Amrita Bharati
Amrita Bharati (Full Name: Amrita Bharati Panda) is an Indian Playback Singer from Odisha. She is a young and promising new talent, she has made thousands of fans across the globe through her YouTube channel. She can sing in variety of languages including English, Hindi, Odia, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil and Punjabi. She was in top twelve of Sony Tv Indian Idol Season 6 and in top fifteen of Zeetv Saregamapa 2018.[1][2] Amrita is a YouTuber now with a big fan base. Her singing debut in Ollywood was in 2012 and Bollywood in 2019.[3]
Personal Life
Amrita Bharati completed her degree in economics from Rama Devi Women's University, Bhubaneswar in 2013.[4] She has perused vocal training in Indian Classical Music (Visharad) under Pandit RajKishore Pandav and Odissi Vocal under Pandit Sukanta Kumar Kundu and Anshuman Bhattacharya. She is a AIR(All India Radio) artist from 2010.[5][6]
Career
Amrita Bharati singing career started from the age of 5, she participated in lot of reality shows which gave her a lot of exposure to the world of music.She was the runners up of Hero Honda Surtarang National Singing Talent Hunt Competition in 2005, she has been judged by Kumar Sanu and Penaz Masani. In 2007 she participated in Zeetv saregamapa little champ and got in top fifty. She has been the runners up of Big Super Singer National Level Singing Competition conducted by 92.7 BigFm in 2008. She is a recipient of prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Youth Singer and Surtarang Award in 2010. Amrita also won the Voice of Bhubaneswar Singing talent competition which was conducted by Rotary Club in 2010.[7]
Amrita Bharati was also judged as the runners up in Voice of Odisha Season 1 conduted by Tarang Tv in 2011.[8]
In 2012, Amrita got selected for "Indian Idol Season 6", a musical reality show conducted by Sony Tv, which gave her a national exposure and has been appreciated a lot by the judges Salim Merchant, Anu Malik, Sunidhi Chauhan and Asha Bhosle.[9]
Amrita is a well known youtuber across the globe. She stared her YouTube journey with covers of well known Bollywood songs such as Mere Naam Tu, Teri Mitti, Dilbaro, Tareefan, Bandeya and many more. Her songs got viral and opened up a lot of opportunity to perform across the country.[10]
Amrita made her Ollywood singing debut in 2012 in Movie Mun (Odia Movie). Later on she has sang for many Odia movies such as Sandehi Priyatama, Raasta, Sundergarh Ra Salman Khan, Tuh Kahide I love you. She has been awarded with Best Female Singer 2016 by Cinema Sansar & Showtime for her title song of Movie Raasta.[11]
Amrita made her Bollywood singing debut in 2019 in a music video "Vande Mataram" produced by Zee Music on Patriotism. She has lend her voice in the song along with Hemant Brijwasi, Salman Ali, Aneek Dhar, Raja Hasan, Nitin Kumar, Rahul Bhatt and Purusarth Jain.[12][13]
In 2017, Amrita has released a music video "Papa Ki Pari" on the occasion of Fathers Day, dedicating to all the fathers of the world.[14]
In 2018, Amrita was awarded the prestigious "Parampara Award" by Shri Harsh Vardhan at New Delhi on the occasion of Teacher’s Day.[15][16][17][18]
Amrita has a keen interest for social cause. She has performed for many NGO's awareness program such as "musical show for education of underprivileged girls, musical show for cancer survivors, wash Odisha campaign and many more".[19][20][21]
