Hi there, i have removed the edits done by Throast and popski because they are malicious and defimitory.
This is to settle score with Ryan because of a lawsuit again Ethan Klein of H3 podcast (Throast).
They had contracted me with trolling him which i feel is not right.
Kindly revert my changes. [[User:H2H3fanbase2TP|H2H3fanbase2TP]] ([[User talk:H2H3fanbase2TP|talk]]) 08:54, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

Berman -- I'm new!

Thank you for your note about the Berman article. This was my first edit and I didn't add a summary change. I edited it because the article used the "n-word" written in full, so I rephrased it to take out the slur, and added also added a citation that was lacking. I reverted your revert, but please let me know if that wasn't considered proper etiquette. Thank you! Extension23 — Preceding undated comment added 14:25, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Matthew Olshefski

You need to stop Censoring the changes that are being made to the Shirtless Violinist wiki everything that is being changed is 100000% the truth about Matthew Olshefski and Paul Castle keep changing it and I will file a complaint against you. I have interviewed people who they have hurt and everything that is posted about him being in a cult comes from his mouth he went on live TV to talk about his past and you go and delete the truth about someone they hurt and betrayed. A barnstar for you!

The Original Barnstar
Many thanks for amending the Neovenator page for me. My small contribution was collected over a two week period but was not recognised as important until I showed my finds to Dr Phil Manning [Professor of Paleontology at the College of Charleston in South Carolina and Professor of Natural History at the University of Manchester (UK).] He immediately recognised them as from the thereopod Neoventator and contacted Steve Hutt at the Dinosaur Isle Museum, Although fragmentary they indicate an animal much bigger than the holotype and the possibility the site was a 'predator trap' given this was the fourth individual from a relatively small area. Pliosaur68 (talk) 14:36, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Pliosaur68: Thanks for the barnstar! Interesting find. Are you a trained archeologist? What school? My sister-in-law hunts fossils as a semi-hobby. She and her husband buy and sell them at Tuscon and in the Sacramento area. Thanks again! Adakiko (talk) 00:44, 4 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

In defense of Ligers

I have a very valid reason to remove info from the Liger article. You see the article talks about Panthera Hybrids being susceptible to "diseases". This is obvious evidence that Wikipedians hate Ligers. For starters, this animal rights groups never gave any actual evidence of weather they did had diseases or not. Second, this is in reference to the Liger, not Panthera hybrids as a whole. Third, they stated that only with captive animals, but they never said anything about wild Panthera hybrids. Not to mention that sayin g that Lions cannot breed with Tigers is incorrect. Its scientifically confirmed that all species within the same genus are able to be attracted, mate and successfully crossbreed. There is also evidence that Panthera hybrids where very common in ancient times:https://markgelbart.wordpress.com/tag/tiger-x-snow-leopard-hybrid/. Not to mention you gave a reference to Carol Bazkin, who has a reputation of being hypocritical for saying that she did not want to see big cats in captivity yet she does exactly the same. Not to mention there is the possibility she feed her husband to tigers. There is also evidence that Humans mated with Neanderthals, this is no different from Panthera hybrids. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 56FireLeafs (talkcontribs) 08:01, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

About the European Bon

The page talks about how the european bison was SUPPOSEDELY a hybrid even though there is evidence that its result of incomplete lineage sorting during divergence of Bos and Bison from their common ancestors and that the European Bison is the descendant of Bison Shoenski, and the fact that the steppe bison lived alongside the european bison. But even more, there is evidence that breeding bos with bison has result in genetic pollution of bison. 56FireLeafs 7:15 January 17 2022 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 56FireLeafs (talkcontribs) 00:21, 18 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of false, libelous, and retracted reference

The revisions which were just made to "Young Warriors" aka "Graduates of Malibu High" are accurate. The LA Times article referenced was false and libelous and retracted by the publication. The source of the false and libelous information was the subject of a lawsuit which was settled with compensation and a written statement stating that the information provided to the LA Times was false and inaccurate. Please do not undo the legitimate revision. CineMG (talk) 07:17, 18 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@CineMG To help everyone here, please link to a published retraction and ensure it is available to those who appear oblivious to it. Without it, we only have your word. Nick Moyes (talk) 14:55, 18 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

After becoming more familiar with Wikipedia policies I understand the reasons for your concerns and undoing my edits. I certainly had no intention of creating an edit war. The intention is to remove defamatory content which was discredited and the false claims acknowledged and reversed in writing by the perpetrator. The newspaper article containing the false and defamatory content was linked to multiple Wikipedia subjects. I will gladly locate and provide the substantiating references and documentation to support the need for my edits on the pages of the affected subjects. The statement - which follows - by @ToBeFree on another Adakiko section is directly relevant here: "In most cases, when someone explicitly complains about "defamatory content", that's a good point to stop reverting and to thoroughly analyze the situation. Even if you are completely convinced that the material a) qualifies for inclusion in the article (WP:UNDUE may be a concern), and b) is completely perfectly verifiable: Even then, we should wonder whether it's really worth insisting on keeping the material." Thank you for your attention to this matter CineMG (talk) 02:55, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What content do you consider as "This article contains content that is written like an advertisement. (January 2022)"? Why did you add that the Church Background section has no citation when there is a citation already added. - EarlneyZ (talk)

@Adakiko: You have to answer my question so it can be fixed. What content do you consider as advertisement? Why did you add that the Church Background section has no citation when there is a citation already added? EarlneyZ (talk) 11:34 AM, Friday, January 28, 2022 (UTC)
@EarlneyZ: The article had content that was written in a promotional matter. That was cleaned up, so I removed it. You had removed the tag without indicating that it had been remedied, so I replaced it.
I appear to have missed the citation, so I thought the section was unsourced. I removed the unsourced section tag. Adakiko (talk) 11:46, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The Death Of Jimi Hendrix

Hi Adakiko, The information that I tried to add to the page is from an email from CG to Dr. Seifert. It can be viewed in full on my research page about the death of JH (the link is at the bottom of the Death Of Jimi Hendrix page). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Georgesdelatour345 (talkcontribs) 13:55, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Georgesdelatour345: Which link? The fan guide? If it's an email, how would one determine its authenticity? Adakiko (talk) 20:13, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Adakiko: One would have to trust the source of course. It makes sense though, seeing that Hendrix was rushed to the Resuscitation Room - something that is never done with long dead bodies. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Georgesdelatour345 (talkcontribs) 21:37, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Old Spanish Fort Edits

Hi Adakiko, Thanks for the helpful links and reminders. I have a particular passion for a couple of topics that I want to make sure are described accurately in WP and so I’ve recently made some edits and additions to two articles. I don’t expect that I will be doing a host of other edits on other pages. Was your letter in direct reference to the edits I had made? If so did you have specific recommendations for corrections?

One of the edits was to satisfy a “citation needed” which I did. Unfortunately, I managed to insert duplicate references and am not sure how to remove one. Nor do I know how to have the “citation needed” removed.
Also, how do you cite the page and para where the specific supporting text can be found in that reference?

Edits by 34.19g.63.41

Thanks for your help in limiting the damage caused by 34.19g.63.41, a suspected sockpuppet of Sauraved. One note, however: WP:INDICSCRIPT "only applies to articles that are predominantly India-related and is excluded from, among others, articles about ... any of India's neighbouring countries." In other words, it doesn't apply to predominantly Bangladesh-related articles, in which it is common to display the native name in Bengali script in the lead and/or the infobox. --Worldbruce (talk) 07:14, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Worldbruce: Thanks for pointing that out. I had gotten it into my head they were Indian articles. I think I've restored most or all of the Bengali names. Two steps forward, one and a half back. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 07:53, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I saw your message about deleting my addition to the Machiavellianism page because I didn't have a citation. I in fact added the citation in the last sentence. Editing the article on inferential confusion

Hi Adakiki, You recently left a message on my talk page about my article. I wanted to check with you if your message was because you felt my references weren't reliable? Because I tried to make sure all the references I used were peer reviewed and had a good impact factor, so can you please let me know what else I can do to improve this aspect. Also I made sure none of my sentences were copy pasted so can you please let me know what you felt is copy pasted so I can work on that, thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Roosmuff (talkcontribs) 11:38, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Roosmuff: That was simply a welcome page with some useful sources. No issues there.
Please avoid wp:primary sources even though they are peer-reviewed. See WP:SCHOLARSHIP. Peer-viewed doesn't guarantee that the content is valid; just indicates those few reviewers didn't spot any issues; if they even read the paper and/or looked at the data. Lots of peer-viewed papers that are relegated to the dust-bin or even retracted. Especially those that question Einstein. ;o) It is preferable to uses secondary sources such as a meta analysis published by a reliable publisher. See wp:reliable sources and WP:RSP. I did a lot more than remove dead links. The article is full of spammy peacock content and most of the footnotes that weren't dead were primary sources from J&B's own website. It's been marked for maintenance for years now, and you're going to put all that back w/o even looking at what I did? Just Another Cringy Username (talk) 21:52, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Just Another Cringy Username: I have no problem with your removal of the peacock/coi material. Regarding the other material: See wp:KDL. Also, see Template:Citation needed#How to respond to this tag. e.g. don't delete just because it's tagged. A number of the citation needed tags were just added. It's best to remove content in chucks rather than all at once. It allows for selective reverts. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 21:58, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It is appreciated that an expert edit an article. Regarding using your own expertise, please see wp:No original research. Per wp:verifiability (WP:V), content must wp:cite a wp:reliable resource (RS). People often want to look for further information or check on the validity of content. Unfortunately, "2001:8A0:7F0F:4F00:1977:AC51:5105:A159" doesn't say much about your expertise, so please cite RS.
Also, please note the article is poorly sourced, or the existing sources appear inadequate. It would be appreciated if someone were to add more citations. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 19:22, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Adakiko. Thanks for your correction, but the external link I have added is informational and contains a page where people can find different types of Centrifugal pumps with useful information and videos. Is that inappropriate for an encyclopedia?

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EditorTiHa (talkcontribs) 06:25, 18 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@EditorTiHa: When much of the page is about chatting, calling, or requesting a quote. I disagree. If you want another viewpoint, ask at the wp:Teahouse. Please include the link: ttps://hvhindustrial.com/sub-category/centrifugal-pumps with your question. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 06:30, 18 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Mkhitar Heratsi

Dear Adakiko, I have translated a part of the text from this page - Մխիթար Հերացի from Armenian to English. If the article on https://hy.wikipedia.org/ is someone's opinion, then I will agree with you, but it's a wiki page and contains historical information from the life of Mkhitar Heratsi, so sorry, but again, I don't agree with you again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EditorTiHa (talkcontribs) 06:32, 18 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Greshun De Bouse Page Book Inclusion

Thank you for the tip on the book inclusion. The book is on Amazon/Kindle, which is why I originally used the url. Please provide a specific example of how to cite the book according to wikipedia standards. Thank you.Sbhpost (talk) 10:21, 19 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Sbhpost: See Template:Cite book#Examples About six examples down will bring you to an example with an ISBN: "Citing a chapter in a book with two joint authors and an editor" You can also use template:ISBN or template:ASIN independently with the format ISBN 0-8125-3635-5 or for Greshun De Bouse's book ASIN B093FJ2WTG (look at with the editor or click on to see its function). Cheers Adakiko (talk) 10:38, 19 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the book citing information. Also, please review the article for information that may read like an advertisement, and for improvements on reference citing. The topic is notable and I would like to improve the page according to standards. Sbhpost (talk) 10:42, 19 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You are welcome. I am more of an wp:RCP kind of editor... Short attention span. You might check out articles on other activists. See Category:American activists.
Please thread talk and don't start a new section unless it's a new topic. See help:talk pages and wp:talk page guidelines. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 10:47, 19 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I am new here, and attempting to learn how this all works. Another user asked that we start a new section to reply to messages, and I thought that was the format. Sbhpost (talk) 10:57, 19 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Sbhpost: You did fine. You didn't need to start a second section. I merged the two sections. Got it right the third time. Do thread / indent your talk though; it helps with readability. WP:INDENT Cheers Adakiko (talk)

Why do you remove my edit even though I added a cition source ??? 2603:6011:AB01:ABA:E486:72A8:D131:9E2C (talk) 06:47, 20 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Did you read how to add a citation to a Wikipedia article? Adakiko (talk) 06:50, 20 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

General Armstrong

Just seen your revision although his original citation is what I Originally had this is fine.

The reason I had that version up is I am still trying to confirm what unit he was with when he received the DSC as it was in August of 1943 he would have been the commanding general of the first Bombardment wing.

I don't know how to link the original citations I have as they are PDFs 2603:6011:AB01:ABA:E486:72A8:D131:9E2C (talk) 10:19, 20 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

NaPTAN edit

Hello Adakiko,

Thank you for your message - that was the first time I’ve made a Wikipedia edit so I didn’t think to explain it.

However, the edit should stand. I removed a link to website which no longer exists, and which will be confusing to readers if they click the link and get redirected to an error. I work in the Department for Transport on the NaPTAN team, and there are a number of other edits that need to be made to the Wikipedia page. Do I need to explain every one? If so, how should I do this?

Best wishes,

Lucy 167.98.171.170 (talk) 12:47, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There are archive sites that may have a copy. https://archive.org is one. wp:List of web archives on Wikipedia Per wp:KDL (keep dead links), a dead link is left as that indicated the content was verifiable at one time. You can add a {{dl|Date=February 2022}}.
It is usually a good idea to leave an wp:edit summary. That can help find edits by browsing the wp:page history. Also good if you've added content where a nearby citation supports your edit or if there may be a misunderstanding as to why you have made the edit. A wp:POV type of edit for instance.
Hope this helps! Cheers Adakiko (talk) 19:58, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Maschsee

Please check the dimensions of the maschsee (max length = 2.4 km, max width 0.5 km, avarage depth = 2 m, surface area = 0.78 km³ = 780 000 m³) with the volume stated on the english page (160 000m³) and you will see that there is missing a "0". Also 1 600 000m³ is the value of the germam wikipedia page for the maschsee. --217.6.221.68 (talk) 11:06, 25 February 2022 (UTC) best wishes from Hannover, Olaf[reply]

A "lake" that is a cross consisting of two channels 2.4km x 1 metre wide and one a 0.5km x 1 meter x 2 metre average depth would have a volume of 5,800 m³. Shall I change it to that value? That fits the criteria.
Without a citation (which I added), it is very difficult to verify a value. I also tagged the article for lacking footnotes. Please see help:referencing for beginners and wp:verifiability as to why citations are needed. Making Wikipedia verifiable would be helpful. David A. R. White

Hi,

I was the one that was trying to edit the David A. R. White page. Sorry about the external link deal. I'm kind of new to editing and I was just trying to make it more clear. I was going to the original link say "archive" and adding the latest link to replace it. Why did you revert it and why is it "inappropriate for an encyclopedia"?

Also, I added more info on David White in the info box. Did you mean to remove that? I thought it would make more sense to put that info there.

Clone Hero page developer section

Yeah, it is incorrect that Ryan Foster and Matthew Sitton are the developers of Clone Hero. Matthew is the lead developer, and Ryan Foster is the creator, but the game is developed by a bigger team, there are more coders, and a bunch of artists, and they are often referred as "CH Team" which is what I added as it is correct. You can check this by going into the official CH discord server where you can see every member of the CH Team. They also have, in the official Clone Hero website news section; 2 news regarding the team, 1 for the Art Team and 1 for the Coding Team. As they are publicly referred as the "CH Team" that's what the developer name is.

In any case, revert your last change to that so it's fixed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.5.207.78 (talk) 03:39, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don't care who developed it as long as the edit wp:cites a wp:reliable source (RS). Per wp:PROVEIT, the onus is on you to properly cite it. Adakiko (talk) 03:44, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I get where you are coming from, but you are also not giving a source that says that only Ryan and Matthew developed it, so we are on the same page, by that criteria neither you nor I should have credited "CH Team" and "Ryan and Matthew", in any case, here you have the two news from the official Clone Hero website that lists all the members of the team, both the coders and the artists (and even then, there are more coders, as you can see in their discord server and the news I'm linking here).

Coders: https://clonehero.net/2019/06/16/a-look-on-the-line.html

Which cites Srylain (Ryan Foster) and Matthew as TWO of the coders in the team, not the ENTIRE coding team.

Artists: https://clonehero.net/2019/04/28/a-sight-to-behold.html

The team has changed over the time, and more people has been added and some people has left, so it's pretty clear that CH team is the way to credit them, as it is how they have been calling themselves for years, unless you want to cite every single one of the team members in the developer section of the page. You tell me.

Also, the wiki is not a reliable source of information as it was discontinued in 2019. And even by following the wiki, there are, again, way more than 2 developers.

At this point you might want a screenshot of one of the developers confirming what I'm saying (which I can get), otherwise I don't understand what more reliable sources you want to not keep undoing the changes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.29.47.16 (talk) 20:50, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

FYI: repeated reverting is called wp:Edit warring. We are expected to discuss things, reach wp:Consensus, then make changes per consensus. See wp:dispute resolution and wp:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle (BRD). The state of the page should remain in the original state until consensus is reached.
This discussion probably should be held on talk:Clone Hero.
How do you find a list of developers? If it's on the game's credits as a list of developers, you can cite the game itself. You need to add the citation to your edit. People wanting to check it out are not going to look at the wp:edit summaries. It is best to avoid blogs, wp:self-published sources, and use secondary sources.
To cite the game, just add something like <ref>Clone Hero V1.1 game credits</ref> Don't copy from the editor, the nowiki stuff shouldn't be copied. If it's more complicated, such as a web source, use the {{cite web}} wp:template. See help:referencing for beginners. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 00:32, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you had looked carefully, you would have noticed at the bottom of the page, Agrell's paper on Deerite, Howieite and Zussmanite. Agrell is someone I knew personally, and I did a mineral trade with him when I was doing postdoctoral work under the future Sir Alan Battersby, 1973-1975. The story about how they were named he told me in person. I still have the Deerite, Howieite and Zussmanite specimens he traded to me. Indeed, he even traded to me a specimen of Agrellite, several years before the mineral was officially described and published. (I have since built a considerable Kipawa suite, the largest agrellite weighing about 28 pounds.) Years later, I got to visit the Laytonville locality myself, and collected heavily. Zussmanite was nowhere to be found on the outcrop, but in the gravel road at the base, near the highway, some zussmanite appeared. Then I noticed a huge boulder of it, weighing at least 150 pounds, more than I could lift, let alone carry across a highway. My hammer bounced off the boulder, and I got a few chips. One year later, again driving home from the Tucson mineral show towards Vancouver where I was living at the time, I found the boulder still there, untouched by anyone since my last visit. With daylight fast fading in the late afternoon, I drove North to Laytonville, where there was a general store. The store sold sledge hammers. I bought one and headed south back to the rock. Two or three taps of the sledgehammer reduced it to portable pieces, all of which I still own. Probably some of the largest zussmanite specimens in captivity. John B. Paine III, Ph.D. ex Harvard (organic chemistry) PS: I would recommend you return what I wrote to the article. I have posted heavily to Wikipedia before. I also strongly disagree with putting in citations for everything, if something is being written by an expert. Important knowledge will otherwise get lost. Please see wp:no original research: Wikipedia does not publish original thought. All material in Wikipedia must be attributable to a reliable, published source. Articles may not contain any new analysis or synthesis of published material that serves to reach or imply a conclusion not clearly stated by the sources themselves. Content on Wikipedia needs to be wp:verifiable (WP:V). Your personal knowledge would be considered "original research" It is not verifiable (unless you want to be on-call 24/7 to answer questions /s). Agrell's papers would be considered a wp:primary source. Wikipedia prefers secondary, or preferably, tertiary sources. If you wish to add a citation, see help:Referencing for beginners. Morgan Ortagus page

The edit I made to Morgan Ortagus’ page was based on my first hand knowledge of the Ortagus family. I added her two sister’s names. I could also I add that her father goes by Ronnie and is a recovered alcoholic, she had a dog named Napoleon who was spoiled rotten and while her youngest sister Marissa laid in a hospital bed shot all Morgan cared about was that another dog ate Napoleon’s toy. I’ve been to her parents house and have met most of her family in Polk County. Desiderata86 (talk) 13:04, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"[…] Your recent edit to Herbert Marcuse appears to have added incorrect information, so I removed it for now. […]"

The primary reason to change the label is that fascist is (almost) meaningless as a descriptor.[1] Germany after the Weimar Republic was emphatically not fascist, despite current bien-pensance.

The Soviets implemented International Socialism (through their ComIntern — "International Communism") and tried to export it as a worldwide revolution of the proletariate (hence the Trotskyites who still labour to do this even today) ultimately to be remotely controlled, of course, from Moscow and to which Hitler responded by creating German National Socialism, which was firmly under his control. Both systems are centrally controlled authoritarian dictatorships. And, although fascist Italy (the third Axis power, also a dictatorship) was an ally of Germany in WWII, so too was the Communist government under Stalin before Hitler abandoned the Ribbentrop-Molotov non-aggression pact. Recall that when the Italians capitulated to the Allies Hitler had no qualms about fighting them, too. The only hatred more potent than Leftists' hate of the Right is their hatred of other Leftists. (Fundamentally, the C18 French Revolutionary political dichotomy of Left-Right is particularly unhelpful[2] describing these ideologies, and the logical extension of your undoing of my correction is to use fascist for Stalinism, too, since they are more similar than they are different. Which, I would argue, is unhelpful. And why I edited the entry. For clarity's sake. ;)

Instead of the (emotionally charged) unclear term fascist it would be less confusing to use the historically accurate (English translation) of the authoritarian WWII German National Socialist administration —— a transliteration of the German Nationalsozialismus, known almost universally as Nazi. (Nazi would also be accurate but it, too, has suffered a semantic drift, vide infra.)

________

TLDR; Fascist is not a useful term for Germany during WWII because, firstly, it is not accurate and, secondly, the semantic drift in contemporary culture has eroded what use it still has; it has become a word used to describe anyone who is hated. Just like Putin uses "Nazi" to describe anyone he determines is "anti-Russia", since their Great Patriotic War was against the Germans in what the rest of the globe calls WWII, so that he suffers no cognitive turbulence labelling a Jewish man (Volodymyr Zelenskyy) as a Nazi in an effort to explain his current invasion of Ukraine.
