Template:Future Big Brother 2007 is the upcoming eighth series of the United Kingdom reality television series Big Brother. The series will air on Channel 4, beginning in May 2007.[1]
The first round of auditions started on 6 January 2007[2] at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow where there was a queue of only three hundred people,[3] and finished on 11 February 2007.[4] Auditions were also held at Cardiff, Newcastle upon Tyne, Birmingham, Dublin, Manchester, and London.[5] The eighth series of Big Brother will also involve the first online application for housemates where 100 applicants will be chosen for audition in person.[4]
On 8 March 2007, it was announced that the Carphone Warehouse would not return to sponsor Big Brother 2007,[6] and on 21 March, that Virgin Media, would sponsor the show, for a reported GB£3 million.[7]
Broadcasts
On 4 April 2007, it was announced that Russell Brand had quit the spin off show Big Brother's Big Mouth.[8] It is yet unclear as to whether the show will be returning with a new presenter.
Dermot O'Leary will be returning again to present Big Brother's Little Brother[1] after previous rumours that he would not be, having left to present on The X Factor.[9]
The House
After previous speculation that Big Brother 2007 would be broadcast from a new location in Hammersmith, it was confirmed that the series would still be broadcast in Elstree. However, it will be the last series to be so, with a new house being built in Hammersmith for 2008.[10]
Due to a new legislation, a smoking ban will be in effect in all public placing during the series. Health officials have declared the House as a workplace, meaning housemates will not be allowed to smoke inside the house. They will still be able to smoke outside however.[10]
Fake Logo?
nother batch of likely fake Target eyes have been sent out probably to every BB fansite in existance, but there you go.
Take with buckets of salt, it’s extremely likely to be a load of old rubbish.
So, this is the first one. Presumably it’s the “opening titles” shot, it was named 2007screenshot.png. In the background words say ‘EVERYONE IS A TARGET. THIS IS NOT A HOLIDAY.’ - Sounds a bit harsh, but not exactly fitting with the reported ‘family friendly’ BB8 we’ve all been hearing about.
