will add more as they find the article about him.

Thank you for your understanding and sorry for the confusion.

Frank Fitzpatrick

Hey there. I noticed you put a paid edit as part of the issues on the Frank Fitzpatrick Article. I do not believe this is necessary now, given the Talk page now has the full and proper disclosure linking back to my Userpage, and that such declarations do not exist on other pages I have been paid for, such as Amit Sharma (director), Health Australia Party, and Autotrader.com. It'd be great to know what the difference is here, as I do not believe the article is written from an non-NPOV - like the others - although I would appreciate a second pair of eyes. Thanks. MrMarkBGregory (talk) 10:47, 28 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@MrMarkBGregory: Both templates are different. The article sounds promotional to me, and I feel a number of references are also not reliable. Pinging @Winged Blades of Godric and SamHolt6: who I believe have very good knowledge on paid editing. Thank you. GSS (talk|c|em) 11:01, 28 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent, thank you. I'm very happy to discuss this issue further and remedy. Feel free to transfer this discussion to the article's talk page. MrMarkBGregory (talk) 11:19, 28 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@MrMarkBGregory:@GSS: I am inclined to maintain the template in question. The article has several issues with it that should be addressed. For one, the primary sources from Huffpost ([1], [2]) need to be replaced or the content they are supporting removed; the same goes for the PRWeb source and IMDB, as the former is unreliable and the latter's bio entry was written by one of Fitzpatrick's companies. Furthermore, some of the article's content seems to be somewhat superfluous namedropping—the single-sentence "early life" subheading and the first sentence under the "Songwriter and Music Producer" subheading are the worst culprits from what I can see. Lastly, a neutral editor should commence a cleanup of the article and search for more sources so that article provides neutral view of the subject; looking at the history of the article, every single major addition of content has been done by either an SPA or a paid editor, and as such the article may be unbalanced by virtue of purposely-excluded coverage; this last point is secondary to the previous points, but should still be entertained. Best.--SamHolt6 (talk) 15:10, 28 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@GSS and SamHolt6: Thanks for your honest and thorough feedback. Many of the concerns you have raised I had also raised with Fitzpatrick while we were working on the article; I had suggested a much cleaner version of the page which I may now revert back to. For the record, I have already been paid, so any further edits to make this article as reliable and useful as possible are done from my own desire to have a good quality article here, so I hope we can assume good faith from here on in that regard. I will address the issues raised above, and examine the sources once again to see if it can be further tidied. Thanks again. MrMarkBGregory (talk) 16:58, 28 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @GSS:, I made that move but I didn't mean to vandalize the article, all I was wanted that Shaktimaan deserves a separate article than just the TV show as other superheroes have their own individual fictional character article so I moved the original article to new page with redirect because I don't know how to move without leaving redirect. you did moved back but you didn't revert my edits so I did that now. Shaktimaan please check it's Biography section that was remained undone because I created a separate article for Fictional Biography of the character. -- MrZINE | talk 09:28, 1 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Reversion of Article "SmartBuyGlasses Optical Group" to draft

Hello, GSS I am aware of the WP:3RR and I want to just clearly understand what's wrong with the article mentioned. You made the first reversion without any comment and on our discussion you only raised the issue about my disclosure of whether I had been compensated for the piece and I cleared the issue. The second reversion you just mentioned the draft is not ready and requested me to follow the AfC submission process. I just want to clearly understand what needs to be done or whats missing.

New pages

Hello! I recently created a couple pages (Sabrina Kemeny, Paul Outlaw, and Nightfood). I was wondering if you could look them over and give me some feedback or pointers. I have a few more that I'm planning to write, but I want to make sure that I'm choosing notable enough subjects and I'm going in the right direction. Thanks a lot! Deleting the page

So what have you decided shujaat (talk) 09:54, 4 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Syedishujaat: You need to disclose your relationship with "Anadika Guleria Azaad" and others you have written about or else you will be reported at WP:COIN for not following the terms of uses. See WP:DISCLOSE. GSS (talk|c|em) 11:25, 4 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Rose Funja

Hello GSS. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Rose Funja, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: not completely promotional (can be cleaned up without a substantial rewrite) / claims significance. Thank you. SoWhy 15:37, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please participate to the talk pages consultation

Hello

Our team at the Wikimedia Foundation is working on a project to improve the ease-of-use and productivity of wiki talk pages. As a Teahouse host, I can imagine you’ve run into challenges explaining talk pages to first-time participants.

We want all contributors to be able to talk to each other on the wikis – to ask questions, to resolve differences, to organize projects and to make decisions. Communication is essential for the depth and quality of our content, and the health of our communities. We're currently leading a global consultation on how to improve talk pages, and we're looking for people that can report on their experiences using (or helping other people to use) wiki talk pages. We'd like to invite you to participate in the consultation, and invite new users to join too.

We thank you in advance for your participation and your help.

Pailwaan page redirect revert request

FreeVoicer (talk) 07:33, 12 March 2019 (UTC) The page "Pailwaan" is redirected to another page because it was created during pre production stage. I apologise for overlooking the norms. Now that the film is in post production stage, it could go live. Kindly help me through this process. Thank You.[reply]

Now what did you find in this? AhamBrahmasmi (talk) 07:01, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

NPR Newsletter No.17

Hello GSS,

News
Discussions of interest
  • Two elements of CSD G6 have been split into their own criteria: R4 for redirects in the "File:" namespace with the same name as a file or redirect at Wikimedia Commons (Discussion), and G14 for disambiguation pages which disambiguate zero pages, or have "(disambiguation)" in the title but disambiguate a single page (Discussion).
  • {{db-blankdraft}} was merged into G13 (Discussion)
  • A discussion recently closed with no consensus on whether to create a subject-specific notability guideline for theatrical plays.
  • There is an ongoing discussion on a proposal to create subject-specific notability guidelines for chemicals and organism taxa.
Reminders
  • NPR is not a binary keep / delete process. In many cases a redirect may be appropriate. The deletion policy and its associated guideline clearly emphasise that not all unsuitable articles must be deleted. Redirects are not contentious. See a classic example of the templates to use. More templates are listed at the R template index. Reviewers who are not aware, do please take this into consideration before PROD, CSD, and especially AfD because not even all admins are aware of such policies, and many NAC do not have a full knowledge of them.
NPP Tools Report
  • Superlinks – allows you to check an article's history, logs, talk page, NPP flowchart (on unpatrolled pages) and more without navigating away from the article itself.
  • copyvio-check – automatically checks the copyvio percentage of new pages in the background and displays this info with a link to the report in the 'info' panel of the Page curation toolbar.
  • The NPP flowchart now has clickable hyperlinks.

following up on your message

Hi GSS, I'm following up on the message you left on my talk page. Do you know what has become/will become of the article I wrote about Natalie Brown (Author)? As I stated, this wasn't a paid job for me. I am just a fan and was motivated to start a page about something I like. I'd be grateful for your follow-up and/or advice. NPR Newsletter No.18

Hello GSS,

WMF at work on NPP Improvements

Niharika Kohli, a product manager for the growth team, announced that work is underway in implementing improvements to New Page Patrol as part of the 2019 Community Wishlist and suggests all who are interested watch the project page on meta. Two requested improvements have already been completed. These are:

  • Allow filtering by no citations in page curation
  • Not having CSD and PRODs automatically marked as reviewed, reflecting current consensus among reviewers and current Twinkle functionality.
Reliable Sources for NPP

Rosguill has been compiling a list of reliable sources across countries and industries that can be used by new page patrollers to help judge whether an article topic is notable or not. At this point further discussion is needed about if and how this list should be used. Please consider joining the discussion about how this potentially valuable resource should be developed and used.

Backlog drive coming soon

Look for information on the an upcoming backlog drive in our next newsletter. If you'd like to help plan this drive, join in the discussion on the New Page Patrol talk page.

Hello GSS The article you deleted back in 2017 I think now it's passing the policies for WP:BLP so I'm creating the same article for Acto who clearly passes WP:NACTOR and has more than 2 release. as the lead in Marathi Films. --Siddharth 🤙🏻 Talk To Me!! 09:28, 26 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi can you please explain why are you moved kritika sharma (actress) to draft:Kritika Sharma Goodd-002 (chatme) 14:03, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Goodd-002: First of all, you need to stop recreating salted articles under different titles and you must see WP:PAID and WP:SOCK. GSS (talk|c|em) 14:14, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@GSS: - I am sorry sir I have know idea about it but yes you are right kritika sharma was created by multiple times and many users try to create it and also deleted by many times Iam sorry for it Goodd-002 (chatme) 14:22, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Reply added about sks sockpuppet block

Yes sir my few edits seem good because before I start editing on Wikipedia I read editing policy of Wikipedia. Goodd-002 (chatme) 09:17, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@GSS: Yes, my English is not good at all. That's why you would have missed XML and Tk Allowed by watching my English, but I am not SKS. Goodd-002 (chatme) 12:19, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@GSS: Also I want to let you know that I have try to read Wikipedia policies, but Even then I make such a big mistake Goodd-002 (chatme) 12:25, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello GSS, Today I found that the article Rathish Ambat has redirected to Kammara Sambhavam, according to WP:GNG and WP:CREATIVE.

I created the article because I believe the article is eligible to be in Wikipedia according to clause 3 of WP:GNG, "The person has created or played a major role in co-creating a significant or well-known work or collective body of work." and he has got significant coverage in independent reliable sources according to WP:CREATIVE can be seen here.

I know the article was deleted once before for undisclosed paid editing, and I want to state that I am not associated or compensated by anyone for the edits. The image which was used in the article was a cropped version of a photo I shot myself. I would like to work on the article.

Please advise how to improve the article so that It can be published.

Svar012 (talk) 07:01, 1 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Svar012: Per your comment above The image which was used in the article was a cropped version of a photo I shot myself you need to see WP:COIEDIT. If you believe the subject is notable enough for an entry in Wikipedia please create a draft article and submit it for a review. For more see WP:AfC. Thank you. GSS (talk|c|em) 07:34, 1 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Rathish Ambat

Hi, your bold redirect of the above article, which I agree with, has been challenged by another editor so the correct procedure is to take it to AFD rather than revert, regards Atlantic306 (talk)

  • @Atlantic306: I have removed most of the unsourced material so please feel free to add back if you find any reliable source and I will wait for a few days to see any improvements if no then AfD. Thank you. GSS (talk|c|em) 16:02, 1 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of information on citation backlog

Hey GSS, you recently made a major rollback to some content that I added to the citation backlog in the Graveyard Keeper article [3]. Following your edit, you made an edit to Operation Bluestar [4], another article that you joined after me. It appears as though you've taken a particular position on the rebel group in Operation Bluestar, and you found the Graveyard Keeper article through my user page or contribution history. I would like to inform you that while it's not entirely inappropriate to follow me into an unrelated article, you should be careful not to do anything that could be misconstrued as WP:HOUNDING. I'm only making a point to say this because of run-ins with another editor. Your edit seemed fairly innocent, besides, I am mostly avoiding all that political edit-war-prone nonsense at the moment.

I guess, having played Graveyard Keeper, I am aware that the the information you removed was accurate and covered by press. A quick Google search should confirm the Switch announcement, gameplay description, and the DLC description. Honestly, I should go in there and add the citations myself *shrug*.

Anyway, cheers. --Elephanthunter (talk) 21:12, 2 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Elephanthunter: I am not hounding you. Operation Bluestar was in my watchlist and I found Graveyard Keeper after I saw an advertisement on Upwork.com, not from your contribution or userpage. GSS (talk|c|em) 01:02, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Upwork doesn't have advertisements aside from the freelance work, and a search of Upwork did not reveal jobs for the video game Graveyard Keeper 🤨 I do not think you were trying to hound me. Your edit was to remove unsourced content, which seemed reasonable and in good faith. I'm just giving you a heads-up about Wikipedia rules. --Elephanthunter (talk) 03:45, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Well I call them adverts. Anyways I have shared the details of that job post with a few admins and I hope they will investigate soon. I'm very much aware of rules and policies and I have no interest in hounding you and why I would? Just for your information, someone from the company was looking for freelancers to promote and update Graveyard Keeper and related pages. GSS (talk|c|em) 03:58, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Rishabh Dubey

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Rishabh_Dubey
