Our policies against personal attacks are not optional. I am extremely loathed to prevent someone about whom we have an article from editing this website, but if you continue in these attacks you will leave me no choice. There is absolutely no need for you to comment on other contributors, your speculations about people's sexual orientation or pornographic preference are out of line. Consider this the last warning you will receive, another personal attack and you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia for a period of time - you can make representations about your article via email if that happens. <span style="font-family: Verdana">WjBscribe</span> 21:17, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

: I concur with WJBscribe. On the one hand, I very much want Sanchez to be able to continue to participate at the talkpage of his own bio. On the other, Sanchez has engaged in multiple personal attacks and sexual slurs. Numerous requests, both on- and off-wiki, have been made to Sanchez to cease with this behavior, and yet he continues. If it happens again, I would support a block. --Elonka 21:42, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Welcome

Hello, Bluemarine, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Identity

I am in fact Matt Sanchez. Matthew.a.sanchez@gmail.com — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bluemarine (talkcontribs) 07:13, March 26, 2007 (UTC)

Caution

Please stop. If you continue to blank out (or delete portions of) page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Matt Sanchez, you will be blocked from editing. Aatombomb 01:47, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Editing an article about yourself

There seems to be some indication that you are in fact Matt Sanchez. If so, please review and follow Wikipedia's policies on editing one's own biography and on conflict of interest. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 16:38, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The two problematical items you mentioned on my talk page aren't in the article anymore, so hopefully they are no longer an issue. As you know, it's pretty much impossible to keep inaccuracies out of an article; the best that can be hoped for is that they are promptly removed. (In that regard, I just removed a category, in the article, related to one of the two items you mentioned.)
In general, negative information about a person if it lacks a reliable source can be removed "on sight", per WP:BLP. If you do need to remove such information in the future, and run into any resistance, please feel free to drop me a note; I'll be happy to help on that or anything else I can.
As far as anything else, please note that I'm just another editor here. I do hope you find the policies above to reasonable. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 19:18, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just want to add to what John Broughton said--I'm really trying to work on getting this article NPOV, and the insertion of unrelated images and unsourced anecdotes are just making it harder (not to mention probably inviting more anonymous attack edits). I happen to think there is no need for this article at all; that it was tossed up as a blogosphere-directed hit, but as long as it's here I want to make it as fair as is possible. FYI, John Broughton is extremely fair and isn't part of the groups inserting weasel words and libelous statements. Seriously, take his advice.  :) --Beth C. 20:59, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Matt, first I think words such as 'escorts' are giving you the benefit of the doubt to begin with: maybe nothing more than a full-body massage happens in exchange for $300/hour. However, I find it strange that in articles you allegedly wrote and said "I'm not denying it" and "it happened over ten years ago" that you would turn around and now deny it completely, conveneniently as a "don't ask, don't tell" military investigation has opened up. For someone who has courted controversy, this about-face when the wind changes direction is quite stunning.→ R Young {yakłtalk} 05:20, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:MattSanchez.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:MattSanchez.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:07, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Violations of policy

Please stop adding information to the article Matt Sanchez.

Per Wikipedia:Autobiography, It is difficult to write neutrally about yourself. Therefore, it is considered proper on Wikipedia to let others do the writing. Instead, contribute material or make suggestions on the article's talk page and let independent editors write it into the article itself.

In particular, unreferenced (and quite possibly unverifiable) statements such as these, which you added, are inappropriate:

 • An autodidact, Sanchez has been able to both acquire several languages and pen articles in those languages
 • Lovingly referred to as Refer Mechs, Marines claim the jack of all trades combat engineers have the most important job in the Corps: Keeping the beer
 • Matt Sanchez was known for being especially muscular. His fellow Marines asked him to move a refrigeration unit without a crane. Rumor has it, that he did just that. There are also reports that his arms (19") did not fit well into his Marine camies and that the sleeves needed to be tailored to accommodate his girth.

Please let other editors evaluate what is appropriate to add to your article: It is impossible for you to have a neutral point of view. And please not the per WP:NOT, Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collector of facts; we don't put everything that is known about a person into that person's biography.

If you continue to add information to your own, article, you may be blocked for violating Wikipedia policy. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 21:11, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality

There's no neutrality here. The bloggers are breaking their own rules. I added a different interview with Kevin McCullough. You have not been at all neutral. The LGBT community wishes to publicly assassinate me, and you insist that I have no neutrality.

I suggest we post the longer, more thorough Kevin McCullough advertisement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bluemarine (talkcontribs) 07:08, March 28, 2007 (UTC)

Name-Calling

Jihadist because people have issued a fatwa because gay men, like yourself, who have a personal bias against me because you feel threatened by someone who doesn't agree with you.

My face is everywhere online. 00:35, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Matt Sanchez

Matt,

Why do you insist on calling everyone a name ('jihadists,' 'these fags') that you don't agree with? First, I wouldn't be surprised if you were 'straight' but that would make you 'gay-for-pay' which means you performed gay acts for money...i.e. 'prostitution.' You said yourself that 'pornography is prostitution' which by YOUR definition makes you a (fill in the blank).

Notably, you call people 'faceless cowards' when in fact their faces appear online. Hmmm. You complain of bias but you break every rule to push an agenda which is itself biased, contorted, distorted, and totally unsupportable. I think you must be enjoying the attention. If so, keep it up.→ R Young {yakłtalk} 04:29, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please read this warning, or you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia

Most of your image uploads lack any source and/or licencing information. Please clean these images up immediately by adding the correct tags, or have them deleted by adding the db-author tag. If you fail to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia because of persistent copyright violations. Sandstein 18:30, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In reply to your question, please see WP:TAGS. In short, if the image is copyrighted by someone else, you must provide a fair use tag (see how-to). If you created the image, then the tag you apply to the image determines its licence. In either case, you must specify the source of the image (e.g. a weblink, or "own work"). I have added a "prod" template to the article Cpl Tyler Rock, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Re: Matt Sanchez

I see from your recent actions that you are unhappy with coverage about you on Wikipedia at Matt Sanchez. We take very seriously any comments from the subjects of articles that their content are untrue or not presented neutrally. Having looked at the article, I can see why you are concerned. I would like to discuss the contents of the article with you and the others involved so that a mutually agreed version can be reached. Int he meantime please do not edit war over the article.

Unspecified source for Image:Bjorn.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Bjorn.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the GFDL-self-no-disclaimers tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:01, 20 May 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. User:Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr) 20:01, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Cpl Rock.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Strangerer (Talk) 09:40, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Personal attacks

Please do not attack other editors, which you did here: Talk:Matt Sanchez. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

Throttle down the personal attacks. Regardless of your personal history with some of the other editors, calling them "screwed up fags" and "disgusting sodomites" is NOT acceptable. Another editor just came off of an involuntary wikibreak due to incivility; if you don't calm down, you'll be doing the same. Horologium t-c 01:45, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tone, avoiding personal attacks

You really need to watch your tone when contributing. I realise that you are under a lot of pressure (from one attack site in particular) and that the present content of your article here causes you stress, but you need to be careful in how you express yourself. Baiting other editors is not helpful... WjBscribe 05:09, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And so we're utterly clear, however much you may feel provoked, attacks such as these- [1] and [2] on another editor are completely unacceptable. As is using derogatory terms about others' sexual orientation. Attacks of that nature in future, regardless of provocation, will result in your being blocked from editing Wikipedia for a period of time. WjBscribe 05:17, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User identifying as Blue Marine and Matt Sanchez

I don't have proof that you are or aren't Matt Sanchez but your pervasive and prolific posting on multiple topics are disruptive and that you are the subject of the article easily borders on violating WP protocols. Please read up on Wikipedia:Autobiography and Wikipedia:Disruptive editing. Please note: I'm not accusing you of either of these but I believe your voluminous comments on the talk pages fly in the face of the policies and do violate the spirit of cooperation needed to produce good articles.

I suggest that you

1. "chill" and when you do repost keep it civil and productive. If another editor(s) are adding unverified statements or information supported only by blogosphere rumors it will be deleted. It might not happen immediately but there are a lot of folks watching the page so it should happen rather soon. 2. Focus instead on adding the material you think is missing and should be included. Providing the weblink directly to the source and it's easy enough for someone else to start to sort it out. 3. Work on some other articles. Biographies of living people are notoriously back and forth processes that take time. You may have noticed that I have yet to make a big edit on yours since I haven't had the time to read through everything that's already happened and I've been working on other articles. You can do the same, although you're a near-expert on yourself you could easily contribute to other articles just as well. Benjiboi 20:21, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop personal attacks

Posting "I'm just a paranoid, conspiracy, unhappy, unattractive homosexual who has lost too much money on escorts who obviously aren't interested in me"[3] violate Wikipedia's civility and personal attacks policies. Please stop. Benjiboi 20:06, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

More personal attacks

Please stop your personal attacks. They are unwarranted and violate WP policies. You have called me a "gay porn groupie" and "homosexual with an ax to grind" adding "There's nothing "balanced and neutral" about this guy." In addition you collectively called the article editors "catty gay men" and "sodomites." If you are unable to constructively and peacefully participate in the talk pages processes avoiding disruptive behavior and personal attacks then you should put your energies into other articles of interest to you. Enough

I concur with WJBscribe. --Elonka 21:42, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
