If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."

• To list a technical request: the Uncontroversial technical requests subsection and insert the following code at the bottom of the list, filling in pages and reason:

  This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.
• If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
• If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.

  Doesn't seem uncontroversial - salumi has much higher usage than salume.[1] And probably matches the usual salami rather than salame too.  — Amakuru (talk) 09:32, 6 June 2024 (UTC)

  • @Amakuru: all right, but "salami" (English word; in English the plural is mostly used for some words, and I still don't understand why; e.g. "panini") in Italian is "salame", while the singular of "salumi" is "salume". JackkBrown (talk) 10:20, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
• KFF Tirana AS (currently a redirect to Tirana AS) → Tirana AS (move · discuss) – The club's name has always been Tirana AS and shouldn't be confused with a different club which has a similar name, KFF Tirana. Kj1595 (talk) 17:16, 3 June 2024 (UTC)

  @Kj1595 Are they different? KFF Tirana says they were previously named Tirana AS. Unless I'm mistaken, the AS page should be merged into the KFF Tirana one as they're largely redundant. --Ahecht (TALK

  I have yet to find a single Albanian source which refers to KFF Tirana as the successor club to AS Tirana. AS Tirana formed its own history, independent of KF Tirana. Not only in name but in the logo the club used. Kj1595 (talk) 18:45, 4 June 2024 (UTC)

• Demetrius I of Macedon (currently a redirect to Demetrius I Poliorcetes) → Demetrius I Poliorcetes (move · discuss) – WP uses the nickname for those Hellenistic Kings, see his father Antigonus I Monophtalmos, his son Antigonus II Gonatas, his foes Seleucus I Nikator or Ptolemy I Soter, the name of this page hasn't be updated since 2002 to reflect the practice that came into place on WP on that regard. @Amigao: Technically the request to revert an undiscussed move is valid, but OTOH I think the present title is the correct one per naming conventions at WP:NCE. We only omit the year if it's a widely-known event that is clear without a year.  — Amakuru (talk) 10:01, 6 June 2024 (UTC)

  Probably worth a discussion, as the historical Kingdom of Meath clearly has a long-term significance as well. Navigation statistics show that around 30% of viewers on the dab page go there, which is reasonably high given that County Meath is a current extant county where people live...   Oppose moving, for that matter. The kingdom definitely has long-term significance, and "Meath", as a historical entity, doesn't have the current subdivision as its primary topic. Meath was also one of the historical provinces of Ireland (although their extent fluctuated over time), so I'm surprised that isn't also mentioned in the dab.   @Alexanderkowal Just a note that the title prior to your move, Kerma culture, has historically been the much more common phrase per Google Ngrams, and remains the more common phrase in British english, so this may be an WP:ENGVAR issue where the title should've remained at Kerma culture. --Ahecht (TALK

  The article is on the kingdom (political history) not the society (social history) and the info box has Kingdom of Kerma. I think calling it a culture reduces it, Kerma’s size was as big as the Old Kingdom of Egypt.   Names of metro stations are usually not translated: Ploshchad Revolyutsii, Park Pobedy, Slavyansky Bulvar, ..., so I think we should follow the trend. 212.3.130.205 (talk) 18:00, 5 June 2024 (UTC)
