Welcome

Welcome!

Hello, Brerose, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome! Hi! I'm not going to be able to help you very quickly. Please go to Wikipedia:Help desk and ask for help there. Good luck and happy editing. ike9898 (talk) 13:41, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have declined your speedy request for this article, as it's not clear at all that this was a test page. I did a bit of research, and even though I can't read Serbian, there seems to be plenty of material linking this name to its football team, so I've reverted your edit. In addition, it's usually considered bad form to replace the entire text of an article with a speedy tag, next time please just put the speedy tag at the top of the article, leaving the rest intact so that the reviewing admin can see what is going on.

If you've any questions, please feel free to ask at my talk page. Lankiveil (speak to me) 01:15, 13 September 2008 (UTC).[reply]

Yes, there are different speedy deletes. Have a look at Wikipedia:CSD. In particular, there is an extensive list of tags at the bottom of that page that cover just about every valid speedy deletion situation that can arise. Lankiveil (speak to me) 01:24, 13 September 2008 (UTC).[reply]

September 2008

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Mr. Monk and the Panic Room, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted by ClueBot. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you believe there has been a mistake and would like to report a false positive, please report it here and then remove this warning from your talk page. If your edit was not vandalism, please feel free to make your edit again after reporting it. The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Mr. Monk and the Panic Room was changed by Raggonix (u) (t) blanking the page on 2008-09-13T01:37:46+00:00 . Thank you. ClueBot (talk) 01:37, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Mr. Monk and the Panic Room, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. As I said earlier, please use a proper CSD template rather than just blanking the page if you want to delete a page, that way we know *why* you want the page deleted. Lankiveil (speak to me) 02:02, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of America's Toughest Jobs

A tag has been placed on America's Toughest Jobs, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Andrew Kelly (talk) 03:59, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of America's Toughest Jobs

A tag has been placed on America's Toughest Jobs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Speedy deletion of America's Toughest Jobs

A tag has been placed on America's Toughest Jobs, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page, as you did with America's Toughest Jobs, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. What part of "do not remove this notice from pages that you have created yourself" do you not understand? Largo Plazo (talk) 04:29, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am only 11.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Raggonix (talkcontribs)
OK. Well, Wikipedia has lots of policies and guidelines for creating and editing articles! You can't create an article with just anything you want. Also, you don't own an article you create: other people can come along at any time and change it (hopefully, to make it better; they have to follow policies and guidelines too).

Some good ideas are at WP:NOT, WP:STYLE, WP:Your First Article. It might seem like there are a lot of rules there, but they're necessary to help make Wikipedia a useful resource instead of a hopeless mess. And when someone posts a notice on a page you've created, you really do need to read it before reacting to it. —Largo Plazo (talk) 04:42, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove or revert article content without providing an explanation in the edit summary, as you did to Mortal Kombat (film). Thank you. sixtynine • speak, I say • 00:54, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting adminship

Please create the page with the request before posting it on WP:RFA. However, you may not wish to apply for adminship yet as you only have about 100 edits and most successful candidates have at least 2000 or 3000. Useight (talk) 04:50, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

October 2008

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Temecula, California, did not appear to be constructive and has been removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. That Charles Washington is not the right Charles Washington, and you know it. Mawfive (talk) 04:06, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Craig Ferguson. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Don't delete perfectly good information, especially without an explanation in a meaningful edit comment or on the talk page. —Largo Plazo (talk) 11:39, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. Please use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did, and feel free to use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do. Thank you. This notice pertains to the derisive edit summaries you have been leaving in articles such as Nathan Petrelli and Scooby-Doo. Please confine your summaries to civil explanations of what you changed and your legitimate reason for doing so. —Largo Plazo (talk) 11:46, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contribution to User talk:Chaosvii7, but we are trying to write an encyclopedia here, so please keep your edits factual and neutral. Our readers are looking for serious articles and will not find joke edits amusing. Remember, millions of people read Wikipedia, so we have to take what we do here seriously. If you'd like to experiment with editing, use the sandbox to get started. Thank you. It doesn't matter that you know him as you indicated in your edit summary. This kind of humor isn't appropriate on Wikipedia and is disruptive. —Largo Plazo (talk) 11:49, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on K.C Guthrie requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article and put a note on the page's discussion page saying why this article should stay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you. Matthewedwards 04:48, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow or move it unilaterally while discussion about it is underway, as you did to K.C. Guthrie. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you. Matthewedwards 04:48, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to K.C. Guthrie. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Matthewedwards 04:48, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on K.C. Guthrie. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Matthewedwards 04:48, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{blockquote}} should do it. Also, go to your preferences and change your signature box to say {{subst:subst:subst:subst:User:Raggonix/sig}}; that should fix the issue. Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 04:43, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
After you edit for a bit, sure. I have to make sure you won't abuse it first. And can you fix up your sig ASAP, please? Just see my edit above this one for how. Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 05:29, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Why do I need to? Raiku Lucifer Samiyaza
Two reasons; first, it doesn't lag the server as much, and second, you aren't vulnerable to somebody messing up your sig and affecting hundreds of pages that you've used it on. Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 05:31, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know how to. Raggonix 05:50, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Go to your Preferences and set Signature to {{subst:subst:subst:subst:User:Raggonix/sig}}. And use four tildes instead of three. :) Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 05:50, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mythbusters (season 5)

I see that originally the article Mythbusters (season 5) had the word "bitch", linked to the article Bitch. "Bitch" is a perfectly good word, it's correct in the context in which it was used, and it was linked to an article with that name, so it seems to me that it was entirely appropriate for it to be there. You changed the link to read "female dog", and someone who thought it had been fine the way it was changed it back. This has happened a few times, and now I see that in an edit summary you have threatened the other person with action. What rule do you think the other person is breaking, and why do you keep changing it from what it was originally?—Largo Plazo (talk) 20:23, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There could be kids on the wikipedia and they stumble across it. I know. I am 11. Raiku Lucifer Samiyaza
Yes, I know you're 11 and kids could be reading Wikipedia. Two things, though. First, I know that you probably are most familiar with the word "bitch" used as a curse word, but it was first, and still is, a word meaning "female dog" in the same way that "lioness" is a female lion, and there isn't anything wrong with it in that sense. Second, Wikipedia is not censored. Well, it is in some way, but as the article says, it should be based on what kind of tone is appropriate for an article, not on whether a word is offensive; and, of course, we are required to be civil. The use of the word "bitch" to mean "female dog" isn't inconsistent with an encyclopedic tone.
Incidentally, speaking of tone, I see that you keep razzing people, making comments that aren't related to the changes you've made (for example, calling people spammers when they weren't spamming), and threatening them (when they haven't done anything wrong) in your edit summaries. May I suggest that you read WP:CIVIL on how people are expected to interact with each other when they participate in Wikipedia?
Another thing: I saw that someone else had already asked you to subst: your signature, but you still haven't done that. In the place where you have your signature defined as {{subst:subst:subst:User:Raggonix/sig}}, you must change it to {{subst:subst:subst:subst:User:Raggonix/sig}}.—Largo Plazo (talk) 20:34, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't really know how. Raiku Lucifer Samiyaza
Oh. Then I guess you aren't using three tildes (~~~) to make your signature, you're just typing {{subst:subst:subst:User:Raggonix/sig}}. Well, click the "my preferences" link at the very top of the page, next to "my watchlist". On the first tab on that page, User Profile, one of the fields is a place for you to type your signature. Put '''[[User:Raggonix/redirect|<span style="color:red">Raggon</span>]][[User talk:Raggonix|<span style="color:black">ix</span>]]'''. Click the Save button at the bottom of the page. Then, instead of what you've been doing to sign your messages, type ~~~~. The tildes will be replaced with your signature followed by the date. —Largo Plazo (talk) 21:58, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hosting a Wiki

Wikia hosts many Wikis like that. But one of this name or purpose may already exist/be taken, the chances of being granted a wiki 'Entertainment' is kind of small. They may grant a more specific one though. Clark89 (talk) 04:45, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your RfA

I'm afraid it's extremely unlikely to be successful, given the standards many have for RfA. Would you mind if I close it prematurely? You may leave it open if you wish, but I'm afraid you're likely to get a lot of opposes. Enigmamsg 04:16, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Close it. Raggonix 04:17, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Will do. Let me know if you have questions about the RfA process. Enigmamsg 04:18, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, you will not get many supports at RfA unless you have at least 2,000 edits or so. 1,000 at the very barest minimum. You need to demonstrate civility, which means being polite to other editors. Also, it would be good to have experience fighting vandalism and building articles. Perhaps being adopted would be a good idea? Here is a list of people who are looking for adoptees. An adopter can teach you more about various things on Wikipedia, including the WP:RFA process. Enigmamsg 04:24, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Would you like me to delete the RFA or would you like to keep it for a future run? MBisanz talk 04:41, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Keep. Raggonix 04:56, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey!

Hey Raiku, MoP here! How's things? Just dropping by to see how you're doing and to see if you have any questions or need anything so far. Also, a note; I'll be making a page at User:Master of Puppets/Adoption soon with a bunch of nifty goodies and stuff, so keep your eyes open! :) Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :D 14:13, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Raiku Lucifer Samiyaza 00:59, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, #wikipedia-en-adopt would be the one, I think. #wikipedia-en-help can also be helpful, though the first one is the 'official' source. Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :D 22:18, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback

I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe I can trust you to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 16:21, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
