Insert non-formatted text here==Incredible Games==
I distinctly remember the voice of the "Incredible Games" lift to be that of Gary Parker, American-accented presenter of Professor Bubble, to which my brother was hooked as a youngster, and never that of David Walliams. I could be wrong, though. Bobo192 22:35, 12 November 2005 (UTC)
David Walliams did the first series. Gary Parker took over for series 2 when a few subtle changes were made to the show. 22:11, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
doda.
Change the Image?
Perhaps an image with only him in it, to make it more clear?
Change Picture again?
I know finding a good picture can be difficult but does anyone have a better one than the one that is currently in the infobox? Perhaps one with him facing more towards the camera? yettie0711 (talk) 17:51, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Image
I'm pretty certain that this photo is not one of David Walliams. Guille (talk) 18:39, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
- Certainly not a great photo but he was in attendance at the premiere of Prince Caspian. I agree the photo could be better. -- Horkana (talk) 02:08, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
Ethnicity
Is he Eurasian?
Something about his eyes, which look oriental - hiss father shares this trait, so I wondered if he had maybe one Chinese grandparent. DavidFarmbrough 22:06, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
I'd just like to poin out how hilarious that would be considering he called Chinaman 'ching-chong Chinaman', God is just one may say.
I agree, he looks Eurasian
DavidFarmbrough, completely I agree with you.
To me, I think David Walliams is undoubtedly part Asian. Having an oriental grandparent or even great-grandparent would be a possibility. I doubt one of his immediate parents are full-blooded Asians, but he does take after his father, as DavidFarmbrough said.
Unfortunately, this is unofficial. I have no proof that he is, only judging by looks alone.
Honestly people, I urge anyone who is cynical to watch an episode of Little Britain or one of his other TV shows, and you'll see.
Plz take a look at him while he's on this cooking show:
"Walliams"
He changed his name for Equity purposes. Why? What were the issues involved? What does the sentence even mean?
- It means when he first tried to register with Equity, the actors' union, there was already a David Williams. Equity doesn't allow two members with the same name, so it is customary to change your name if a member already has yours. So David Walliams changed his name. David Jason did the same thing, as have a lot of actors. Dev920 (Have a nice day!) 21:47, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
Height
Surely Walliams is 6 feet 5 or 6 feet 6 tall, when he stands next to a door he is almost as tall as it, the average door is 6 feet and 6 inches tall, can we confirm this and add him to the Famous Tall Men page.
- Walliams is 6 feet 2 inches tall so he doesn't really qualify to be included in the Famous Tall Men list. He also mentioned in Little Britain's Big Swim that in his youth, he was slightly overweight. Can we put his height and his left-handedness fact (currently stated under Biography which is inappropriate) under Trivia? The article about him seems unorganised and we should get a photo of him as himself, not as Sebastian Love or Lou Todd from Little Britain. I'll write to the David Walliams' fan website to see if we can get their help in editing this wiki article.60.50.60.191 13:54, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Spaced appearance
He appeared as Vulva in Spaced in 2000. I have changed the article as it suggested he appeared in 2003. Series one of Spaced was 2000, series two was 2001. Also I don't recall him saying he was an impressionist artist - he mocked Brian for still doing abstract expressionism but his own work was a surreal performance art. 62.164.245.231 09:21, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
Pronunciation of name
Living as I do in a remote European outpost, I have never heard his name pronounced; as it was indeed invented by him, the article should say: like Wall or Wallace? Rothorpe (talk) 19:38, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
Wailiams? Wahliams? Wagliams without the g? Rothorpe (talk) 02:02, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
Walrus? Walton? Rothorpe (talk) 23:28, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, we get the point. Rothorpe (talk) 23:29, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
- /ˈwæliəmz/ - "Wagliams without the g". Lfh (talk) 16:07, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
